Recent grooming for my dog. They did the bath, clip ( although somewhat ragged ) and ferminator I wanted at the grooming salon but I purchased a package that was supposed to include teeth nails etc. All that was done was bath, furmentator and clip. I did not notice till I got home the the rest was not done. Girls were good with the animals, but I asked to speak to the girl that did the clip three times and she never came. They appeared more interested in laughing and talking than the customer. read more

I recently lost my dog Parker back in October. a few days after I had to put him to sleep, I went to cancel my Petsmart insurance. I was told that if I got a letter from the vet that did the euthanasia, that I would be "allowed" to pay my bill in full instead of waiting the full year for the contract to run out. I understand profit and making money. I get these concepts, but when a company doesn't have the common sense or common decency to allow cancellations with proof of death, they lose customers. I don't want an apology or anything other than Petsmart to change this utterly stupid policy. Instead of thinking of the short term Petsmart, you should have been thinking of my next pet and all the positive word of mouth you would have received. 300 dollars is the price of Decency and future thousands of dollars of business. read more

No stars if I could. I came in for dog grooming appt which is a simple bath and brush and my dog came out matted in two spots. I called and took the necessary pictures for a manager but never got a call back. I called back again 12 days later to see if I could be assisted for the future appointment I had. And they were very rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. I got hung up on twice, she called back and still didn't understand my concerns. She gave me all the complaints of the store and it's clear to me why they have those complaints. she said the staff is afraid to get "yelled" at. My whole point of speaking to a manager is to avoid any type of yelling that's not my job to do, it's a managers job to hear my concern and relate it to the staff for internal training. waste of time and waste I'll be sure to take my business elsewhere and share that with my family and friends. read more

Nastiest person ever checking out! I went in wanting to exchange items with a receipt that had a coupon used on it. I explained what my intentions were and she said it would be applied to my purchase, so I left her with my receipt and items while I looked for something else. When I tried to check out, she only refunded what I paid, but didn't deduct the coupon. After trying to explain, "Miss Sam" (as the manager called her) or cashier # 626754 told me that I didn't explain what I needed, wasted her time, and she needs to work somewhere to get away from horrible customers like me. My husband and I said forget it, give us our items back, and we won't be getting the replacement items, but had other purchases. She charged us for the unwanted items anyway, the another charge for other items, so now we needed a refund because she wasn't paying attention again! She was staring at me with a confrontational look on her face, gossiping to other customers and workers while I was talking to the manager, Jonathan. I took my goldendoodle there today for a bath and puppy cut. she is 7 months old and still very much a puppy. The person that treated us got down on her level and spoke to her which she git extremely excited. The groomer then told me I was luck she had cat and was used to getting scratched. she said they would not cut her hair since it was her first visit. understandabl. they called a few hours later that she was ready. I asked how she did and they gave a negative review that she didn't like the clippers in her face or butt, well duhh, would you??? then when I picked her up they let her off leash behind the gate to the lobby and it took 3 people to catch her to be able to get her harness on her to go home. it was a joke of an experience and my dog looks no different after her $105 bath... never going back!!!!!! read more

