I am updating my review to add information to share. Charlie has regularly scheduled appointments with Amanda. Her established relationship with my little fur baby enabled her to notice a small change in his health that I was not aware of. Amanda noticed that my little Charlie was losing his hair and because I see him everyday, I didn't realize it. I took him to the vet and got him the treatment that he needed. My point in mentioning this is that Amanda truly cares about the animals in her care at this salon. We are very fortunate to have met her! Charlie's all ready for St. Patty's Day! read more

This is my first to go to this store I stop to get a filter on my fish tank. I love fish and I saw there's a lot of great and nice fish there. I saw that there's 20% sale going on koi fish so I called the sales associate to help me out. She asked me what size of tank I have and she can't sell me those fish because I have a smaller tank. I said oh yeah. So I decided to get another angel fish and she asked me again what fish do I have in my house and a lot of more questions like I'm buying it for my nephew and if he's parents are okay with it. Sometimes it's too much to answer and it's irritating and you're just there to shop and be done with it. She said I can only sell u one since it's going to get bigger. In my mind was like wow! For real this is crazy ever. This is ridiculous for a fish . I never have someone did this to me. Just to be honest after that I went to other pet store and guess what I bought a bigger fish tank and more koi fish that my koi fish will fit in and I didn't buy on 20 %. I told the other associates how rude you guys are. You never shouldn't treat your customers like that because you never know how your customers are dealing with. My dog is pretty difficult. I'm very impressed how Evelyn went above and beyond on him. She made sure that he was comfortable with her and she did not give up when he was becoming snarky. Evelyn is amazing and I would definitely come back to her! Other groomers I've went to would only shave my labradoodle but she took her time and made sure all his mats were out. I schedule out my dogs appointments months in advance because the salon is booked out quite a bit. So, she had an appointment today March 18, 2023 at 9:00. My boyfriend drops her off at 8:50 and was given the time frame 2-3 hours. As the 3rd hour approaches he calls and was told it'll be another hour. Something told me to walk in. I walked into the store and I didn't see her on any of the tables but other dogs were being groomed. I walked in and spoke to "Mari". She said that she was bathed but she hasn't started on her haircut. I requested that I will take my dog because she's been here for 3 hours which is over the time that they told me. She then goes on to tell me that it was 3-4 And I said no you told My boyfriend 2-3 hours. (which it's always under 3 hours). She told me that there was going to be a $15 free for express wash. I just nodded my head I was done listening to her. She gave me the invoice and I went to the register. I spoke to the lady at the register and requested a manager. She asked what happened? I explained the situation to her and she said that she would take care of it and folded the paper up. The excuse for this is because they are short 1 groomer. I'm a totally understanding person and I would've just taken my dog and rebook for a later date like they did last time. Unfortunately, she was left in a kennel for a very long time when I could've just rescheduled! AND this is the second time this happened at the same location just with a different groomer. The only reason why I went back was because the manager offered her a free groom last year and Noe is an amazing groomer. I will not be coming back to this place ever again. I paid for 6 week puppy classes. I bought a puppy because all but 1 of my 4 children have moved out on their own. I have health issues so I thought getting a dog was a great idea she could be my companion and protector my first experience with Lisa the dog trainer was awful I had to buy treats from the store I tried to pay another student to go to the counter for me because due to my congestive heart failure I have shortness of breathe I could barely form a sentence due to my complications I tried to explain to Lisa but she had no empathy or sympathy she made me take my pit bull puppy and she is very strong. I had to go through the whole store to purchase these treats it made me late but the class did not teach hardly anything due to misbehaving dogs so she said we would make up this class by coming an extra week which was very kind. The next week Layla(my puppy) did not want to go she fought me so bad she wiggled out of her harness and leach she was running through the parking lot I finally got a hold of her we had to sit inside for a few minutes so that I can get my barrens together I could