The worst haircut my dog has ever had. $110 later, no rhyme or reason as to why it couldn't be fixed.

After three 3 grooming sessions at this Petsmart location my dog toby has not been the same The first time I took my pet here he was more than thrilled to go in the grooming salon but after the third appointment I've noticed that his behavior completely changed. He now cries and shakes when I take him which is absolutely concerning to me. Also, on 03/01/2022 I took him for a bath and full body haircut and his groomers name was Meredith. Although she was very sweet, I explained how I did not want my dog to be completely shaved due to a bad experience we had at another Petsmart location in Charlotte. She completely understood and she told me she would do anything possible to leave hair on his body. After 5 hours toby was finally done..... I go in the grooming area and my dog Toby is completely shaved.... I was very angry at the facts he still got shaved after I told Meredith not to shave him. His haircut was horrible, the hair on top of his head is totally in even and so are his ears... Lastly, what made me more furious was that his neck had blood due to the shave. It's been 2 days and it's slowly healing. I will never go to this Petsmart to get my dog groomed ever again!!

10 yrs of Petsmart loyalty down the drain! I booked a "Face, Feet & Fanny" groom for my 2 dogs online and the price online stated 25.99. When I arrived at the groomer I told her what I wanted... When I picked them up they looked "okay", but I was charged for full service groom of $41.00 per pup (typically I pay ~$49.00 for the full service cut). I told the groomer that I thought the touch-up cut is only $25.99. She told me that the prices had recently been raised and she didn't know what the new price was, that she only keys the service into the system and whatever the price is, it is. I informed her of what the price stated online and she suggested I speak to the manager to see if a price adjustment could be made. Well his idea of a price adjustment was a single $10 off coupon, claiming that he could not do anything about the prices and said, "I hope this helps". USELESS! Affordability was not the issue. The issue is that I may as well have paid $8 more for the full body cut. $41.00 for a touch-up cut is ridiculous. He asked me check my confirmation email and sure enough somehow the confirmation had changed over to state "full service cut". Regardless, the groomer did not cut any hair off of my dogs body, only did a touch-up cut! When I got them into the car I'll be damned that my puppy still had a piece of something (food, I dunno) caked in her fur near her mouth as she had when I dropped her off. Also my senior dog's cut under her chin was very uneven (see pic). The mediocre-ness of the cut is not the issue, because Petsmart is hit or miss with their groomers. The issue is this: DEAR PETSMART, STOP CHARGING DOGGIE-SPA PRICES FOR MEDIOCRE CUTS. AN $8 PRICE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TOUCH-UP AND FULL-BODY/FULL-SERVICE CUT IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!! There is only 1 rockstar groomer at this location (Megan, the only reason they even get 2 star rating, although she deserves more) as far as I am concerned and she wasn't in tonight, so my mistake I guess for settling... I should have followed my 1st instinct and cancelled when the odor of the groomer's cigarettes got to me before she did! Funny thing is I actually selected a touch-up cut due to the fact that my regular groomer was not available and I reeeeally needed them touched up today. I am seriously considering seeking a private groomer because it's sad that when my regular groomer at a particular location is out that I have to deal with hit-or-miss service at a ridiculous price. Currently online pricing states: BATH $26.99, Groom $49.00, where does $41.00 for a touch-up come in??? I abandoned PetSmart's so-called PetsHotels long ago, but that's a whole different chapter...

The trainer here, Sharon, is amazing. She has been at this location for years now and she has trained two of my dogs. Not only does she train but she is very knowlegeable on pet nutrition and other needs. She has helped a variety of dogs ranging from stubborn to terrified to rescued from abuse situations. There are several dogs in this area that have gone through her classes and continued into therapy class that are now helping at hospitals and nursing homes. Sharon actually teaches the other petsmart trainers. I would highly reccomend this store for training.

Needed to get my dog groomed and called Sunday morning to see if they could fit him in and luckily they had one spot available. I have a 12 week old maltipoo that has never been groomed before. Petsmart grooming was excellent! Dropped him off then picked him up about 2 hours later and he was all trimmed up, brushed out, nails trimmed, and smelled amazing. I will definitely be back next month!

