Took my dog to the groomers. I shop here regularly and use their vets so I figured it would be the same experience. I was extremely disappointed in the service. They had me waiting for 10 minutes for someone to come out and greet us. Wouldn't let us into the office. Then when I went to pick her up, they had me wait outside the office. Even though someone was sitting there doing nothing...they could have brought out my slip so I could have paid while I was waiting but they didn't. So I waited to go inside and get handed my slip, waited on line to pay at the register, and then waited for her to pick up my dog. After it was over I got my dog. Her hair isn't straight and she was damp. Her nails look awful even tho we paid for a nail cut and grinding. You can barely tell she went to the groomers. I've done a better job at home. Lesson learned. I'll go out and support small businesses instead. read more

This is as probably the most upsetting trip to the grooming center I've ever experienced! I usually take our toy poodle to the groomer Ashley who is excellent & to my surprise she wasn't in today & we scheduled his appointment thinking they assign our same groomer as we had asked for it to be in our profile! The wasted trip began with a nasty groomer named Jessica who met us a register, we asked for Ashley but she wasn't in, not wanting to waste my trip we explained what needed done an this girl started saying our puppy needed conditioning $10(to hair that was getting cut off) then needed nails trimmed & grinded, this was fine $18Then because we wanted the poodle boots she started adding $7x4= $28 each paw- al a carte!!! Our simple $40 grooming was now hitting $100! Ridiculous, we've never paid so much for a tiny toy poodle. I think worse was the attitude that Iam gonna charge you whatever I want attitude cause your bothering me mentality! I love my puppy too much to let someone like this touch my dog! Yes, we walked out after speaking to the useless Manager who obviously thought it was ok to treat a repeat customer as she did. Surprised, but we will never go back there again! This is my go to pet store! Obviously they have busy times and the lines can get a little long on a Saturday but the staff is always very friendly and ready to help you when needed. I also get all three of my dogs groomed here and they do an amazing job! I usually pay for the express service so I can get them done quicker and I love that they give me that option with my pups. read more

I didn't want to go back in the first place but since my dogs records were in file I did just for a nail trim. Her rabies vaccine was updated but I did not have the paperwork in me. They refused to trim my dogs nails over 3 days expired rabbles vaccine. On file they can see I always get her shots updated as I had used a different location for many years and only started to come to this one in the last two years. If they really cared about her vaccine and thought I was lying then why did they let me spend over 30 minutes in the waiting room as my dog greeted all the inbound dogs that were allowed back to get their services. My guess is that any excuse not to work was welcomed. I should never have gone and now I am sure I never will. read more

What an experience!!!!! Usually I never write anything negative but this visit was most probably the worst I have made to a cat store since I have been going there. First of all it took 30 minutes to get to finally pay for the stuff I was buying. Then the cashier had no clue how to price items. Had a coupon and he looked at me as if I was crazy using a coupon. So a manager was called in the equation and guess what now we know why the check out took half an hour because the manager was worst than the cashier. Most probably the worst customer service I have experienced in a while. Doubt if I will be going back to this location ever or any location for that matter. I had a terrible experience with Petsmart today for a bath, haircut, nail grinding and teeth brushing. I brought our dog in for grooming this morning at 9am. They told me she would be ready for pick up between noon and 1pm. 1pm came and went and around 1:45pm I received a call from the manager that our dog was being seen at Banfield, Petsmart's vet as the groomer knicked her ear and she was bleeding. When I called at 3:30 they said she would be ready in 20 minutes. I was told that the vet used surgical glue to fix her ear and that they gave her a cortisone shot for pain. I picked her up and brought her home and within 15 minutes of being home, I noticed that her ear was bleeding again. We brought her back to Banfield Hospital and they took her in immediately and "reglued" the ear with surgical glue. The also gave her a cone to wear for 5 to 10 days...... When I asked why she had a cortisone shot, they said it wasn't a cortisone shot, but rather a shot of Rimadyl to help with the inflammation and pain. I was very upset with the groomers as they told me incorrect information about the medication that our dog received. In addition, the vet said that the dog was suppose to leave the shop wearing a cone and that did not happen. At first the vet tried to minimize what had been done to our dog. Then through conversation, she admitted that a small piece of our dog's ear had actually been cut off. We were appalled at this. I do not think the groomers of Petsmart on Congress in Boynton are competent nor were they completely honest. I would not recommend them for grooming. read more

I had taken my dog to get groomed and i was appalled by what i saw when i got her back. They not only messed up my dogs hair cut but they also cut her paw and tail to where now she is bleeding. This is the second time that there has been a problem there with my dogs grooming and i will not be going back. read more