not catch my breathe finally I caught my breathe and we went to class I tried explaining my tardiness Lisa didn't even let me get everything out before she rudely interrupted me saying the harness needs to be on the dog before class starts when your at home but the harness on. I'm trying to explain that Layla wiggled out of the harness she once again interrupted me saying your dog is not allowed in class with no harness or collar. I've come here before for the grooming salon, and usually all is well. However, I felt compelled to write about the runaround I got today. I prescheduled bath and haircut services as usual; even confirmed and did an early check-in via the app. Upon timely arrival for our 10AM appointment, there were no staff in the grooming salon. We (my dog and I) waited about 10 mins before we exited - and found a chair just outside. Finally we were greeted by a store employee stating that MOST of the groomers had called out sick, and the one person was in the back. We waited patiently, before she went to the back to check for herself. About 1030AM, another customer enters the grooming salon to find no success either. Finally he speaks to another store employee, who stated that all the grooming staff have called in sick and they have reached out to all those who had appointments at 9AM. I responded that I've been waiting for 30 mins, and was told by another employee that there was still one person. He responded that I was not on the appointment list, and insisted that he called everyone; even when I showed him the confirmation on my app. I understand the unexpected sometimes happen. However I didn't appreciate the gentleman working there insist that I didn't have an appointment. Otherwise I wouldn't have driven all the way from Vallejo and waited 30+ mins. Grooming center: I recently took my English bulldog to get a nail trim and ear cleaning because he has allergies and gets buildup in his ears. The groomer (woman with dark hair and glasses) was very rude and condescending speaking to me as if I don't take care of my dog. He had just been to the vet and they said it was normal for his condition to have earwax buildup. She was rude and spoke slowly like I was stupid and didnt know what I was doing. read more

Grooming: our favorite groomer left and we had been going here for 4 years, so we decided to try going to Liz. WE WILL NOT RETURN. The top of my dogs hair looked choppy and we paid extra for nail grinding bc their nails were super long (main reason why we book grooming) and Liz had just cut their nails and FAILED to mention she did not grind them prior to us paying. She then told my husband after he paid that she "owed him a nail grind and to come back this week for it". She only cut a few of one of my dogs nails too, not even a complete job. Always do a great job when grooming/bathing my border collie/lab mix. He's not the easiest to handle either, because he gets very excited around new people and other dogs. Last week, I booked a grooming appointment, nail trim & teeth cleaning, for Shadow (poodle mix). The person who took the call clearly communicated back to me the services so that I knew we were on the same page. When I arrived and dropped off Shadow, I reiterated what services I had requested and the Groomer (Aileen) acknowledged the request. I immediately paid for the service and was told to return in about 3 hours to pick him up. Upon returning to pick up Shadow, one of my sons asked if they had trimmed his nails. Aileen said that she had forgotten and brought the dog back to her table to perform a quick nail trim. As we were walking out, my son again asked if they had cleaned his teeth. Again, she said she forgot and went back to her station and grabbed a dog tooth brush and some green paste. Aileen took all but about 30 seconds to brush his teeth in the reception area. Seriously, I could have done that for $11! Slightly frustrated, we left and went home. That night, my wife had a chance to look over the job Aileen did. She noticed Shadow still had long hair around his paws and that the length wasn't consistent as we had expected. There were also several nails that had not been trimmed. Certainly not worth the $59 in our opinion. The following day I called and spoke with the Grooming Department Manager (Teasa) and advised her I was bringing Shadow back to fix the issues. When I arrived, the second time, I was greeted by Aileen and she asked if I wanted to have her or someone else complete the grooming job. I reluctantly said she could finish it up. While waiting in the reception area, I heard Shadow yelp several times and she even made the comment that he was a bit friskier today. I made sure she trimmed his nails and brushed his teeth thoroughly this time. About 10 minutes later Shadow was ready to leave. Let it be known that I'm not here to smear Teasa, or her Grooming Department. I'm truly unhappy and dissatisfied