After he was groomed by Karen and I requested a Teddy Bear Cut

To think where we would be without Liz at Carolina Canine Training is scary! Like everyone else we…read moregot a puppy and thought we could manage with the training ourselves with just a typical puppy class. You know the story.... Life got in the way and our efforts were just not making the cut.... it was time to turn to a Professional! Thinking about leaving our "baby" in the care of someone else for 4 whole weeks was a bit scary at first! As soon as Banks met Liz and seemed to just melt around her all of our fears were quickly gone! Liz has the presence where dogs just know to respect her :) 4 weeks later Banks was walking on a leash well enough for a toddler to walk him, had learned how to "Place" on his bed and went into his Kennel with ease. He no longer jumped all over us and had a sense of calm about him we had never seen before. I only wish I would have taken a Before video as the changes were that remarkable. Banks is a very smart dog but we were very amazed at the things he was able to master in his 4 weeks at Carolina Canine Training. I can't recommend this team enough and am so thankful we have a place to send our next puppy!! I wonder if they take kids too? ;) Oh, and we loved all of the updates we received via email, text and phone. I'm pretty sure the hardest part of dog training might be dealing with the parents!

Ashe at 6 months of age can be a bit of a handful , but Lindsey took the time to understand his behavior and tailored the training to his needs. After just two weeks, we noticed Ashe's confidence soar. Ashe is now much better behaved at the park, and he's responding wonderfully to commands like "sit," "place," "heel," and "come." This is the second dog I put through Off Leash K9 Training, and they truly help build trust between you and your pup. It allows you to take your pup into the world and enjoy life rather than sitting at home alone. I also love how Lindsey emphasizes the importance of consistency and makes sure we're practicing the right way at home. I feel so much more confident as a dog owner, and Ashe seems happier too! I highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training of Charlotte to anyone looking to strengthen the bond with their dog and improve both their quality of life and behavior!

At pick up, she did a great job explaining everything to us, guiding us on how to follow through at home, and loving on Shadow one last time. You could tell he was sad to leave her. Claire was so encouraging and loving towards him. Shadow's been home less than a week and because of Claire, he is behaving so much better. He's been able to off leash and not jump on people he's greeting. Thank you so much Claire and Off Leash K9 Charlotte!

We missed him like crazy and worried about how he was feeling. Dennis actually had us come in halfway through, showed us what Carson had been learning, and said something that I keep thinking about: Carson wasn't missing us. Not because he doesn't love us, but because dogs live in the now. He was busy, focused, doing his thing. We felt so much better after that. Carson came home happy and calm and confident. He understood the rules and felt good about it. And he wasn't (as our son put it) a "bot" now - he was the same sweet and goofy pup but now, he could follow instructions and maintain self control when we needed him to. The staff were also straight with us about the fact that he'd have setbacks. That's normal. They spent a lot of time explaining what you do when it happens. In fact, they spent almost an entire day with all the families at graduation - going over what the dogs learned, getting you hands on practicing how to do it, answering questions, and really teaching a ton of helpful information. We're about to set up our in-home training visit, which will be for all of us, including our three kids - really great to get everyone aligned with Carson's training. The Dog Knowledge is fantastic! We are members now and plan to board our dog with them whenever we go on vacation. I cannot imagine trusting any place like we trust them.

Your staff, by far, was underwhelming and I felt so sorry for the dogs who looked like they were craving attention and love from your handlers. I did not see any offered, except by one person who gave attention to a small dog who was with the little dog group. I actually saw the opposite with handlers removing dogs from their laps and holding their arms away from dogs who only wanted affection. I saw dogs being sprayed with water bottles from behind, I saw a dog being sprayed just because he came close to a handler to get attention. I saw handlers basically just sitting and I saw dogs sitting. I saw a black dog being bullied, rolled, and pinned as the staff did nothing. One staff member walked by the poor black dog being pinned and just looked straight ahead. I consider this to be negligence. I personally thought this dog was too small to be with large dogs. (I hope the owner of this dog was watching on the webcam). I saw no engagement by staff, and it was just so sad because the dogs clearly wanted physical petting. I saw handlers on their phones, and they flat out looked like they'd rather be anywhere other than with dogs. I saw many of the dogs standing or sitting because the handlers were sitting or walking around in circles picking up dog feces.. We go to a different doggy daycare regularly where the handlers run, and play and engage the dogs and the dogs run and play and they're happy. Maybe consider modeling after them? The only reason we came here was because our regular place gets very popular in the summer. These dogs did not look happy. This place seems to take unlimited number of dogs. I couldn't believe the number of dogs I saw in one group. Insane! We didn't come get our dog sooner from your facility because we were working. I do believe these dogs deserve better attention from handlers based on what their owner's pay for quality care. These handlers from what I could clearly see on the webcams (in every play yard) acted like the dogs were an annoyance to most of the time. Take your dog elsewhere. I took pictures for further reminder to us to not return.
