Petsense is a bit far and out of the way for me. I only visit when I'm in Tulare, at the outlet, or both. Haha The one thing I do appreciate most about this place of business is that they are super organized and clean. They often have great deals and their dog toys are super affordable. My weiners always love their new toys and the treats we get them from here. Store employees are cheerful as well and you can tell they have a love for animals. read more

Really, really love it here. Always have the nicest employees working when we are there! Best prices I have ever seen. Love the clearance tables. Seeing the other dogs come in is a blast and our dog had fun checking everything out in here. I cannot be in this area and not stop in. Lots of selection and clean store. read more

Stopped here on our way back to Fresno because we wanted to bring something back for our pup after being away for the weekend. The employees were nice and welcoming. My boyfriend and I were just looking around every aisle and a man asked us if we were looking for anything specific and if we needed help, which was nice. Yes, their prices are ridiculously high, but they do carry a pretty decent collection of doggie dresses and shirts and the people working here are always so friendly. Yes, I have certainly been to better stores but things are looking up. read more

As most pet store shoppers are, we love our pets. For years, before we found this place, my husband and I frequented the two big box stores in Visalia, as well as other local stores that carried dog and cat merchandise. They usually had the food we fed our pets, but missed out on everything else. Petsense in Tulare, has 'Always' had polite employees. I've never had a bad experience while interacting with the staff. While other places have usually led us to more expensive options, the staff here lets us know what other customers, as well as themselves, have used and liked or disliked. Years ago one of our dogs had a reaction to a bag of food, and Petsense was able to exchange it for a different brand. They offer a program that when you buy your 10th bag, the next would be free. When we first found this place, which ended up being under a mile from our home, they didn't carry a certain brand of food. So they took our info and in under a week they called to inform us that they now carried the brand, size, and flavor in which we inquired. Another thing that's a BIG deal for me is that the store is always clean. Nothing is usually out of order, leashes, collars, toys, food, are usually in there designated spot and not laying on the ground or mixed in a pile of rubble at the bottom rack. Animal dropping odor has never lingered in the air after being cleaned up because it's cleaned right away and not just covered with paper towel. We are also impressed by how considerate the staff is by offering to carry oversized items to the car. On multiple occasions they've priced matched other local stores that were having sales on the exact brand we were buying, thing was we never inform them, they took it upon themselves to let Us know. We've been regular customers for years, it's hard to find a place that takes the time to learn your pets name and remember. It's extremely rare to find a place that shows true sadness when they hear your pet has passed. I am surprised I did not check in the time I adopted the love of my life here. This place located in the Tulare Outlets far right side corner. We've usually stopped here for dog toys since some of them are at a decent price and we've also bought a leash and harness here before. The staff is friendly and welcoming right when you walk in and always ask if there is anything in particular that we might be looking for. They have all different kinds of knick knacks for all pets (dogs, cats, fish, etc). Back in February 2011, they had a pet adoption fair. All dogs were in their clean crates and the staff was friendly and patient without pressuring anyone to adopt. I fell in love with my little Porky who looked all bored in his little crate. A sweet lady approached me and asked me if I was interested in adopting and I explained that after I had had a horrible adoption story in the past, I was a bit hesitant to adopt again. She provided all the answers to my questions, she even told me he was potty trained (sooo true and so thankful for that!!) and also said that they would be leaving in about 15 minutes but no pressure. My little Porky was given more time from a kill shelter due to the fact that she had taken him in as a foster. She explained how he had been to the vet and everything was current, she was detailed in his temperment, and asked me to just give him a short walk even if I wasn't planning on taking him home being that they were almost going to leave. I walked him and was head over heels. I spoke to my husband about the pros and the cons of adopting this little one but quickly I knew I had to do it. I went back in, signed a few documents with happy tears in my eyes, paid $35 dollars for the adoption fees and after the lady gave Porky a sweet good bye, this little stinker was mine (he did smell a little haha). Now, Petsense also provided me a small bag of free food for him and gave me his little blanket to take with me. They also provided me all the contact information in case I had any questions or concerns about my little one. This truly was one of the best decisions I've ever made and will forever be grateful for Petsense. Unfortunately I deducted a star since in the last couple of times I've stopped by there hasn't been any more adoption fairs and because I saw a floating fishy in a cup in my last visit. read more

Use to love this store!! Management and employees changed recently. It is horrible now. No one is friendly. You can seriously walk in the store, spend 30 min, check out, and not a word from anyone. No Hello or even a thank you! Nothing!!!! No more!!! I will just buy else ware for now. read more
