Take my two dogs in for hair cuts every three months and they do a pretty good job. Some times the cut is a little choppy but I think that sometimes my dogs are giving them a hard time and move around to much. read more

I had my dog groomed for the first time today! We rescued him a month ago from his roaming days in Indio. With concern I dropped my dog Theodore off at pet smart in Costa Mesa where I met Miguel. Theo was a very difficult dog that shows a lot of aggression. I was worried he wouldn't get groomed at all. Miguel was able to shave his body and do his nails. Theo looks great! I completely trusted Miguel with him and he has to be the sweetest groomer whom truly cares about animals. This is coming from someone who worked at a veterinary, grooming and boarding hospital for three years. Miguel is top notch and I couldn't say enough nice things about him. read more

We took our two Standard Poodles into Pet Smart. Melisa, who has a black standard poodle of her own, groomed our Bradley & Chanel, also black standards. They looked amazing. Katie the Manager provided me excellent customer service today! She was knowledgeable, courteous and empathetic as I had to return cat food labeled "Chicken" that had fish proteins in the ingredients, due to my cat being allergic to fish. Surprisingly, several different brands labeled "Turkey" and/or "Chicken" included fish product of some sort. She patiently read many labels to find just the right brands for my kitty! Then she asked if she could help me with anything else, which I've been needing to get snails for my tank. She was just genuinely focussed on my customer satisfaction from the moment I shared my return to when I bought my snails. People like Katie drive customer loyalty and sales! read more

My boyfriend and I signed our puppy up for training class 3 weeks ago. This is a 6 week class that costs $119. We lucked out as our puppy is the only one in the class. Woohoo private lessons! Shana is great with Bailey! In only 3 sessions our puppy is able to sit, walk alongside of us and is learning how to "drop" and "leave it." This class is helpful for owners to teach their dogs structure. She does not believe in yelling at the dog nor getting physical as a result in disobedience. Positive feedback such as praise and treats is her method and it's effective. Bailey LOVES Shana and is always happy to see her on Saturday. The trainer is good about providing food, harness, training pad advice as well. She's been in the business for 8 years and it's evident she knows what she's doing. The class we signed up for is 1 hour every Saturday. Shana will work with you should a make up class be necessary. There is an exam given at the end of the 6 week session and a certificate of completion. I look forward to updating my review once Bailey passes her exam. This training program is highly recommended. We've seen results in our puppy in a short time span and are pleased. read more

Normally I really like this petsmart because I get my dog food from here and it's reasonably priced, and the staff are always friendly and very helpful. Today I decided to take my dog here to have a gland expression and a bath. I was expecting her to come home happy and healthy but upon returning home, I noticed my dog had a rash under her tail that definitely wasn't there before her trip to the groomers and that some of her fur was cut. The groomers cut her fur (which I didn't ask for) far too close and ended up harming my dog. I have heard horror stories about grooming from places like petsmart, and while my dog didn't end up as bad as some of the others, I definitely will be taking her to professional, licensed groomers in the future. I am very disappointed in this petsmart. I thought their services would be as good as their products but I have been proven wrong. Fair warning to all pet owners who take their beloved pets here for grooming. I hope your dog or cat end up better than my poor dog did. read more

I have to leave at 7 to be at work on time so when I scheduled the appointment they said drop off started at 7 and I specifically asked if someone would be there right at 7 so I could leave right after and she said yes. The next morning no one showed up until 7:10. When I picked her up later which to be honest was a long day of her being there because she needed to be groomed so badly and I have to work so I had to keep her there all day while I was at work, they had not let her out to use the bathroom for 9 hours! I understand that may not be part of the grooming service but then don't let me leave her there that long in the first place if you aren't going to at least let her relieve herself once during that long period of time. I know that she wasnt taken out because she never makes mistakes and she pooed and peeing four different times in the ten minutes it took me to walk to the front of the store and check out. read more

I have taken two of my dogs to be groomed at Petsmart. Both of the cuts were not very professional. But my biggest gripe is the wait time. I had an appt at 8:00 am and my dog was not done until after 3:00 pm. This has happened numerous times. It is not acceptable. read more

I took my little white dog here for grooming and they were very nice and friendly to him. His haircut looked a little funny, he is a puppy and somehow they made him look like an old senior dog. However, the staff was nice and you really can't beat the price ($13 for a puppy trim, $40ish for adult dogs) so I might come back. Next time I will definitely bring a picture of how i want him to look and give them much less leeway on the cut though! read more

Jordan and Marissa were very patient with helping my mom and I pick out the correct halter for my dog and very graciously accepted our multiple returns of chewed up halters. Alex is amazing! Our dogs aren't the easiest to handle when getting baths, but he is so patient with them. One of them has arthritis, and she always comes out prancing. It is adorable to see how great she feels after a day of pampering with Alex. I would recommend him to anyone, especially if you are nervous about who your dog goes to!! read more

