With all the customers in the CSRA that come through this store why is it that they only have one register open? Each time I've visited I've stood in a line 15+customers deep!!! Utterly ridiculous! Customer in front of me said she placed an order for pickup over hour ago. It's still saying they're working on it on the app. So now she's in line buying it and canceling order! I have never dealt with a more inept staff in my 62 years. This is the THIRD time I have had a problem with one particular employee. That means its a PetSmart issue not his issue. The latest fiasco involved an online purchase. I purchased 2 of the same item and had them delivered from the local store to my home. That part went perfectly. One in used one of the two I realized I did not need the second one. So I went to the store to make a return on the unopened, unused product. I had paid online using PayPal attached to my checking account. This confused the young man working on the return. He called for a supervisor to help. Here comes Luke. Again, this is the THIRD time I have deal with Luke. Luke puts his key in register and entered some data. They asked for the credit card I used and I told them there was no card, it was Paypal directly to my checking account. Luke made a smart alek comment and walked away telling the young man to issue a store credit (no thank you) or cash refund. The total for my order was 41.79. I was refunded 45.13. When I noticed I went back to the store and brought this to Luke's attention. His exact words were, "What do you want me to do about it? Just keep it." This has been my go-to for quite awhile as our cats are aging and require prescription food and this is the only place I can get it, but now it has become even more vital. Now our home has two more furry family members, but (for the first time) they are dogs. Both small, but so different in personality. Thankfully we can purchase quality wet and dry food for them there, but also beds, shampoos, itching spray, powder, and treats. Now I understand why over half of the store is dedicated to dogs. They have costumes (yes, we bought one for Halloween) and sweaters (of course they needed one for the holiday pictures). I am not sure we will take advantage of the training classes with these two, but maybe in the coming years. Once again they have proven their value to our family. *Insider's Tip -Instead of a discount card, they now enter a phone number. Someone please save the fish. This PetSmart is so dirty it's sad. I only come here because it's really close to where I live. But every time I'm here, the fish are dead and the tanks are filthy. Dead fish need to be removed because they release chemicals that can make the other fish sick. Most of the tanks are like this. They don't even bother to clean it. Came here with my grandma to get her a pet betta fish and decided to get another hamster as well. Store was dead, no one in sight to help. I asked the cashier to call sumone to get me the hamster, she said ok. We stood near the habitats in clear view for 20 min before just leaving the cart and walking out. They clearly don't want to sell their pets who would've had loving homes. Petco has become much better. Also they have awful pet food selections and can't find anything decent for my cats or dogs. There is "Masks are Required" sign at the door. On their website they also claim that masks or face coverings are required. However, when I visited the store, there were several people without any face covering. I tried to alert the person I thought was the manager and he basically ignored my concern. He didn't even attempt to provide masks to those customers without face covering. I tried to tell the customers but they basically started saying derogatory comments to me. How can we, elderly people or people with compromised immune systems feel safe when entering a store that supposedly requires masks, just to find out that they don't? if we want to stop the spread of this virus and stop the deaths, we all have to do our part, not just put a sign at the door. I usually go to Petco, but was in the area and needed to get Wellness hard food for my frenchie. I was not pleased with their selection of dog food. I guess I'm used to Petco's organic section. Pricing is moderate and pretty much the same as Petco. The place was a bit smelly and dirty, check out was a long wait (it was not busy at all). I am giving a low review because when I contacted door dash they said that they could not help me because the order had been canceled. This place has everything you will need but be prepared to shell out some money for it. I just recently bought a new dog and before the dog even came home I dropped $500 on everything he might need. Afterwards I realized I could have found comparable items for wayyy less. However, this is a nice store and we bring our dog every 4-6 weeks for grooming. I actually enjoy bringing my dog here just to be around other dogs. It's like an indoor play place for dogs on the weekend. read more

