Guinea pig with ringworm

I've been a Guinea pig parent for over 6 years and have never encountered ringworm until I brought a Guinea pig from this location. I previously had two guineas, one died of cancer and I thought it would be a good idea for my other Guinea to have a companion. I put freshly washed linen in their cage and let them meet. After two day of having her I noticed a rash near her eye and did research and separated her from my other Guinea. I brought her back into the store and they confirmed, treated her ringworm and gave me a refund. They said they would call back after she's treated but never did. 2/3 weeks have gone by and now my other Guinea has ringworm that she did not have before. I called and spoke to the unhelpful manager, Oliver who said there is nothing they can do. An associate told me they check their animals for infections before customers buy them but that's a complete lie. (In addition to the ringworm her stool was loose which means something is wrong internally or she's eating too many veggies. Petsmart doesn't feed them veggies and she wouldn't eat the carrot I was trying to give her) I advise everyone to stop buying Guinea pigs from here, not only because of my experience but because of the poor living conditions they put them in. If you've ever smelled the inside of their cage, you would know exactly what I'm talking about.

My wife texted me a picture of what she wanted me to get with the message "No deviation." I had good expectations that they'd have what we wanted for our girls, but I left PetSmart disappointed. A certain type of Milkbone. They had other varieties and different flavors but not this specific one. And as much as I wanted to get something, I ended up leaving empty-handed. (It turns out that Harris Teeter had them!) [Review 10884 overall, 655 of 2019.]

16 wo poochon after grooming

Took 16 wo poochon for first grooming.... They were very patient with her and did a great job! Since she's white, has to be groomed/bathed often.. They took very good card of my baby!!

I know, I know...I said I wasn't going to deal with another Petsmart, but alas, I entered into this one today. I am still on the hunt for a new leash for Milo (I'm so picky!) & since I was in the area, I came into this particular one, across from Northlake Mall. Upon entering, I was cheerfully greeted by an employee. The store layout is really nice, the lighting is bright, & the store itself was clean (& smelled clean). I was very pleased to see that several choices of leashes offered a nice discount with a Pets Perk card (Petsmart's rewards program). However, I was a bit disappointed to see many of the packages were damaged and opened. This location offers the grooming salon, as well as the Banfield Veterinary service.

Bottom of the beta cups

Walking in to get plants for a fish tank and they have a good variety of everything as well as very nice and welcoming workers. The betta fish were obviously not taken care of, there was mold and algae growing at the bottom of the cups they were in. One of the fish moved to the back of the shelf was dead and mold growing all over it. Would not recommend this location.

I am very please with the service I received at the grooming salon. My dog looks great! The groomer did exactly what I asked them to do. I will be a returning customer.

We just finished a four-week board and train with Carson at The Dog Knowledge. Worth every penny!…read more Not going to lie - the first couple weeks were rough on us, not him. We missed him like crazy and worried about how he was feeling. Dennis actually had us come in halfway through, showed us what Carson had been learning, and said something that I keep thinking about: Carson wasn't missing us. Not because he doesn't love us, but because dogs live in the now. He was busy, focused, doing his thing. We felt so much better after that. Carson came home happy and calm and confident. He understood the rules and felt good about it. And he wasn't (as our son put it) a "bot" now - he was the same sweet and goofy pup but now, he could follow instructions and maintain self control when we needed him to. The staff were also straight with us about the fact that he'd have setbacks. That's normal. They spent a lot of time explaining what you do when it happens. In fact, they spent almost an entire day with all the families at graduation - going over what the dogs learned, getting you hands on practicing how to do it, answering questions, and really teaching a ton of helpful information. We're about to set up our in-home training visit, which will be for all of us, including our three kids - really great to get everyone aligned with Carson's training. The Dog Knowledge is fantastic! We are members now and plan to board our dog with them whenever we go on vacation. I cannot imagine trusting any place like we trust them.

To think where we would be without Liz at Carolina Canine Training is scary! Like everyone else we…read moregot a puppy and thought we could manage with the training ourselves with just a typical puppy class. You know the story.... Life got in the way and our efforts were just not making the cut.... it was time to turn to a Professional! Thinking about leaving our "baby" in the care of someone else for 4 whole weeks was a bit scary at first! As soon as Banks met Liz and seemed to just melt around her all of our fears were quickly gone! Liz has the presence where dogs just know to respect her :) 4 weeks later Banks was walking on a leash well enough for a toddler to walk him, had learned how to "Place" on his bed and went into his Kennel with ease. He no longer jumped all over us and had a sense of calm about him we had never seen before. I only wish I would have taken a Before video as the changes were that remarkable. Banks is a very smart dog but we were very amazed at the things he was able to master in his 4 weeks at Carolina Canine Training. I can't recommend this team enough and am so thankful we have a place to send our next puppy!! I wonder if they take kids too? ;) Oh, and we loved all of the updates we received via email, text and phone. I'm pretty sure the hardest part of dog training might be dealing with the parents!

We found ourselves in quite the predicament, as he was too young to board at a kennel. We reached out to Doris and she made a special exception to accept him into her board and train program when he was only 10 weeks old... When she dropped him off after the program was complete, we had an 11.5 week old puppy housebroken and sleeping through the night with no crate accidents. What surprised me the most is that he patiently waits for you to open his crate and invite him out, he waits for you to invite him to go through the front the door and also waits in his "place" while you get his food ready. In addition to being such a patient sweet boy, he also knows how to sit, lay down, roll over, shake, spin right, spin left, leave-it, play hide and seek, and stay!! She also introduced him to swimming in her swimming pool and socialized him with multiple safe dogs and people. She was very responsive, professional and kept us posted daily on his progress and adventures. We felt at ease knowing he was in such a loving home. This is truly her passion and it shows through the wonderful work she did with sweet Chewy. We LOVE Doris and can't recommend her enough!