Alex did an amazing job on our cute but feisty Maltese! We had been having difficulties having our dog groomed as he hates having any grooming done around his face but Alex worked his dog whisper skills with him he came out looking and smelling fantastic! My husband and I were in here a few days ago and it was just an overall terrible experience. We were mainly interested in getting some sort of small fish or reptile since we live in an apartment. We figured this would be an easy endeavor right? Wrong! Where to begin. We spent about ten minutes looking around at all of the fish and reptiles. The girl working in the section completely ignored us but that was fine since we didn't want to be rushed. However, once we decided on a fish that looked interesting we went up to her to ask some questions and she couldn't have been more rude! She first told us to 'give her a minute' in a very harsh voice because she was busy doing 'something'. We politely obliged but after a few more minutes of seeing her slowly stacking something we again asked her for some help. She sighed about as loud as I've ever heard someone sigh and quickly told us some things about the fish but then started to say that it would be better to get a bearded dragon?? She kept badgering us to get some type of lizard or bearded dragon; it seems as if employees get prizes for selling them or something because she was really pushing us for it. When we finally convinced her to get us the fish she told us it would be another few minutes because she 'wasn't supposed to be in the section anyways'. I figured things would improve once we got to the cashier but nope. This new employee didn't seem to notice that the thing we were buying was a live fish and couldn't be stuffed into the bag. She then tried to give us the wrong change and didn't apologize when we showed her the mistake. Needless to say my husband and I will not be coming back here anytime soon! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I am a very loyal patron of PetSmart. Both my dogs have Wellness Plans through Banfield and attend the Doggie Day Camp 3x a week. I have never been to this location and after my experience will never be returning. Just rescued a 14 week old Maltese and was returning home with him and thought I'd stop to get help with feeding and harness suggestions as I have a chihuahua and beagle. I walked around the store for a good 20 minutes trying to get help and NO ONE would even talk to me and instead I got eye rolls and 2 of the workers were talking very rudely about me having a "purse dog". Here I just rescued this baby that was about to be put down and they were caught up on his size rather than helping me. I approached a lady with short blue/purple hair and she completely turned and walked the other way. Then it turns out she was the one ringing up my purchase and she ignored me and talked to the woman in line behind me the entire time. Worst experience ever at a PetSmart and I'm very disappointed. Would rate 0 stars if I could. read more

One is the stricker woman but there is a younger woman as well. I don't have my dogs groomed here so I cant say much about them, but I love shopping here with my dogs :) read more

I just wanted to give a shout out to the washer Sierra who washed my dog! She was very sweet, professional and knowledgeable. I have had bad experiences with other places and my dog is like my child so I only want the best care for him. When she came up to get my little fur baby you could just tell that she was a animal love!r I felt so comfortable leaving him :) When I came to pick him back up he looked great and was wagging his tail soooo happy! I would never get my dog groomed here ever again or recommend them to anyone. I brought my dog into petsmart because I had been going to petsmart since my dog was a puppy (10 years). I had never had an issue before. I requested a 2-3 inch shave around his entire body and to have his undercoat taken out and ears cleaned etc... standard grooming. When my girlfriend went to pick him up, he was crying in the Kennel and ran out traumatized. When I came home from work, I noticed him scratching his ear and under his arms and biting and licking his groin area. Not only did they cut him unevenly, but they actually went as far to cutting my dog with the razor under his arm pits and his groin area. There was dried blood and razor marks all over him. I woke up the next day and he had an ear infection (was not having any issues prior to being at the groomer). I called them back and they actually had the nerve to tell me that my dog didnt respond to the grooming well and they were not willing to allow him into their kennels ever again. They said this about a dog who has never bit anyone, or another dog, and had never had an issue with a single groomer prior to this incident. I demanded to speak to the manager, I brought him back to the petsmart and showed her the ear infection and the cuts under his arms and near his groin. She immediately gave me a refund and apologized over and over. Either way, never again... refund or not. they actually had the nerve to butcher my dog, cut him with razors, give him an ear infection... and then tell me that if I brought him in again... it would have to be an "express cut"... I had to take him to the vet, get him antibiotic for his ear and to help the cuts heal... they actually tried to get me to go to the vet in the store rather than the one that I had been using. I really cannot believe people in this hospital earn their living by scamming others! I really hope they close down and please nobody go there unless you know exactly what they will try to charge you with. I am seriously annoyed and angry at them and will never recommend them to anyone. They are just hungry for money that they are willing to take the money without a sense of morality. I cannot express how disappointed I am. My yorkie puppy had not been eating for about a week, so we took her to the Bainfield Hospital. Everything was doing well at first and we were happy that the consultation for new users was free. Now when we were shown what my dog was going to need they told us that she needed a pancreas test and gingivitis test and some vaccinations and that the total was going to be $197. Now this is where it gets messed up. When we were filling out the form it asked in case of an emergency how much money can you provide for your dog and my mother put $200. See what happened there. My mother paid for this because we did not know anything about this and we were really worried for my dog. The thing is that my puppy was not dying, she was happy and moving all around. All we wanted was for her to eat again. It is really sad that this happened because they took advantage of our naivety and the worst is that we needed that money for college expenses. They really did not do anything about the expensive tests. If i could i would give it 0 stars because it was seriously a rip off. read more