This PetSmart is one of the pet shops in the area that are worse for wear. The aisles are crowded, the prices are mislabeled and the coupons available on the aisles are wrong. I encountered a disheveled canned food aisle and was unsure which was which but no one was around to help so I winged it. When I tried using a coupon for the food, the cashier informed me the coupons had expired. Normally, I'd completely understand and shrug it off but after standing in the only line on a busy Saturday with no help, frustration over the labels and now being told they wouldn't honor their own coupons kind of set me off the edge. Thank goodness for Amazon I guess. I will say what they lack in selection and cleanliness, they make up for in a really awesome selection of doggy bones, chews, toys, gates, and beds. You've gotta take the bad with the good and my dog seems to only like the toys I can find here and they definitely are more receptive to my 45 lbs. monster walking up and down the aisles in an effort to find that perfect toy. She loves that original skinny squeaky dog toy you see in the PetSmart commercials and every time she rips it up to the point of itty bitty fabric, I can see that she just isn't herself until we find her a new one. read more

Petsmart grooming needs to work on their customer service skills. My pup had an appointment on 5 Jan '19. When my husband and I entered the grooming area no one greeted us. We stood there at the counter while 5 maybe 6 ladies continued to groom dogs. A few looked up at us but continued grooming without saying a word. It was like we were invisible. We stood and waited giving them a moment to say we'll be with you soon. Nothing. My husband and I looked at each other. After a few minutes of standing I said hello I have an appointment. One of the ladies decided bc no one else moved to put her dog away she was working on and came to help us. It was unbelievable. read more

I visited this Petland Groomer with an appointment for a bath and brush for my GSD. I told the woman over the phone and in person before her appointment started that it was her first time at the groomers and she may be a little nervous. I also had my 1 year old with me at the time and I was lugging her around on my back. When the groomer came to take her to the back I asked if I should wait for her in the plaza or go home. She said it would take at least 2 hours and to go home and wait for a call. I drive home and get my daughter out of the carseat and immediately get a call from the groomer asking me to come back. I asked if anything was wrong and she said no, just drying her now so "by the time [I] drive back she will need to be picked up as soon as possible." I asked if she was dry and ready and she said she would be completely dry by the time I got there. At this point it's been 15 ish minutes and I also paid for a "15 minute" brushing as described on the website so I know for a fact she did not do this (also by all the hair left in my car) based on timing. I have to get my daughter back in the car seat and drive over and my dog is nowhere near dry. My car's upholstery was wet afterwards and I had to towel and blow dry her (and brush her) myself once I got home. I was extremely disappointed and glad I moved shortly after so I would never have to visit them again. read more

