I always prefer to support local, but after two failed attempts at going to independent pet stores that didn't carry any rabbit stuff (actually, that's not true, one place showed me their rabbit stuff, e.g. the dog food that contained rabbit meat and the dog toys that contained rabbit hide/fur... awkkkkkkwaaaard) I stopped at this PetSmart in need of back-up hay; I found the usual Oxbow (don't buy their hay; it's bad, bad, bad), but also the in-house Full Cheeks brand (which I can't speak on yet). Picked up a 40oz bag of it, my rabbit's usual bedding, and my rabbit's usual treat for the same price I pay for it online (and, actually, it was $10 cheaper because they were having a small critter sale). While this won't become a regular stop for me, it was a quick experience made pleasant by the very friendly woman cashing me out! read more

I am not a cat person, severely allergic. But I wanted to get Loki, my mom's cat's nails trimmed, so I made an appointment at PetSmart. Loki isn't great about cat carriers, and he is one of those cats that you think loves you until he claws out... So Lindsey was the groomer and, while I was fearful that Loki might act up - she reported that he was the best. (I privately wondered if maybe she switched him... but once at home he was the same). He had a dry wash and brush - and his coat is awesome and he smells great - plus his nails are nicely trimmed. Yay! My only downside was a lack of understanding how the process works - and check out was a bit slow. read more

Great dog groomers! My pup gets anxious pretty easily so seeing him not shaking when I pick him up is a big deal.

They used to have a great dog groomers group. Went there for years. Everyone, most importantly Jessica, is apparently gone. Our attempt to try them out was a flop. Our dog was usually done in 2 1/2 hours. After my husband went by after 4 hours no one answered his call. As it was passing the 6th hour I went, got the manager and said I want my dog now. He's an old dog and gets stressed by grooming. The harried looking woman who came out was angry and defensive. She was admitting 4 digs when I arrived and had no help. Does anyone know where Jessuca went? Asking for many friends. read more

Friendly staff! They have a great selection of cat food and treats. Good sales as well. This location is super convenient when I head into town. Lots of cute clothing and accessories for pets of all sizes. read more

I've been here with my dog before and the last time they made him feel so safe and secure and he was totally fine. He also goes to the groomer, vet, and daycare ALL the time and have never had an issue in 8 years. The employee handling him today was very nervous and not listening to what I was telling her would help him- I knew for a fact that he would do better if I put him on their leash and left the room but she kept on insisting that I couldn't. I also warned her beforehand that if he's nervous he might nip (I mean, chihuahua) and she said it was ok. Sure enough, she cornered him when he was clearly very nervous and he nipped her. Her response was completely unprofessional-- it was clear to me she didn't have a lot of experience working with dogs (or people for that matter), and she said "I can't do that", which was, in my opinion, a strange response. Although I have had great experiences there before, it's unfortunate that we won't be going back due to the staffs lack of experience and understanding of dogs temperaments. read more

to the girl that wouldn't sell me 2 Oscar's for my 35 gallon tank. go back to fish school. fish grow to the size of their surroundings. hence the saying "fishbowl effect" I've been in the hobby longer than she was old. never going back to that store. read more

Smaller than the usual PetSmart. The staff was very helpful and kind. But they really need more than two people working on a Saturday.

Ok this store is awesome we got fish that died really quick but got baby fishys(that are so cute) and they have the cutest cats ever apart from mine and you can donate to them for the cats and they have a entire wall of fish A WALL OF FISH and they all don't look half dead and I didn't look at the dog toys but I have no doubt that they are sick. read more

I called On the phone to see if I could come right away- yay for me! I took my sweet new puppy into see Casandra. The grooming area was clean, smelled clean and Casandra was very welcoming. Toenails, feet, and bum hair, and a bow- and we were in and out of there in ten minutes. It would have been quicker if I stopped talking. . I'll see you next time. read more

They have a really good selection of fish tank, hermit crab and bird supplies as well as dogs and cats. However, I bought two dwarf gouramis here, and one sadly died only a few days after purchase. My tank was set up properly with good filtration and optimal heating, I believe the fish was already sick when I bought him, but didn't show signs until after I bought him.I gave him some medication, but it was too late.The one that is still alive is thriving though, which I'm thankful for. The supply here is good, but don't buy live animals here. read more

Jessica at Pet Smart grooming is awesome and my 4 year old Goldendoodle, Rangeley loves her! I have found it difficult to find a groomer who knows how to give a proper doodle cut and who listens to what you ask for. Jessica was very attentive and gave Rangeley the best cut he's ever had. She had short notice availability, was ready for Rangeley when I arrived, and 3.5 hours later when I picked him up, she was giving him lots of love and attention while patiently waiting for my arrival. Rangeley was very happy and so was I. My one comment would be that it's a bit pricey... for a bath, grooming and teeth brushing it was $95 while at other local groomers it's $50-75. However, I did have a coupon and they were running a friends and family discount so the price was brought down to a reasonable $65. I would highly recommend, but suggest you find a coupon! read more

Puppy class review: The instructor was very knowledgeable and will work with you if for some reason you can't make all the classes at the scheduled time. My little fella responded well and it definitely taught me, a seasoned dog mom, some tricks I haven't used. I am sure my dog would say the best part was romper-room time with all the other puppies at the end of class. read more

They never order enough live crickets to supply the high demand for them. They come in on Tuesdays and gone by noon. If they happen to have them that die in a day or two because they don't properly care for the crickets. crickets are suppose to be gut loaded. read more

I got the worst experience for my dog today I feel so bad for my dog never again I'm going back at this petsmart grooming I took my dog to get pumpered and expect something what I should expect but of course when I went to pick him up I'm full of disappointment I have a small dog and ask them to have the bath and brush packaged which is should be includes bath brush and blow dry, ear clean and ear hair removal, anal cleaning and paws and nail trim but did my dog get any of those services? The answer is no all he gets is bath I'm not even sure if they use shampoo on him and when they gave him to me his hair are still wet specially on the ears area so I just ignored that but when I inspect my dog nails and ear none of them were touche I'm very disappointed and of course not to mention they charged me 29.99 dollars just for a Plain Bath... I bring my dog to a groomer coz I'm not experience on how to remove hair on his ear so is nail trim if I knew they were not going to do all those I will not bring my dog there cause I can give my dog a bath my self!!! Never again I'm going back at petsmart grooming at Brunswick Maine just full of disappointment read more
