My Dad took his dog for a grooming at this location and was very unhappy with the overall quality of the job. The hair was uneven and not cut short enough in most places, the whiskers, face and ears were very uneven and her paws were dirty and untrimmed. I emailed for more information about boarding at Total K9 only to receive an email back from Tina stating when I had dates to board my dog let them know. I wanted to know where the dogs stay, how many dogs are there etc. So I called Tina who promptly told me my dog was not a match for her. What? You never met the dog. I asked too many questions and she seemed bothered to answer them. It felt as if she just wanted off the phone. You'd think she would want new business!? I would not recommend a place that doesn't welcome questions and offer to show you the facility. I definitely would not ever let my dog stay at Total K9. read more

I have a small rescue dog who is terrified of groomers. Tina and Shannon were amazing with him. Although my dog was unable to be groomed due to circumstances outside Tina and Shannon's control they made sure he felt comforted and safe. Tina provided me with information on how to make grooming easier. She also made sure we felt valued as customers and was insistent on gaining my dogs trust. I cannot speak to services other than grooming (yet) but we are so pleased with Tina and her grooming we plan on taking Jameson for puppy day camp to get socialized with other pooches. I had a negative grooming experience at a chain groomer and wanted something easier on my pup and easier on me. We had a meet and greet where Jameson (our 4 month old standard poodle) did wonderfully. He even let Tina clean his ears without too much fighting. She keeps grooming cards with helpful information on her pups and is even willing to let me stay for the groomer (which as a paranoid puppy parent is important to me) He seemed so much calmer and more relaxed than he ever has with a groomer and he is NOT a fan of grooming. I look forward to working with Tina through the years and hoping her and Jameson become fast friends. read more

My first experience was fine, but when I went back a second time, the groomer (who was new and afraid to talk to me initially) did not follow my requests for our shih tzus (I specifically asked for short faces and that their duclaws be cut). When we picked up the dogs, both faces were left long. I asked the groomer how they did and she said "fine, but I didnt cut the small ones nails because I was scared". She then told me that someone else cut them. I contacted the owner later that day and complained that my small dog was extremely uneven and I wanted her fixed and both of their faces cut shorter. When I brought them back in, the owner informed me that my small dog was very difficult and trying to bite them so it was difficult to groom her. 1) no groomer has ever had an issue grooming her 2) when I picked her up, the groomer said she was fine 3) the owner said she was not good at grooming faces but she would try. Their faces pretty much looked the same after she fixed them, but I didnt want to send them for a 3rd try. They also did not cut the duclaws as I requested. Will not be going back there. read more
