We did the package were the dog goes to then for 8 hours x 3 days with a week in between for practice at home. It's really quite impressive the things these guys teach. Now, I'm not saying we didn't have to work hard to get there, it took a lot of practice and we have to continue to practice. But the change is amazing. I actually like having a dog now. Before, with all the biting, that was questionable. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who has an unruly dog. Edit: I'm not sure when I wrote this review originally as it seemed to be saved in the "unfinished reviews" section , but it still stands true over a year after we finished the training.

Your dog can attend as often and whenever you want. While they dont have the fancy web cams for you to watch you still feel secure in leaving your much loved pets with them. You really should stop up and meet Heather and Marlo and check out this facility.

I wanted to know where the dogs stay, how many dogs are there etc. So I called Tina who promptly told me my dog was not a match for her. What? You never met the dog. I asked too many questions and she seemed bothered to answer them. It felt as if she just wanted off the phone. You'd think she would want new business!? I would not recommend a place that doesn't welcome questions and offer to show you the facility. I definitely would not ever let my dog stay at Total K9.

Lindsey helped my dog, Leela, and I work through these issues and addressed some basic obedience issues. Leela made such great progress we ended up adopting my step-daughter's 15 lb chihuahua mix. The dogs get along fine with no signs of aggression and none of this would have been possible if not for Lindsey. Lindsey has extensive experience with all aspects of dogs and she is one of a kind, a true gem. Her experience and knowledge, and personalized training was well worth the expense. I was equally amazed at how thorough their system was for tracking the volunteers, their time, and the interaction each animal rec'd from the volunteers. The regular volunteers all knew the animals, esp the dogs, and seemed to not only care for them, but genuinely invested in their well being. The staff were also amazing. They too knew each animal, its story, its disposition & needs, and also seemed equally invested helping the animals find their "forever homes". I volunteered inconsistently for several months. I knew when it was time to adopt, I'd only adopt from Friendship. Although these animals are in a shelter, they are truly treated w genuine love. Finally its time to adopt our dog. The Friendship APL staff was very helpful. They, along w the volunteers, were so excited our dog had found a "forever home & family". We had to sign a detailed agreement, including a statement that said if we should decide to get rid of our dog, we'd only give him back to Friendship. They are committed to these animals! 36 hours after we got our dog home a volunteer emailed me to see how our dog was doing and to remind us to take him to the vet. I was so impressed and touched. I sent a few pictures of him adjusting to his new home, and the volunteer & I emailed a few times. I wanted to adopt only from Friendship APL bc I knew the dog I'd get, regardless of his previous life's circumstances, would have truly known love before coming to my home, before becoming a part of our family. We've had our guy almost 8 months and its been great. Friendship APL is a phenomenal choice!

My dog is a Springer Spaniel with a high play drive so she spent our 30 minutes playing fetch non-stop with all of the great toys that are provided.
