I ordered dog food on 8/30/25 to start up an auto ship. I have used chewy.com in the past but thought I would take advantage of an auto ship special with petsmart. The website said it would be delivered on 9/3/25. It's now 9/9/25 and I still don't have the food. I cancelled the auto ship but they won't allow me to cancel the current order because it's still in route. At this point my dogs will starve so I had to run to a different pet store to buy the food because I will never purchase anything from PetSmart again. Their customer service is terrible, no one has responded to any of my messages. I will go back to chewy.com, they deliver on their promised delivery date. read more

Called Avon, OH store for grooming appointment for my 2 yorkies. Waited a week, had a 7:00 grooming time. Girl got out of her car, opened the store, never even made eye contact, or "good morning" to us. Told us to wait awhile, then told us that our groomer wasn't coming in. Will never go to Petsmart again. There should be a system where they can reach the clients when a situation occurs. read more

Better than not good This trip deserves a zero I have been using Pet Smart grooming for2 of my dogs for over 8 years One is sensitive if not treated with a calm and patient groomer. The groomer (Lana) was verbally rude to me She lectured me because they are not on flea/tick medications. I have live in my residence for 27 years with numerous pet and no one has ever had fleas or ticks. I currently have 6 pets so if there were fleas I would know because they would also be biting me. The problem is her She obviously does not like my dogs This time she has now banned 1 of them from being groomed at Pet Smart. She is the only groomer who has had a major problem with her. She was constantly (bragging) that she is the best & most experienced groomer in the store. She also said that due to her breed she probably ha arthritis and to have my vet check her out. I do have another dog who is arthritic and that is not the case with my 9 year old. She was verbal rude to me the entire time and obviously had no patience to be grooming my dogs. After I got home my sweet 14 year old was fussing over her tail This is when I found that she had a large cut on the underside of her tail that I was not informed of when I picked them up I am now having her treated so that it does not become infected. She had a bad attitude with me as a customer and took it out on my pets. All she kept saying is that she was the best and most experience groomer in the store. I could tell by the reaction on the faces of the other employees who were present that something was not right. I will never step foot inside any Pet Smart store again cue to this groomer. In the past no one has had a major issue with her. Another clue was that this is the first time dropping off or picking them up that there were no other dogs to be groomed. Better watch out for loss of business due to this disgusting employee to both my and both my dogs. You don't even deserve a 1 start rating. I will be making sure all my friends and relatives that go there will also find a groomer who treats them with patience and kindness read more

I got a rare betta from them. They sell by the type not the rarity, so he was only $4. I got him from petsmart the day he came in. I highly recommend getting the fish when they come in you can call in and ask when there last shipment was and when there next is. My fish is healthy and about 2 in big. The betta have to be in a cup so they don't fight or breed. Is anyone has questions let me know read more

Really unhappy with this place. I'll go from less worse, to the worse... The store is rather dark, poorly lit. They don't pay any attention to the customers, the few associates there are. They leave their carts blocking aisles... Not like a safety issue, on purpose, but just careless. Safety issues were present, with shelves just leaning in high traffic areas. Their animal cages are clean, but the cages don't show any care for the animals. The gerbils are showing signs of waltzing, a sign they lack enrichment, and others had wheels that were broken. So sure they clean the cages, but they really don't care about their animals. Finally, their adoption schedule is bull crap. They have a list (calendar), and each Saturday has the same place. Well, they don't. They say "sometimes they show up, we just have to have events." Really? They do not care at all... And I noticed an associate struggling with an animal. Not only did she stay out in public trying to transport this reptile to a box (they have closed off areas behind the cases for a reason), and when the manager came over, she was making rude comments about the person buying it. Anna did a great job grooming our Bichon. He's an older dog with bad knees and she took such great care of him. You can tell she really loves dogs and your furry friend will be in good hands. I'll definitely be taking him back to see Anna when it's time for another cut. read more