I just called for an appointment to have our dog's nails cut which I made for 3:15pm today, 6-27-2020. After I was transferred to the front to make sure when we came into the store, they had our Hills Prescription Diet in a 27.5 lb bag, I spoke with an uneducated person who doesn't understand customer service. We were only getting his nails cut there because that's the only location to get our special dog food. We normally go to the Lyons store who are wonderful. He said he thought they had it but weren't able to check. I said we didn't want to come all that way if they didn't and asked when would be a good time to have someone check. He said call in an hour and MAYBE they might have someone to check. I asked for a manager and unfortunately he said he was the manager. He said when we come in for our appointment, we could see if the food was there then. Really? Under this trying time, you can't ask anyone to check? I'm a Concierge in a major hotel and if I treated our guests like this man was treating us, I'd be out of a job. I hope this story ends well and wish my Lyons store carried our dog food so I didn't have to deal with someone who needs more training, patience and a definition of customer service during this rough time and beyond. I have never written a bad review of any service before now. We have been loyal customers of pet smart for 5 years. We shop there weekly, use BANFIELD and their pet grooming services. I have a beautiful golden Retriever and have always been satisfied with the grooming services. Our only request is to not buzz or cut her hair too short in areas other than where she had matting. My husband was very specific of where to cut short and where not to. My dog received a hair cut from Marie at the boynton beach store. It is the worst haircut she has ever gotten. She looks like a Labrador that was groomed with a hack saw, not a golden retriever. My husband picked her up and was too embarrassed to say anything. When I called to express our dissatisfaction with the cut the manager just justified he cut, stated that my husband signed off on It and blamed the whole cut on her having some matting. We spent over 100$ for this cut. Rather than offering a refund for this they justified it and said she could get a discount for her next cut. If that is all that can be done they just lost a very loyal customer who has spend thousands of dollars at their store. We may even go elsewhere for all of our dog and cat needs due to this poor customer service. read more

I was very upset when i picked up my german shepard and his paw was bleeding. There was quit a bit of blood that they didnt notice till i got there they couldnt stop the bleeding so they took him to banfield. It must have been worse then i though because he keeps biting on it. Also they charged me for a furmadator and usually when they do that it helps his shedding tremendous well hes shedding more now then before he went very dissappointed. read more

I collect pets, so I am always here buying them their food and other goodies. The staff is always friendly, their usually pretty well stocked (and are happy to check in the back if something you want happens to not be on the shelf), and the prices are very competitive to other pet supply stores. Their petperks card will offer you better savings, so you should definitely sign up for that. Your pet even gets a free toy for their birthday! Well-stocked, cleanliness, and a nice staff keep me coming back for all of my pet's needs. read more

My family and I wanted to adopt a kitten but the lady that we asked how much 1 kitten was she said we couldn't buy one we had to buy two they should have a sigh that says you have to buy two. I went to Petsmart in Boynton Beach, FL today to buy my dog renal care/ kidney food. I was told by the cashier Stephanie, I was not allowed to buy Science diet kidney care canned food. I proceeded to tell her that I have bought many cans of science diet, and to please look up my history. They refused to do that they said they couldn't sell me science diet I had to purchase Royal Canaan. I asked to speak to the store manager, and I was told by her and she was just a kid herself. I was not allowed to buy science diet kidney care. On the prescription originally my doctor gave to me it said kidney care dog food, it did not say any brand. Banfield put on the prescription Royal Canaan, which I don't understand if my doctor prescribed kidney care food. I was so humiliated, and angry. This was the worst experience I've ever had in any store. I buy $70 worth of cans of science diet and Royal Canaan every two weeks. I will not be spending any of my money at Petsmart in the future. Groomers gave my dog a yeast infection as well as a rash due to improperly drying her. I then took her to Banfield Animal Hospital (which is attached to PetSmart) and was told by the staff there as mentioned above it was due to the groomer not properly drying my dog. PetSmart paid the hospital bill. Now that I have informed them that I am getting a attorney they changed their story to "undetermined". They are also going to refund the grooming fee because I informed them that I will NEVER be using their groomers again. read more

I went in this afternoon to look at the ball pythons. After waiting in front of the tanks for 15min, nobody came up or offered me help. I had to actively search the entire store for someone to help me. The first associate I saw was walking towards me when I asked her for help. She said 'the cashiers will help you' AS SHE WAS WALKING AWAY. I went to the registers, two were open, but I went to the lane where no customers were being rung up. I asked the cashier there if he could help me with the reptiles. He said 'there should be someone by the fishtanks to help you'. Fine. I went there, and asked the woman there if she can help me. She said 'are you looking to buy? Because I'm very busy right now' (it looked like she was taking in live fish for stock. I worked at a petstore for 3 years - that is something that you can step away from for a couple minutes to help a potential customer in your store). I said 'okay, fine' and proceeded to head towards the exit. I hung around the door to take my PetPerks rewards card off my keychain and walked back inside to find a garbage to throw it away. On my final way out, the man I asked for help at the register called out 'did you find any help ma'am?' and I said 'NOPE' without even turning my head around. I have NEVER been so disrespected as a customer ever! It seems like these staff will only give you the time of day if you are there to make a purchase and PS - I was. But after been treated that way, I went right across the street and took my business to PetCo, where TWO associates came to help me. At the petstore I was employed at, I would've lost my job if I treated ANY customer the way THREE employees at this location treated me. read more

I recently got my dog groomed at Petsmart with diamond and I definitely see signs of abuse I won't be taking any of my animals back.

