They did an amazing job with my mini golden doodle Fenway!! Will be back every month!

Great place to purchase food, toys, etc for your pets but do not come here for grooming. I took my Pomeranian in to get a normal bath and cut and when we picked her up she was extremely anxious and vomiting. Her haircut was also choppy and uneven. when we reached out to express our concerns with the experience, they offered to have us bring her in the next day to have it fixed. As soon as we stepped foot into the grooming area she immediately started panicking and wanting to leave which is very unusual behavior for a dog that is always excited to go new places and meet people. I have no idea what happened to her prior to us bringing her back to have her cut fixed but I have lost all trust in them to take care of my pups.

This PetSmart on Folly Road in James Island is one of my favorite pet stores in the Charleston area. They have just about all of the pet supplies that you could ever need in one place. Everything is well organized here and the store is layed out with specific sections that are well labeled and it easy to find exactly what you are looking for. The store is always clean and well maintained which is impressive considering all of the pet traffic through here on a given day. They have really good prices and value and will also do a price match guarantee if you find an item at a lower price elsewhere which is a really good deal. The staff here is very friendly and will go out of their way to make sure that you find everything that you need. Overall this is a great pet store.

Holy moly! Here to buy cat food and to visit the kitties up for adoption.. no kitties today! So keeping myself amused by looking at all the collars, chokers and harnesses! These pets dress better than I do!!

Kayla has done a really great job trimming and grinding my frenchies nails. He can be a drama king and she's a pro.

Tabitha (the groomer) achieved the until-now impossible: my cocker spaniel looks beautifully groomed but not overly groomed.

We're so impressed by their facility, professionalism, and especially their kind and capable staff. Our small rescue pup has boarded there several times, and she really enjoys it. I love how she gets to play with other small dogs, indoors and out; we appreciate them having separate areas for large and small dogs. They take excellent care of her, even giving her a nice bath on the last morning. Just picked her up after a stay, and she looked happy, fit, and ready for a nice nap. Highly recommend K9 Resorts for taking care of your precious pup.

I'm very disappointed with our recent experience at K9 Pet Resort…read more My dog developed cherry eye while at daycare, and no one contacted me to inform me that there was a medical issue. I only discovered it myself after picking her up. When you leave your pet in the care of a facility, you expect close supervision and immediate communication if something is wrong. Cherry eye is not something minor, it's a visible eye condition that requires attention, especially for breeds that are already prone to eye problems. The most concerning part of this situation was the lack of notification. As a pet owner, I should have been informed right away so I could make decisions about her care. Daycare staff are responsible for monitoring the dogs and reporting injuries or health concerns when they happen. That communication did not occur, and that breaks trust. I hope the facility improves its health monitoring and owner communication procedures, so this does not happen to another dog.

While our dogs were there, we got no communication or indication of anything. When my boyfriend picked our pups up, he felt extremely rushed because of the line and didn't get to talk long to anyone about their stay. I ended up calling myself and literally had to "prod" for answers about how everything went. Only got "they did well" and no details of anything. I know no news is good news, but I could've used a little more detail instead of one word answers and me being the only one talking. The icing on the cake was when our dogs came home, the one who was w other dogs got EXTREMELY sick and the other who was in private play caught the bug 24 hours later from the first. We know anxiety poops after change of scenery/boarding/etc. this was NOT that and our vet needed to prescribe antibiotics because it continued to last into a week and wasn't getting any better. Not saying the bug is anyones fault, but it's the last straw I needed to never go back. Thanks but no thanks!