I bought a toy for my cat for Christmas. It was an electronic toy with batteries. When I opened it for him, it wouldn't turn on. I changed the batteries, still nothing. I returned the item to the store and was informed that to replace it, I would have to pay an extra $5 because they used my rewards points on the original transaction. I wasn't asking to return it (which would be understandable), but to exchange the broken one for a replacement. They had more of them in the store, but I was told that I still had to pay more money to exchange it. The cashier said there was nothing he could do about it because of the way the system was set up. I reached out to the help department and have not had more than an automated message in response. read more

i take my dog to the petsmart in parma once every other month for grooming and never once had an issue. I took her to the elyria store yesterday, they didn't do half of what i asked and then didn't offer a refund until i asked for it. They said my dog was "mean and tried to bite" i know my dog, she would never do that AND has never done that to the people at parma. So unless they were yelling or hitting her (when i picked her up she was shaking like a leaf) she hasn't eaten since i got her back. Gonna call up the manager today and have a word cause this is hands down the worst experience i've had with this company i've been going to for over 10 years. I took my 7 month old Pomeranian to get groomed. The people were nice. I explained that I did not want to jeopardize his coat as he is still going through his puppy stage. Knowing the Pomeranian coat you should never cut too much off. I expressed I only wanted the ears trimmed along with the potty area and foot pads. Upon returning I was very disheartened to find they cut not only the ears but around most of the head and neck area taking off most of the wispy hairs that are my favorite. I am very disappointed and worried now that it will not grow back. I would strongly caution anyone getting their dog groomed here. read more

I had heard not to take our dog to a big chain store groomer, but we had a coupon so I thought I would try it. We have a standard poodle puppy who is very skiddish and his first experience did not go well. I decided to try a different groomer for one more shot. She was very annoyed at how he behaved during his grooming (he is 3 months old and was terrified) and she informed me he had "jumped" off the table. There is no way my 30lb dog should have been able to get off the table if you were supervising him properly. He could have seriously injured himself or worse. I will NEVER be going back here for grooming. The Store itself is fine, nothing special but until Petco opens up the road it is really the only pet supply store, but we do not buy food or seek any services here, just get what we need and go. read more

Not very happy with customer service at this store. Went in expressly to find a harness for my girlfriends service dog and after finally finding one was surprised to find it in the clearance isle. When we went to double check with the regular isle, found a stack likewise on a marked down peg. At ringing out was told it was full price. When questioned, the manager simply said it was misplaced. When shown how it was also in the clearance isle he simply said it was a mistake as well. After arguing with it he finally gave me 25% discount, which while decent, kinda sucks that I had to argue about their lack of professional stocking ability. I pass a few pet stores on my way to this place. The workers are always nice. Most give a bunch of attention to my dog if they can. My dog also gets groomed at this location. I feel comfortable dropping her off for her hair cut and they usually finish on the early side of the estimated time of completion. I do however wish they were a little more picky with what they will sell on their shelves. I'm just a believer of spoiling your pet with higher quality food/treats. read more

Wow! I have never been to a chain retailer that had such friendly and helpful associates. Jordan and Patrick are amazing! They both went above and beyond to help us. Jordan was extremely knowledgeable on elder cat care. She helped immensely with picking out better food for our cats and dogs and helped to make it affordable too. Patrick was patient with our order and helped us by picking our in store coupons and helping to get items from the back of the store. I rarely post reviews of stores, but the experience at this store was beyond our expectations. We will be returning here for sure! read more

Took my Schnoodle to petsmart on 01/03/2019 for a haircut. They same person cut her hair a few months back and did a pretty good job for as long as it was. When I told the groomer what I wanted this time he did not remember cutting her hair and was told he had nothing to follow so wasn't sure how to cut her. ?? I asked for her to be trimmed up / cut. The 1st time they cut her hair it took 4-1/2 hrs. This time 2 hrs and you couldn't tell it was cut. Paid 75.00 for nothing. I called to complain the following day that I was not happy for what I paid and all they had to say was tell us the next time. I told them there won't be a next time. They could care less. I will not suggest for anyone to take their pets to the Elyria Ohio PetSmart. As others have said, it's all about the money. read more

Took my dog there today after going back to my house to retrieve her shot records, because the idiots there insisted that I NEVER brought my dog there for any services! (I did twice before at this particular location), so that is out and out a bull-faced lie! Then when I went back with her records, the girl started making up her record on their computer, looked up at me with a smirk on her face, and proceeded to tell me that my Vet was not an approved Vet because I did not have a computer-generated print out of her shots!!! REALLY???? When I left the back at the grooming services, I asked an associate to get the store manager for me. Well, who shows up to talk to me??? A smart aleck little kid of about 19 who told me the same crap! I have had the same Vet for the last 10 years, and it was NEVER a problem before. I called PetSmart corporate, who couldn't believe that I was treated that way! I am supposed to get a call back from the General Manager--so we will see. But as it stands, I wouldn't take ANY animal there. I guess I am not the only one who feels the same way, you can tell by the way there isn't any customers there. I think the most I ever saw there when I went there was maybe 1 other person shopping. read more