Service includes Oxygen-Infused Bath, Tangerine Shampoo, Blow Dry, Up to 15-Minute Brushing, Sanitary Trim, Nail Trim, Ear Cleaning or Flushing, Anal Gland Cleaning, Scissoring Feet & Shaving Pads." Mclean M had appointment availability most convenient for me at 2:30PM 12/29/2015. I chose to have a simple bath due to the fact that Christy was booked, if she had availability I would have scheduled a Full Groom for my pup with her. Christy is by far the only person who has shown a genuine care for pups and her statement that she loves on all the dogs she grooms is what caught my attention---No wonder why she is always booked! My experience with this PetSmart location was absolutely horrible, and based upon my experience I would never recommend services there. I have a year old Maltipoo, she weighs about 4lbs. I dropped her off prior to 2:30 PM. I received a call at 4:15 PM that she was ready to be picked up, I was in the area at Logan's Roadhouse, so it took only a few minutes to get back to PetSmart. This is where the horror story begins. I arrived, I was given the receipt from a groomer and told to check out at the registers. I stated that I would not make a payment until I see my dog. Strike one, she gave me an awkward look and repeated that I can check out at the registers. I stated that I understand that but I want to see my pup, THEN I will proceed to check out. She pranced to the back with her attitude, mind you, several other customers were coming in and out to pick up their dogs and they came out quickly. I was still waiting on my dog, after she had been at this location for nearly 2 hours. Finally she came out with my Maltipoo, she was shaking and climbed up on my shoulder. I put her down on the check-in counter so that I could check to see if she was groomed well enough. At first sight, she looked perfect, with a little bow in her hair and smelled great. Then I noticed her paws were still curly, her pads were not shaved, her sanitary area was untouched, her ears were not cleaned, her nails were terribly cut, and she still had tear stain gunk on her face. That is when my attitude began to change. There is absolutely NO WAY you can tell me that my dog has had a thorough bath and tear stains were still visible! I stated that I was unsatisfied, and after waiting 2 hours clearly nothing was done to my dog! She kept insisting that my pup was bathed and they do not shave anything unless told to do so....well why is it listed as part of the Bath Package?? I can simply bathe my dog myself, I chose that package to have everything else advertised done and I stated that at check-in. After asking to speak to a manager and reiterating my concerns, The manager initially stated "Well I can tell she was bathed just by looking at her (she was fluffy). The groomer then stated to the manager "I overlooked the goobers in her eyes..." ...I asked well are you going to clean her face? She whisked my pup to the back and cleaned the "goobers", I then stated her paws were not scissored or shaved nor her sanitary area, I would like to have that done. She reluctantly did that as well. I mentioned that I have had to wait 2+ hours, despite that on the printed receipt "1 hour duration"--- their rebuttal was in reference to my pup having to sit in a kennel. That was not my concern, I despised the fact that I waited for such a long period of time and not a single thing was done! The manager offered to reschedule, I declined. She then offered a 15% discount. At this point I was just ready to leave. The groomer stated she had corrected the problems, indeed she did with a horrible attitude! The bath package is only $24.99, I did not care about the discount. If you offer a service, do it correctly. I feel as though because my tiny Maltipoo was not there for a Full Groom that she was not of importance. I stepped out of the grooming area and checked out, the young lady checking me out apologized for my experience and she was not even involved. I appreciated that very much because the groomers nor the manager acknowledged any fault. I went to my car, and had to look over my Maltipoo once more, I noticed that she had a matted area behind her ear and a few tiny tangles on her belly area. 15 minutes of brushing is included! & I smelled her paws, they did not smell like they even touched a hint of the advertised TANGERINE SHAMPOO or bath water period! I asked to speak to a manger again, a different lady came out to speak with me. I expressed my concerns including my NEW findings. I told her that if anything was done to my dog, the matted area would not be near her ear---if so they would have charged me extra and I would have expected that. I would have actually preferred to be charged more than lied to entirely. I was given a refund. Such a waste of time, I will not return. read more

If you ever need a great groomer Chris Dexter is very happy to help and gentle he has been with petsmart for 11 plus years. Went in to look about adopting a cat, and found the perfect one. I went to adopt but was told I had to take its siblings also. I already have another kitten, and don't want 3 kittens. My daughter had the same experience trying to adopt one cat , and they were forcing two on her. We both walked away. We did notice another lady was excited about a kitten, and ended up not taking it because of the same reason. These are kittens they can be separated from their siblings and live happy lives in loving homes. I would tell everyone avoid going here to adopt unless you want 2 for the price of 2. read more

