I'm a business person, it takes a lot for me to go on Google and place a negative one star rating for any business because I know how difficult it is to operate any business, as a matter of fact this is the only time I have ever done this. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had an appointment for my dog at this establishment, not my first one.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was away on a business trip, my wife brought our dog for a complete grooming and bath for our Australian Terrier Poodle mix Annie. The appointment was for noon and the pickup time was between 2-3PM. My wife showed up to pick up Annie a little early sometime around 2:30PM and walked in while she was still being groomed. Sarah the owner/groomer was about halfway through grooming Annie, she was not happy that my wife showed up a little early, instead of saying, please come back in thirty minutes or longer, she stopped grooming Annie (she was barely half done!) and told my wife she could not continue grooming her because Annie was too excited about seeing my wife at the door (all the grooming is completed in the front of the studio) my wife asked her to complete the grooming, she refused and she did NOT offer to finish the grooming another day, she wanted my wife to pay for the full grooming, and she did, which I am also unhappy about! Annie looks horrible she literally is barely half groomed with the hind legs completed and up to halfway to her middle, the rest of her is about full length. Today I found another groomer to complete the grooming for Annie. I found this behaviour by Sarah extremely unprofessional for a business owner toward a customer who has been coming in for the grooming service she provides for a couple of years, this is really unprofessional behavior period, even if I was a first time client. For this reason I cannot recommend this establishment for dog grooming services again, this type of behavior toward established customers, or any customer, shows that this business does not appreciate their customers, maybe because she has a lot of them and is not worried about losing a few here and there, book an appointment at your own risk here. read more

Service is great. Pricing is inconsistent and Paid nearly 2x as what I was told when I left the door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ladies are nice and will treat whatever you bring in with love & care[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]; price was pretty disappointing and even the cashier at the moment seemed shocked at the price for my 15 pound mini bernadoodle. She did have matts but I made that more than clear in the phone call and in person and was still quoted about 75 dollars and when I go to pay a voice from the back says $125. I drove 40 minutes out of the way and waited 3 hours so of course that makes it just a little more annoying. That being said I wanted to reiterate that they do a good job and will take great care of your pup. read more

I cannot recommend Barks N' Bubbles more! My weimaraner is quite the handful when anyone attempts to cut or trim her nails. At the vet, the technicians have given up every single time I've taken her in and has sent her home multiple times because "she wouldn't let them cut more", and told me to come back a few days later to finish the job. She doesn't bite and is sweet as could be but she is very strong and has quite long legs! I saw some great reviews here about being able to cut other anxious pups nails, so I made an appointment and hoped they would be successful with my pup. HUGE SUCCESS! All four paws were trimmed in no more than 7 minutes! And they use the Dremel instead of clippers, so no sharp edges or trauma! Wow. I was so floored I teared up and got choked up! Even after the manicure, my pup was friendly and sweet with the ladies, and was rewarded with some yummy treats they keep on hand! They were so supportive of my dogs anxiety and I watched them shower her in love and sweetness the whole time even though she was unhappy. They let me stay in the room with her and even let me come also help console my pup while they were doing the front paws. The best part, they said it was NOT abnormal for dogs to hate this process, to be scared or anxious, and were incredibly supportive of me. In the past, vets and vet techs have made me feel awful, like I was the worst mom, shamed me for her long nails or for their inability to cut them. Everyone who knows me, knows I don't love ANYTHING as much as I love my dog. I could not be happier and can't wait to see them in 4 weeks for another puppy manicure! Could not be more thrilled. It was my first time getting my dog groomed. I decided Barks n Bubbles based on their great reviews, they definitely lived up to them! My Aussie has very bad anxiety, he doesn't even let the vet tech trim his nails.. and that's with his calming medication and a cheese bribe! The groomer was very nice and friendly, you can tell she's passionate about what she does. My dog doesn't trust most and he let her do an amazing job, I highly recommend them! I was nervous about getting a short cut but it came so out perfect and better than I could imagine. Can't wait to bring my other dog, he doesn't even need a trim but I'm so impressed I'll come for their other services. I know Huxley will be excited to come back! read more

I could not ask for more in a dog groomer. The team over at Barks and Bubbles are awesome! I have two energetic Brittanys, and they can be quite a handful. Abby and Sarah not only can handle them, they seem to love them! My dogs go crazy when they arrive and they seem to really enjoy being there. They always do a great job and are super affordable - $20 each for wash and nail trimming. (My dogs weigh around 45 lbs each, I think it's more for bigger dogs) They have a nice little shop and add lots of personal little touches like giving the dogs little ribbons if they behave! Always do a great job with my two dogs. One has hair had needs cut, the other has fur and just needs bathed and brushed. I go about once every 3-4 months and the cut holds well. My dogs are always very happy and treated well. The staff works with my for my unusual work schedule which is very helpful for me. They also take pictures and post them in Instagram, which I greatly appreciate! The prices are very affordable as well. read more

The ladies here are super nice, and good at what they do. You can tell they really love dogs, and they're so excited to see each dog that comes through the door. The prices are great. My dog gets a bath, her ears cleaned, and her nails trimmed for just about $20. It's so worth it, and it's affordable enough that I can bring her in once a month. Our 2 pups have had to be re-trimmed and their nails filed after each visit and the staff never listen to or honor our requests- not that difficult. They are rude and never bother to ask if we are pleased/satisfied when we pick up. This last visit our 2 were there for 9 hours, this after we'd explained that 1 of them needed to be treated with care as he'd had some surgery a few days before. Just picked up my dog and they made him look ridiculous. I wish I could show you a before and after picture. Before - attractive dog. After - ludicrous looking animal. I sincerely hope this grows in quickly. As for the place itself, its very clean and the staff is friendly, but seem to not really have much of a clue about dogs and dogs' hair - which you'd think would be important for their jobs. I'm not saying they're the worst groomers ever, but I can pretty much guarantee you can find a better one in the area. I know I will. Oh, and I'm pretty sure they also forgot to feed him all day. It is hard to describe the almost Zen atmosphere of Bark and Bubbles. It is not the physical environment, it is the warmth, calm and professional manner in which Sarah and Abby treat our dog and the other dogs. I was so pleased to find this grooming concern. They go way beyond the norm to make sure the dogs are treated well. Update: 11/1/2016 The owner called me promptly to apologize and refund our cost. I shared photos with her of the cut and she has promised to review with the staff. ### We scheduled an appointment for our golden retriever before our family photos. Both when I made the appointment and again when I dropped off our dog, I clearly said I wanted her to have a haircut but still look like a golden retriever--trim her chest and feathers but not too close. The staff mentioned that many customers ask for retrievers to be shaved and I said, again, absolutely not shaved, just a trim. When we picked her up, she had been shaved. Moreover, the shave was uneven with chunks of fur at different lengths. When my husband called to discuss the situation, the staff argued with him and told him that was the cut I requested. Our dog now looks ridiculous for our photos. I don't recommend working with this business--both because of the poor quality and also lack of customer service. read more

Sarah use to groom my Bischon Shayna until I had to put her down awhile back. Although I loved Shayna, she didn't make anything easy. She was especially hard to groom but Sarah was always patient and did a great job. Now when my daughter visits from NYC she brings her Havanese Frank to be groomed here. Sarah still continues to do excellent work, and truly loves dogs! Although Havanese are a fairly rare breed Sarah knew/found out what to do with him. He always looks great! read more