I have taken Lucy to this location for 7 years. She hates it!! I have to drag her in and she won't look at me when I pick her up. I have always had an issue with their customer service but after covid it has become unacceptable!! They never take her on time. They don't answer the phone....I have stayed on hold more than 10 minutes and usually give up and just hang up. Today I found a new place. She is not even mad. I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews if I believe that my experience was unique and there is confidence in future encounters with the business. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case with my visit to PetSmart (Buford - Mall of GA) today. I attempted to have my 3-month old mini schnauzer groomed by another facility in the area, but they were closed today unexpectedly. I visited PetSmart to see if they could take him without an appointment. The receptionist expressed that it depended on what he would need done. I stated, "full service". She then stated that yes, they should be able to get him in - (The comment left me wondering what grooming service would have been denied for same day if full service was available). I was told that his groomer would be in at 11:30 and it would take 2-3 hours, so I left him there around 9:00 and expected to pick him up later in the afternoon. Surprisingly, I received a call at 11:37 and wasn't able to pick up. I called back immediately and couldn't get through. The phone would ring endlessly with repeated attempts. I decided to give it some time. I tried again 30 mins later, and someone answered and transferred me to "Grooming". I was on hold for a long period of time. Once I was connected, the receptionist stated that they were unable to do a full groom because my dog was uncooperative. I inquired further. All she stated was that he was "uncooperative and didn't behave", I think were her exact words. I thought, he's a puppy...; didn't behave?? What does that even mean? Why abort a grooming mission for an active puppy. This isn't my first dog, yet this has never happened. She indicated that he was ready for pickup. Once I arrived, I had a few questions regarding the "uncooperative actions" displayed by my 3-month old. The groomer asked if I could work on some things with him between the next service i.e. holding his chin still for five minutes a day and getting him used to someone touching his ears. This was ludicrous. My puppy isn't vicious or overwhelmingly hyperactive. It really came across as an excuse rather than a genuine concern. There were no less than four groomers present. If one was too timid to handle the job, they could've placed him with someone else. After all, they called me hours early to tell me he was complete (They were done at the time they told me they would begin). And finally, the bill was virtually the same as if they did a full groom. I asked why there was only a $5 dollar difference if they never used clippers and couldn't give him the full service. I received a ridiculous blurted response from one of the other groomers who overheard the conversation, "We mark down the prices so low, that it's virtually the same for a shampoo and trim as it would be for a full cut." Does this make sense to anyone? My wife and daughter did not know that I was taking him this morning, and I didn't tell them about the experience. As of this writing, they have no idea of this encounter. They haven't made a single mention of his "trim and shampoo". What does this suggest? It's as if I'm in the Twilight Zone and this never occurred. All in all, I hope the socialization with the other dogs was a great experience for him. I am very disappointed with the experience. He looks the same as when I took him in this morning. He needed a cut, not a simple shampoo. He just received that from me over the weekend. The receptionist stated that they also did his nails, which I can't confirm or deny (they weren't a noticeable issue when I took him in). A complete waste of time and money. I was really want to talk to the pet smart store manager in Buford Mall of Ga location before I paid. But it was almost 9:00pm and I'm not feel like to wait for the manager to show up. If I could give zero stars I would. On January 15, 2018, I went to this petsmart location to return a set of dog bowls I received as a gift from a friend of mine. I believe the bowls were maybe 13 dollars a piece (give or take a dollar). I walked in and went directly to the register and stood in line. I was finally called next by a woman named Karen. I approached her said hello, and TRIED to explain to her that I had these received these dog bowls as a gift and before I could say I didn't receive a receipt she cut me off and asked for one. I proceeded to explain that I didn't as they were a gift. She then asked for MY petsmart customer number and looked it up and said she didn't see the purchase. (Which she wouldn't because like I said they were gifted). So, after she rudely told me they don't return anything without a receipt over 10 dollars, which is written NO WHERE on their return policy, I said ok, no problem just seems a little biased. She then raised her voice very loudly to me and said "don't you call me biased I'll call the cops on you!!!" Embarrassed and confused I asked why? And she mumbled get out and walked into the grooming room. I, standing there looking dumbfounded walked into the grooming room a few seconds later to ask why all the tension and was ATTACKED by Karen! She knocked my phone out my hand, and continued to claw at me until another coworker came from behind the counter and grabbed her off of me. The police were called and a report was made. I was told I would be contacted by a manager or corporate and two months later nothing! Not one single manager, or petsmart representative has reached out just to simply apologize for Karen's actions. I went to the emergency because of pain in my wrist and was in a splint for weeks behind this foolishness. Earlier this week after no effort from petsmart to reach out to me (2 months later) I called corporate and made a complaint. I was told the NEXT DAY I would be contacted from their regional manager and again NOTHING! It's so unfortunate when corporate companies treat you like your so disposable. I have a 15 year old miniature long haired dachshund for whom I've shopped at petsmart for years for him and this is how I get treated after such a terrible and harmful experience! No regard what so ever to what THEIR employee did to me. I have gotten a copy of the police report and plan to take further action, I just felt people should know what type of company this is. read more

I made an appointment for a rabies shot for my geriatric dog. We showed up on time and waited about 20 minutes for someone to come out. I get it, it's Saturday and they're a little busy. The tech came out and greeted us and asked what time I could return to pick him up. Pick him up? I thought this was a shot. She explained that there were a couple of sick animals ahead of us. She told me to come back in "a couple hours or we will give you a call." The more I think about it, the more it really just doesn't make sense from an efficiency standpoint, not to mention my poor pup being put through additional unnecessary stress for what should take 5-10 minutes. Let's hope all those other sick animals don't get him sick while he's waiting back there with his 14-year-old self. Find somewhere else to go. Despite being swamped by customers , he was patient in helping us select our fish & accessories for our tank. I used to be a Petco customer but ever since my first visit to the Buford Petsmart I'm hooked. Not only are the prices lower but the customer service is beyond compare. I practically know the employees I go in there so much for my two huskies, pom-chi, three cats and two mice :) They always have great deals on dog food & treats whether it's a coupon or savings on my PetPerks card they always have some kind of promotion going on. This summer they have had several sales on flea meds which if you have animals you know is expensive. I usually get mine from 1800 PetMeds but they seem to have the same prices and I get the meds that day. The sales associates are very friendly saying hello when you walk in the door and noticing if you need assistance. I really enjoy my trips to Petsmart! read more