with the job that Aileen did and the fact that I've had to make two trips to this location to fix what should have been done right the first time. I have a 4 year old Labradoodle, Daisy, and 2 Shih tzu's, Lola 10 and Oreo 11 years old. Daisy is afraid of anyone who is not my daughter, my husband and I. She is even afraid of my 2 sons, who adore her. We adopted her 7 months ago. But Daisy is actually excited to go to Petsmart grooming in Fairfield. When we get there, she cannot wait to get inside and doesn't even look back to say goodbye to us. Evelyn is our groomer and she is the sweetest and the greatest. I can tell all our dogs love her. Oreo and Lola have always hated grooming day, but since we started going there, they never cry when we leave. The grooming is always nice. I no longer need to fix anything. I feel really bad leaving this review because it's only for one person, the manager Teasa. Everyone else in the salon has always been really nice! But Teasa is horrible. I'll try to keep this short. My girlfriend and I have been bringing her dog in there for a while for her nails, because Monica is wonderful. However, since we've been coming in, starting around June, we've been really uncomfortable with their new manager. On two separate occasions we saw Teasa bullying her coworkers, especially this one girl in the middle of the salon (Kiara?). Kiara asked Teasa for help one time and Teasa laughed at her, and another time, Teasa just snapped at Kiara about something else really condescendingly and loudly in front of all of us. She does this to another girl who works beside Kiara, but we didn't catch her name. Also three different times, Teasa has been extremely rude to customers, and has called them idiots when they leave. The last time we were in, these two women were told that their dogs weren't allowed back after being there for years. Teasa was SO RUDE to them, and this other manager came in from the store to talk to the two women (maybe the store's manager?). After that, the women were leaving, and Teasa made ANOTHER rude remark as they were leaving, and it sparked another huge argument all over again. All for nothing! Keep in mind that my girlfriend and I were there, and maybe two other people. I don't know why we've had to see Teasa every time we come in, but she's always talking down to an employee, being rude to customers, or getting bit by her dog. This is a little crazy but I googled "Teasa groomer" because we heard her mention she had her own shop I guess. I found Little Shop of Hair on Yelp and oh my GOD the 1 star reviews. Another person pointed out that Teasa was rude to her employees over there too, and she harasses all of the one star comments by threatening to sue them and calling them names (she calls someone a 'd*ck,' and calls another woman an alcoholic'. A year later and we still take our Pomsky Diesel to Evelyn on a regular basis. He was able to go from nail clippers to grinders with the help and hard work from Evelyn. Danny is the best!!!!! Our fur baby is not the easiest to handle when he's getting his nails done, especially since he's about 90 lbs. of pup. I've never had an actual bad experience at PetSmart grooming but I was highly impressed with how Danny handled the meet and greet. Our dog is mainly around women and is shy/apprehensive around men and will just hide behind my partner and I. Danny, however, sat on the ground and just let Kai warm up to him before pulling him to the back. It was the absolute best meet and greet I've ever observed where I felt comfortable leaving. I go to Petco which is right next to in and out. I usually complain about them taking too long but I never will again. My dog got groomed today by Evelyn at the Fairfield PetSmart and the haircut was nice, paws looked good and then I was scratching her back and it felt like dirt was falling off of her..... because there was!! She was not bathed and I paid almost 70 dollars!!!! Teeth were not brushed which I also paid for. Its a hit or miss with this place but I feel cheated, and still have to give my dog a bath. I'm making this review for the 7 week training here at PetSmart. I can finally write this review since we just finished the training last Friday. Before enrolling my dog, I remember reading some reviews on yelp about how Lisa (the trainer) was very rude, but decided to still have my 1 year old dog train here since some people also said she was a very good trainer. The cashier at PetSmart enrolled my dog as an exception in the "puppy" class since he is a small 15lbs dog. The very first day of training, she checked to make sure we had our vaccinations and then started the training. Lisa immediately started to judge how some of our group's puppies were shy and did not want to take the treats from her hand. Then she proceeded to rant about how us as owners should have enrolled our dogs at a younger age since I guess younger