I think my dog was abused during his grooming session. Also tied his bow around neck so tight he was chocking and not even one finger would fit in between his neck. Iv been to this specific petsmart numerous times and this is the first time Ever this happened. The groomers name is diamond, awful how cruel some people are. He's traumatized 24 hours later still shaking and my energetic dog now doesn't want to be touched and is hiding, my heart is broken not knowing what was done to a family member. HR is being contacted. These kind of people need to be punished. read more

My dog has been groomed here for the past 4 yrs. On a recent visit, they did not groom her like previous visits. I talked to the grooming salon on the phone and asked if they could correct it and they said ok. When I came to the store, they refused to correct it and said I would have to pay for another haircut. This Petsmart is located right next to Barnes and Nobles. The layout itself annoyed me as there was no room in the aisles. Tins filled with toys, etc filled the walking space! However, it was very clean and organized. The true compliment would be to the grooming station. It was set up like a barber shop and you can watch the dogs getting groomed. Cute. Last night i called regarding my dog having an ear infection, they said ear infections are emergencies. So i waited till the morning to walk in (9:00am) waited 30 mins for someone to even look at me. Then told me that they don't do walk ins? That i would have to leave my dog... ALL I NEEDED WAS DROPS! So unhappy with how they treated me and I will not be coming here ever again. Terrible grooming, don't waste your money. Staff is horrible, manager is even worse. When I asked why it took so long and why I was never called when my 20 pound puppy was done the manager yelled at me. Store manager tried to help, but he wasn't able to do much since there's a grooming manager. Took 3 hours for a bath for a 20 pound puppy. Groomer called an hour and a half after I dropped her off to tell me she was starting the bath. Basically I made an appointment so they could keep my dog looked in a kennel while the groomers stood around doing nothing. All in all, if I wanted to take my dog to doggie day care I would have. Pay extra and take your pets elsewhere, its not worth the headache. read more

I recently adopted a kitten and I wanted to make an appointment with them to get the kitten checked out and for vaccinations. So the first appointment I made they called me and had to cancel my appointment because of an emergency and the vet had to go somewhere else. Then I make another appointment a week later and they cancel that one as well and didn't even call me until I call 30 minutes before hand to make sure that there was nothing wrong and they told me that the vet that went on maternity leave!! They keep rescheduling my appointments and then cancelling the the day of! The service is absolutely horrible! . They lost a potential client before i even went in for an appointment! read more

I never had a great experience with the groomers there. 10 years ago they charged me extra to groom my dog because he was difficult to work with just because he hated baths. Which was absurd, because that dog never once bit anyone or growled. But today, I brought in my other dog to get her nails clipped. They refused to work on my dog because I did not have paper work proving that my dog had her rabies shot, even though I had her tag. Which was fine but when I was asking for clarification as to why my tag was not good enough proof, the other groomer who was not helping me, chimed in with a rude and rather snide matter-of-fact attitude. This really rubbed me the wrong way, and confirmed my original assumption that the groomers of pet-smart are rude, entitled, and incredibly impatient people who don't value customer service and are quick to refuse service when things get difficult. They're not even that great of groomers anyway, save yourself money and go somewhere else read more

Took my dog here for grooming. Jessica is amazing!!!!!!!! Can't say enough good things about her and the way she treated my dog. She is so nice and very upfront. Did an extremely thorough job!! I have to say that the multiple times I have been here I found the staff to be super friendly and approachable! I ordered a 60 gallon tank online to pick it up at this location, only to realize later that my car might not be big enough! The staff mounted it on a cart and brought it all the way outside and somehow made it fit inside! I was very thankful cause it wasn't an easy job! Their fish supplies are always stocked and at great prices! Def recommend this location! read more

We never take our dogs to get groomed, we typically do it at home. But as we were too busy for the upcoming holiday, we decided to get them "pampered" at a groomers. We should not have. Our dogs now have ticks. I got rid of them the first time & now they are back again. It is so sickening! My poor babies have ticks all over them, it breaks my heart. My aunt's puppy went at the same time and her puppy acquired ticks as well, fortunately she has got rid of them for good. Just don't bring your dog here to get groomed. When we arrived, the lady brought out one of our dogs and when we asked about our other dog, bailey, she looked at us, puzzled, looking back to her coworker and asking "Do we have a bailey?" Are you kidding me? And on top of that, The lady that gave us our papers to purchase the grooming forgot to give us one of the dog's papers and insisted that she had given it to us, and so she wouldn't give us our dog until we went & paid for ANOTHER grooming fee! Absolutely ridiculous and so unorganized. Terrible service at the groomer's. read more