I frequent this Petsmart location enough with my friends (at least once a week on Saturdays) to be recognized by the staff. So imagine my surprise when we added a friend, who happens to be a dog trainer (and in her uniform ONLY because she was meeting us between clients) to our group and we managed to get kicked out of the store. Why, you ask? well, it was strange enough that we were being followed around by the 'store leader' for a minimum of 15-20 minutes, but after this we began to be interrogated with such questions as "are you actually going to shop here or are you just standing in the way?!" Mind you, at this exact moment we were trying Halloween costumes and winter coats on our dogs. To answer your question, yes, we were actually about to make a pretty hefty purchase (the fourth one this month alone!) complete with food, treats, toys, costumes and coats, but I am glad I saved my money and gave it to the friendly people at the Petco down the street! Back to why we got kicked out of the store... I guess the final straw for the 'store leader' was our well behaved dogs. Behaved so well, in fact, that when your customers noticed how good they were being, they came over to compliment them. Apparently this got confused with some kind of 'training session' that we were allegedly trying to conduct in their facility, and thus we got kicked out, for trying to 'compete' with their training center. Excuse me? we were just trying to shop, like we do EVERY WEEK in your facility. Maybe the management of this store does not appreciate well behaved dogs, or maybe she is just intimidated by pit bulls, but this is a poor representation of what Petsmart should be about, regardless, and I will be sure to pass this along to all of the people my friends and I encounter in the veterinary world, as well as in the dog training world, because I am certain they would love to hear about it. From now on, I will be visiting Petco every Saturday instead of Petsmart. I demand someone contact me and make this right! read more

