He never plays with toys and he's obsessed so I'm going back to buy them all. Sorry not sorry

They have the best $2 toys for cats. People are always nice when I go in and it actually smells nice in there too, not like pee and stinky. We thank you for the awesome toys!

I would 100% NOT recommend this location. After a message on the Neighbor Next Door app reporting abuse at the grooming salon and my own terrible experience I won't be back. The grooming salon had to cancel my pups appt because the groomer was out sick. No one had the decency to call me to tell me about the cancellation or to reschedule. I found out by checking my emails when trying to confirm the appointment times. Upon calling to reschedule I was booked almost three weeks later. At arrival I was told my dogs were too matted and they couldn't groom them. That they should go to their vet to be groomed. I immediately called my vet to schedule and they told be it was ridiculous for them to turn my pups away. We had to wait another week and their vet had no issues grooming them. Another visit I was talked down to by the older lady who works in the fish/aquarium area. She spoke to me as if I had no knowledge of fish and was stupid. I say go to this location at your own risk and the risk of your pets but I know I won't visit again. Petsmart 14137 Rivergate Pkwy Charlotte, NC 28273 (Review 573 overall, 117 in 2021)

Please, dear lord, DO NOT take your fur babies to this location. My Shih Tzu is normally groomed in Charleston however, I was visiting my daughter and decided to book at the Rivergate location because my original choice store did not have availability. Let's start with the groomer coming in late. I stood there as he lackadaisically walked in with no introduction or apology for his lateness. Red flag number one! Received a call for pick up, when I arrived "Kim" quickly approached me stating there would be no charge for services today because my baby's ear was "nicked" with the clippers. When she retrieved him from the back, he looked HORRIBLE!! The cut on his ear was of course red with a snip of ear missing and blood stains still on his ear. The groomer cut off ALL his hair...even his fluffy tail, leaving him pink and sore!! I asked Kim had they applied anything to his cut, she replied Neosporin. No apologies, no care recommendations, just a blank stare and side eye from the incompetent groomer. I cried, this was a shocking and painful experience. I included before and after photos. The groomer should get charged with causing bodily harm to an animal. Save yourself and your fur baby some heartache - go elsewhere.

Walmart meets pets supplies, Petsmart is the big box store that carries everything you need for your furry, feathered or scaled little one. All neatly organized with prices displayed clearly. Cat food, dog food, cat treats, dog treats, leashes, litter boxes, water fountains, aquariums and aquarium supplies. It's all here. Petsmart will let you bring your leashed dog into the store with you and they have cleanup supplies in case Fido couldn't hold it until he is outside. If you do decide to bring your dog inside, please don't let him scare the cats that are out for adoption. That's just not right.

Omg they gave him a Bow!!!

When we adopted Penny, we knew we wanted to start her off on the right foot, and Mariah was an obvious choice in the area. She has supported us with everything from potty and crate training to advanced manners, both at home and in public. Penny was a little shy at first, and Mariah's encouragement helped both her and us grow in confidence. Throughout the process, Mariah has helped us train Penny completely force/fear free, and has involved the whole family, even working directly with our 3- and 7-year-olds on occasion. She has tailored an approach that is unique to our needs, always listening to what is going well, and where we need additional support. Most importantly, Mariah has been super supportive of my husband and I as first-time puppy parents, but veteran dog owners. We have some hang ups from our first rescue, who we loved deeply, but didn't have the time or resources to train and support in the way we wanted to. Mariah has been patient as we've asked all the questions, an encouraged us every step of the way. We've had such a great experience with Mariah that we decided to extend our initial training sessions. We thought at first that we just wanted to get Penny's manners to a "good enough" place, but when we saw what's possible with Mariah's support, we were encouraged to raise our expectations, and are now on our way to have a dog that can be a constant companion for our family, at home, and in public!