dogs are more prone to being open to new people. She kept going on an on about how some of our groups dogs "should have been enrolled at 3 months" instead of 5 months (even though the description of the beginner's puppy class says the puppies can be from 10 weeks to 6 months old). How are FIRST time dog owners supposed to know that our dogs were supposed to be enrolled earlier especially when most of us listen to our vets on when to enroll? Also at the very first training, she also managed to point out that 5/6 of the dogs in our group were all overweight and we should not be feeding them treats, which was contradicting because we trained them specifically with a lot of treats in the training. Over the next few weeks, Lisa got significantly more rude. She was overly impatient and had an extreme attitude to a BEGINNER'S puppy class. I believe on the 3rd week, I asked her if there was any way to get my dog to stop biting on my hands to ask for scratching and she said in a rude way that it is "normal and he just likes the way it feels" which honestly didn't solve anything. I could not attend week 5 with my boyfriend, but according to him, Lisa started yelling at everyone for not training their dogs at home correctly. I understand her frustration, but as a "professional" trainer, you should not be yelling at anyone who is paying for your services. After hearing that, I didn't end up going to the last 2 sessions since I did not want to deal with her attitude. My boyfriend attended them instead. She claims to be an expert, but contradicts most of the things she says. Needless to say, I will not be enrolling my dog in the intermediate class here with Lisa after our very negative experience. read more

I went in here yesterday and boy was I disappointed. As far as the facility itself, it looked very organized and very clean. The animals looked well taken care of but, I felt bad that the cats were in such small/tight areas. I learned you can adopt these but not because someone helped me and checked on me to see if I needed anything. Not once did anyone even see if I needed help or greet me. As I was walking out, the same lady I seen at the door who didn't greet me, greeted someone else. Ummm...ok. They need to be more welcoming. Whether I'm here to shop or just look around. Clearly, I wasn't the only one here with a kid to look around. I highly recommend the puppy training classes- I adopted a stray puppy about 2 months ago and I own all cats, so I really had no idea what I was doing. I signed up for the 6 week puppy beginner class with Lisa as my trainer and it has been a wonderful experience! Lisa was very patient and just works magic with the dogs. I especially love how she is never in a hurry - she will answer all of your questions and actually stay and help you until you feel confident to proceed. We love the grooming salon at this PetSmart location. Our maltipoo's groomer is Marina. She is kind, attentive and is very gentle with our furry girl. She reviews everything beforehand and does a wonderful job. We used to go to the Vacaville location when we first moved to Vacaville but weren't very pleased with their service. Just finished getting home from a quick run to PetSmart. I barely got there 5 mins before they closed. I rushed to the doors so I could just run in and get my puppy's food before they closed at 9pm. Clean store, good products, and nice staff. A HUGE change from the one years ago on Pennsylvania Street, in which one would get proselytized immediately upon entering by a "staff member" who would rant and rave about the evils of puppy farms, and go on and on about genetic defects and all. Great, except this female was about 5'5', weighed about 250 pounds, wore super-thick coke bottle lenses, and had so many freckles that you could play connect-the-dots for a decade and still have some combination left undone. I can't offer lower, 1 will have to do. I have not used PetSmart in over a year due to a bad experience. My usual groomer went out of business and I didn't know until I attempted to go by and make an appointment. So when it was time to groom my labradoodle, I was on the hunt for a new groomer. I foolishly returned to PetSmart and asked them for full service but do not shave. They checked him over and excepted the job. She later called and stated that she may need to go shorter than I requested originally. I was understanding and agreed. I came 4.5 hrs later to find my shaved, unbathed, and not finished dog. She states she can not go any longer and that I have to return. She did not even offer any compensation for the inconvenience. When I put in a complaint, they called and let me know that if I was not happy, I can come and pick up my dog. If the job is beyond her scope of ability, I wish she would have said something and I would have continued to look for another groomer. If your dog has curly hair, please beware. read more