My toy poodle Blue was groomed last Tuesday 12/22 and during this service she was cut on several places on her body after being groomed at this location. My poodle is black so we didn't see any red spots on her until last night when the cuts started to scab up. My daughter and I called this location just a few minutes ago and instead of providing good customer service one of the managers who I was transferred to began to ask in a condescending manner so you just now discovering this? I had to explain to her that my dog is black not white or light brown so we didn't see any cuts until the scabs came. My dog has never had any behavioral issues and this is the first time this has happened I am not sure if the groomer was rushing but this is unacceptable. I didn't even get an apology it was me offering up proof that the cuts existed by me saying do you need pictures and the response was yes since I'm out of town and could not bring her in so they could poke and probe my dog to see the cuts. I'm appalled and I've been told by lots of people in the area and by reading the reviews that this location is known for being rude and unaccommodating. This is not the first time I've had issues with this location. The first was at the Banfield inside of Petsmart and now the groomer! I will never bring Blue back to this location due to the lack of service and I hope that no one else will have to experience what I have. Took my dog in for a groom and told them what I wanted, I was very nervous about it because the groomer we used to have moved away and I didn't know how our dog would do. Later when I picked up my dog he was so cute! I asked for a puppy cut and bear head and they certainly provided! I love PetSmart's grooming salon in Johns Creek. I have always had a great experience there and my pet comes out looking great. She has sensitive paws and skin and growths to avoid and they are understanding of that and work carefully with her. I never worry about dropping her off there. They are always friendly too! Prices are reasonable too. I never feel like they try to find things to upcharge you for like some other places. I just wish they weren't so busy. This is the worst groomer I have ever taken my three year old Maltese to. The groomers seem like young kids and immature and didn't know what they were doing and I could tell when I first went there. They had my dog there for two hours and then said that he wouldn't stay still so that they could shave him what dog stay still? I took my dog to another shop immediately and they fixed him out in less than an hour got him shampooed and looking like new money this place sucks. I will never take my dog back to Petsmart again they don't know what the heck they're doing.The only reason they got one star is because I had to give them a star to just be able to post a rating. Well, based on the reviews, this isn't going to be shocking but Jessica, the cashier felt it necessary to argue the price of crickets with a paying customer. 1. You have price match so there should never be an argument. 2. If your individual stores have different prices, you should honor those. All the stores in Roswell, Woodstock, and Canton have crickets prices on a sliding scale, the more you buy the cheaper per cricket price. This store says they don't have that. Then price match, I pay $.08 per cricket because they match pet supermarkets price. I won't be coming back to this store for sure! If I could give a zero star review I would ! My friends and I have been going there every Saturday after work for a month or so . This particular day we decided to bring our WELL behaved dogs with us and our friend who Just so happens to be a dog trainer came along with her dog . I had great intentions to buy dog food and my friends were going to also purchase items that was until two particular female staff members began to stalk us and be continuously rude . To the point one of them asked us if we were shopping because people were trying to get through . We were shopping and the people who were " trying to get through " were actually admiring our dogs . We were asked to leave because we were accused of doing a training session when all our dogs were doing was acting how they had been taught to . After a call to petsmart corporate We left there and went to petco where we were greeted with smiles and free treats . This store location is horrible. I have seen dogs being groomed and the groomers seem frustrated while handling the dogs. I've bitten fish and frogs from here and every single one has died. I then went to pet co and I still own every fish I have bought from there. The tanks in the store here are filled with dead fish and look so sick. They were recommended to me for grooming my goldendoodle so I called to make an appt. I spoke with one girl and we discussed what I wanted done, then she transferred me to another without communicating anything so I had to go through the explanation again. No problem - we got it figured out and I was quoted a price. I showed up for my appt. and the girl at the counter told me it would a much higher price. When I pointed out the amount I was quoted she said she had to talk to a manager to get it approved. Nope. They were happy to charge me less for a bath only but not the minimal grooming service we had discussed and agreed on. So PetSmart, you lost someone that would have been a regular customer. I just wanna make people very aware of the kind of company it REALLY is. I was a pet care associate at the Buford Petsmart for 6 months and I have to inform everyone on what I personally witnessed and saw in that place. First of all I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to NEVER go to the Buford Petsmart. The mangers are horrible and only care about the profit of the animals and don't genuinely care about the health and well being of them. They are rude to customers and treat their employees like crap. One of the managers even cussed in my face because she didn't give two shits about two of gerbils being ripped to shreds by other gerbils. Not being CERTIFIED I had to PERSONALLY medicate sick and injured animals ALL THE TIME because of the neglect and mistreatment of these poor animals including small pets, reptiles, birds and EVEN fish. There are two rooms in the back of petsmart that no one really gets to see. It's horrific the way they keep these animals "stowed away" they are in tiny little bins that are never sanitized properly and they end up either dying or getting very very sick. I had to put ANIMALS in plastic bags and stuff them in the freezer if they were dead. I had breakdowns working there almost everyday. What I'm trying to say is NO ONE should give their money to support what Petsmart does to keep the place running. The animals come to us shipped in tiny tiny boxes and plastic cups and are either dead/sick or highly scared and stressed out. It's THE MOST INHUMANE place for ANY animal. We have a 14 day guarantee on the animals you buy ONLY because MOST LIKELY they are sick or will die soon because of the neglect and mistreatment of the animals. People would return the animals they buy all the time because they died, and they were so confused. Well now I'm here to tell the real truth of this disgusting place. If you are looking into getting a pet DO NOT GO TO PETSMART!! THESE PLACES NEED TO GET SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!!! Even since I've quit I still have trauma from what I saw in that place. They absolutely deserve ZERO STAR. I took my short hair coated dog today for a service MAINLY for nails and paw hair trimmings. I went there in person to make an appointment yesterday specifically mentioned what i wanted that she needs her nails cut, paw hair trimmed, anal glands squeezed, and a shampoo package which includes ear cleaning as well. I walked into the shop to pick up my dog after she's done and found out the paw hair was not trimmed at all. Took her back in for the paw trimming and thought that they may have forgotten and it can happen. Just took her home now, the nails are still extremely long some of her nails are broke rather than cut, ear is very dirty and red, her butt was covered with dirts. So ultimately i paid $31 ($2 more for sunday cost) dollors to them and had to rewash my dog all over again head to toe. I used to be a fan of petsmart and used to love how helpful and friendly they were , However, every staffs i met today at this location did not know what they were doing including the cashier (busy chitchatting with the coworker), and were just so lazy and they did not want to be there working on Sunday. I strongly suggest you reconsider using Petsmart to have your dog groomed. I took both my dogs into have them groomed. One, a terrier, was to be completely shaved down and the other, a Chinese crested powderpuff, was to have a teddy bear cut on his face and his paw area trimmed up. The terrier has areas of jagged stringy hairs, but that's not what I am so mad about, the powderpuff that has long hair growing from his crown that falls over the sides of his cheeks...well, I picked him up with one side completely shaved off. When I questioned the groomer she replied, I thought you wanted it that way. I said, if I did then why didn't you do the other side. This is a nice store. I visited on a Saturday, so it was pretty busy with many dogs and their owners shopping. My kids love to look at the fish, turtles, frogs, snakes, birds, cats etc whenever we stop in. I was shopping for dog food on this occasion. They have a nice selection but didn't carry the size bag I was looking for in our dog's brand. The size bag they had was $4 cheaper at Petco, so we purchased there instead. read more