Rating is for grooming services. I took my shih tzu/lhasa apso mix for grooming here a month or two ago. The poor rating is in response to several patches of razor rash on my dog's belly and behind his ears, and to an angry red welt that swelled to the size of a nickel and got infected, requiring a vet visit (clearly caused by the groomer accidentally clipping his skin...for lack of better phrasing...in the fleshy spot where his balls used to be). Poor rating is also for how the experience unfolded, as follows: I called the grooming salon a few days after the cut to ask if there was a recommended course of action--they asked me to bring the dog in and show the injuries to a manager. I asked if I should make an appointment, and was told just to stop by any time. Decided to wait another day to see if the irritations cleared up, but they did not. When I went in the next day on my lunch break, there was no grooming salon manager at the store. Instead, I spoke directly to the groomer who had administered the cut--who seemed unsure how to respond, and relatively unconcerned about the dog's injuries. She suggested I take the pup over to Banfield to see the vet. I explained to her (and another employee nearby) that I was told to talk to a manager--I reiterated this a few times, and they brought over a manager from the main store floor, who was irritated that she had to deal with this. She told me to bring the dog over to Banfield to see the vet immediately, and that PetSmart would cover the cost of the visit and any related expenses. So I walked my dog over to Banfield to see the vet. Re-explained the story to the vet tech. Vet tech had to call the manager, who had to verify the story.The vet did see me promptly, considering the impromptu visit, and she was wonderful. If not for such an unpleasant experience at the rest of this PetSmart, I'd be back to see this vet. She prescribed some ointment and cone of shame confinement--she said PetSmart would cover the cost of both the prescription and the e-collar. I went back over to the store area to pick up an e-collar (pup--fortunately--has not needed one up until now), and they were out of the size he needed. Picked up a larger size out of necessity. Went to check out, and the checker had to call the manager to verify. Same irritated manager was even more irritated that she had to be dealing with me again. Worth noting: Not a single apology out of a single person at PetSmart for any of this. I was expecting just to speak to a manager about course of action when I went in, which is why I did this on my lunch break. I ended up being back to work three and a half hours late. The store was not busy when I visited, and the process could have been expedited had the manager walked over to the vet with me, or mentioned to the one checker on duty that my purchase was to be comped. The haircut itself was a bit sloppy--uneven (and too close!) shaving on the belly and around the ears, and pretty awful on his feet (can't give too much blame for this, though, as I know pups are generally not cooperative with foot-touching). We went to check on progress about two hours into the grooming appointment, and the cut hadn't actually started yet, which means my dog had been sitting in a cage (we don't crate him at home) in the back for two hours. We got to witness the groomer handling the dog--though perhaps not roughly--with not as much care as I hoped. He was shaking (not a normal behavior for him) when we picked him up afterward. Hugely disappointed, as I've had this dog groomed at other PetSmarts and been quite pleased. Two stars instead of one because of the wonderful vet, and because the store did cover the cost of the vet treatment needed. read more

I'm from out of town. Went here to pick up dog food - the dog food (Wellness brand) that I buy on Amazon.com for $9. It was $17 here on "sale" for $14.99. I asked a woman if they price matched and she said it depended on the website (that doesn't sound right - you either do or you don't) and while I was talking to her, the male manager, who was wearing no identifying uniform, name tag or anything, totally interrupted our conversation and was honestly not very nice. Unfortunately I was in a position where I had to buy the product, if not I would have told him to shove it where the sun don't shine. This has become the go to place for litter for our cat. He is a big cat and he needs lots of litter and of course the only kind he will use is the expensive stuff. I have found they are consistently the cheapest place in town to buy it. The store is kept clean though of late it appears they are not stocking their shelves very well. They have a grooming center and a vet area. I like that you don't have to carry a customer card with you that all you have to do is type in your phone number on the keypad to get the customer rewards. My wallet and key chain thanks them for that. The toy area for dogs seems to be extensive with the cat area not being so great. I still believe they need someone walking the floor to help people with questions instead of people having to go to the register and they need to work on their stocking issue but its hard to turn down low prices for name brand items. read more

Kate, the groomer, did a really, really good job grooming my dog!! I can't explain how good my dog looks compared to the times she was groomed at Petco. My dog's coat is super even and stylish. I was in yesterday to pick up my dog at 1:50pm on October 4 from grooming. As I was waiting for her to be brought out, there was a dog which looked like a king charles but not wasn't being groomed. When groomer did the nail the dog yelped and she refused to stop when dog almost flew off due to extreme pain she restrained him and continued hurting it. It really disturbed me. I had to leave cause I had to drop off my dog at home and go to an appointment. But I called the manager and told them and they said they would address it. Unfortunately the callousness of this girl and the other girls indifference really concerned me and I can not in good conscious take my dog there again. PetSmart is great! I loved when the original trainer trained my 3 dogs!! A new trainer started, I opted out and was refunded, I did try a couple of times, but it was nothing with the original trainer and I feel she needs to enjoy her job more, to pay attention to dogs that are terrified of the clicker, poor dog backed in to a corner, also a few pups peed and I felt and saw her annoyance! I'm a Hugh animal person so that all bothered me, I'm grateful for my refund, I just hope she'll think about her job and compassion more! Learn real trading techniques! Also as much as I do still shop there for my dogs food, they have a great selection and prices aren't to bad there!! Treats on the other hand are to pricey, Walmart has same chew bone for half the prices, I hope they will check out the prices and come down on the treats!