Ashe at 6 months of age can be a bit of a handful , but Lindsey took the time to understand his behavior and tailored the training to his needs. After just two weeks, we noticed Ashe's confidence soar. Ashe is now much better behaved at the park, and he's responding wonderfully to commands like "sit," "place," "heel," and "come." This is the second dog I put through Off Leash K9 Training, and they truly help build trust between you and your pup. It allows you to take your pup into the world and enjoy life rather than sitting at home alone. I also love how Lindsey emphasizes the importance of consistency and makes sure we're practicing the right way at home. I feel so much more confident as a dog owner, and Ashe seems happier too! I highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training of Charlotte to anyone looking to strengthen the bond with their dog and improve both their quality of life and behavior!

At pick up, she did a great job explaining everything to us, guiding us on how to follow through at home, and loving on Shadow one last time. You could tell he was sad to leave her. Claire was so encouraging and loving towards him. Shadow's been home less than a week and because of Claire, he is behaving so much better. He's been able to off leash and not jump on people he's greeting. Thank you so much Claire and Off Leash K9 Charlotte!

He never rushed Fisher (or me) or expected too much too soon. Instead, he focused on helping him feel safe and building his confidence at his own pace. What really stood out to me is Patrick's genuine interest in helping shelter dogs. He understands the unique challenges these dogs can face and truly cares about giving them (and their foster parents/owners) the tools and confidence they need to succeed. Thanks to Patrick, I feel much better equipped to help Fisher, and I've already seen positive changes in him. I'm incredibly grateful for his knowledge and expertise! One of the things we appreciate most is how Patrick tailors his approach to fit our household and lifestyle, making it realistic for us to stay consistent. And this place deserves the praise! We'd previously taken our dog to one of the many other boarding facilities in this area and always been disappointed in the fact that (1) he wouldn't get any exercise because he's not the kind of dog to play with other dogs, he's the kind of dog who wants to walk with humans and (2) he'd always come home smelling HORRIBLE, even if the other boarding places had claimed to have bathed him. Then we found Laurel Oak, and we haven't looked back! We love that our pup gets two walks a day here, plus hours and hours of supervised play time. We love the Facebook posts showing that he's doing okay and "making friends". ;) And we love that when they say he is getting a bath, we can actually tell that he got a bath! This place is not really convenient to our home at all, but we keep going there again and again because we are so happy with the service and attention our dog gets. That alone is a testament to how great this place is.

She said they no longer use them after they had an incident regarding one, but they allow owners to bring their dogs in already wearing them. I asked about the wording of the waiver owners are required to sign, specifically asking if it had been revised so that it no longer required owners to legally consent to allowing the company to put bark collars on their dogs. She was evasive, stating she hadn't looked at the contract lately, wasn't sure if it had been revised, it was not going to be revised for the next few weeks at least, etc. I said, "Well, if you're not going to put bark collars on the dogs, then there is absolutely no reason why the company would need to keep that part in the contract, right?" She had no answer for that, other than saying "It's for owners who bring their dogs in with the bark collar already on, but we do not provide them." I said, "Well, how is it worded? Does it talk about the owner providing the bark collar, or does it require the owner to give consent for the company to put a bark collar on? Those are two very different things." She could not - or would not - answer that question. I asked her to get a copy of the contract, look at it, and read me the relevant part so we could just get clear on what the waiver actually stated. She said it was available online, but only after I signed up and signed in as a client and gave them all my information. I said, "You can't take 2 minutes to just read me the relevant part without making me go through all that?" She could not. She was busy; she had better things to do than provide minimal customer service on an important issue. Clearly, she had something to hide. My guess is that at this time the contract has not been revised and it still requires owners to legally consent to the company putting bark collars on their dogs. I'm not okay with that. I canceled my appointment. They didn't want my business enough to bother answering a simple yet important question, and I don't want to give my business to a company who requires owners to legally consent to authorizing the company to do what I view as torturing dogs, and tries to hide what they're doing. If you want humane, compassionate care for your furbaby with an above-board, honest and trustworthy company, look elsewhere. There are lots of better options.