Knowing for a fact they are told more dogs per hour ( this from a former groomer) quality is poor and I have paid for services I did not receive. Doing a full groom I paid for scissoring and they did not scissor. I have a 9 year old standard poodle I know a good groomed dog. I would give them zero stars if I could. I took my puppy here for her first bath and the ladies in the grooming area up front was really unfriendly and snooty. They talked to me as if I'd never been in a pet store before and made me and my puppy feel really unwelcome. They tossed around my vaccination papers as though they were not important. I was already debating if I should leave my puppy with them for the hour but because I had already checked in and gone through the hassle, I decided to just leave my puppy and see how it goes. I run to the mall to do some shopping and 20 minutes in, they call me to tell me to pick up my puppy with a towel because she didn't do so well. Ok, why would I have a towel on me and don't you have towels there?! With the customer service they provided in the beginning, I knew they didn't care about my puppy. I don't know if they even TRIED to give her a bath or groom her. They probably just looked at her and decided that they were not going to work on her. They're supposed to be professionals and they couldn't handle my puppy? I refuse to believe that. They said chihuahua's don't do well with baths or people touching their paws but my puppy is only a quarter chihuahua and she does well when I've bathed her. If they were gentler, maybe she could've done well. They also had NO suggestions on what I could do to help her get better with baths too. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! I took my dogs to petco for years to the grooming salon there and the last few times I took them they felt like they hadn't even had baths! I called....a lot when I was trying to make my dogs appointments yesterday because I wasn't going to be the one dropping them off and I kept thinking of things I needed done for the pups and the staff was so friendly and fit me in even though I called on short notice. They were friendly helpful and most of all my dogs looked and felt great when they left. I was able to tell them over the phone what I wanted and my dogs came out so perfect. So thank y'all so much for everything y'all did for them. We'll be back! read more

I was really shocked with the kind of treatment that I received from Bansfield located Inside of the pet smart by the mall of Georgia. I made an appointment for 1:30pm this Saturday (9/13/2020). Banfield called me and stated that my pet would not be able to be seen at 1:30 due to it having any kennels available. I was not aware that upon arrival to my appointment my pet would have been caged until the doctor was ready to see the pet. I was not happy about that...my appointment was pushed back to 4pm I got to Banfield at 3:50pm. I was not seen until 4:30 pm (my appointment was for 4pm). I waited in the waiting area the entire time with the other people trying pick up their pets. After going up to the receptionist several time to find out what is the hold up. She was not sure why there was a wait. When the nurse came out to get my pet she didn't look happy and when i told her I don't want my pet in a kennel. She muffled something and walked away, I didn't like that at all. I waiting a half hour in the waiting area and I was told to wait in my car after they took my pet. I work in a medical facility myself and I am aware of some of the procedures however, I was waiting since 3:50 for a 4 pm appointment and was not seen till 4:30. I was not told to wait in my car to be called for my appointment. There should be some sort of consistency as to how things should be done. If I have a 1:30 appointment I expect for my pet to be seen at 1:30. Not to be locked up in a kennel waiting on a doctor. I did not make an appointment for a dog sitter. I don't lock my dog up in a kennel and he is very well behaved. After my pet got his allergy shot I picked him up and he had blood on him. That has never happened before, my pet has been going to that benfield since he was 4 months old. I am so dissatisfied and will have to part ways! read more

The ladies here do a good job but charge way too much for a basic clean and cut. I started going to Petco instead and pay half as much.

Had our short-haired, medium sized dog groomed here. Service description said they included: bath, ears, clipped toe nails, and up to 15 minutes of brushing. As far as we can tell they only completed the bath, yet charged us full price (nails were still long, ears not cleaned, no evidence of having been brushed). They also charged us a substantial additional charge when we said our dog could not have scented products. When we called to complain, they said we had to drive back to the store for a refund instead of completing it over the phone. read more

I've read the lower reviews and just have to say that I have been shopping at the Buford/Mall of Georgia location for several years and have always been happy. I take my Westie dog Sugar to their grooming salon regularly also and I am very happy with the services from Diane. She is always upbeat and does a great job. I cannot speak about any of the other groomers as I always use Diane. The majority of the regular store employees have been pleasant as well. read more
