Very friendly staff. I was immediate greeted and helped. I was a little disappointed they don't carry any vegetarian or plant based dog foods. My dog has an animal protein allergy, so she can only eat plant based or fish products. I ended up getting her a salmon based food. Fingers crossed she will do well on it. They have everything what you would need. Pet beds, carriers, toys, etc. I was happy to find a premium store with a short distance from Pensacola Beach. They have a small cat adoption area with 4 temporary homes for babies waiting for they forever home. This store is owned by Tractor Supply. They are conveniently located near the Winn Dixie in a medium sized shopping center. Sorry for the cloudy photos. I dropped my phone at the turtle conservation center and the impact broke my lens. Went in to find a better cat food than friskies. Ended up getting a science diet cat food, but at a good deal. Turns out they price match. Just find a better price from a brick and mortar store and they'll match it. Plus every 10 bags get the 11th free. Wow. The people here were friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone. read more

The store was clean. Cashier was nice. I went on Veterans Day. I was then told that petsense and tractor supplies do not have veterans discounts. I am not a veteran And I am out raged so therefore. I will no longer shop at either store. Greedy swamp rats. read more

Just an FYI that Angeli McMillan's reviews is full of lies which she tends to do. She was caught falsifying adoption forms, had the pet limit per lease already and sent friends in to this business in an attempt to fraudulently adopt this animal and give it to her. It got so wild that they have to remove the animal due to fearing she or someone would steal it! She ranted on about HIPAA violations and no one who wasnt involved in the adoption process ever saw any of her information. Per adoption agreement, any current animal owned by potential adopter needs to be current on vaccines... hers were not. She then went on to lie about a friend adopting the animal for her when in fact the animal was removed from the location. This is an amazing place and I will not stand by and watch them be slandered by a nasty person. read more

They are always nice there and I took my dog to get her groomed and Jamie did a great job!! I have gone to other groomers before and she ended up all chopped up like someone took a lawn mower to her. Or they won't groom her because she barks when she's nervous. I am so glad I found Jamie! She's fantastic!!!! read more

Unbelievably until this place opened, there was not a pet store to be found in roughly 20 miles either direction on 98. Since I have a lizard I often need to get her crickets, and there was no place to go in a bind. Petsense fills that niche and is really close to where I live. Unfortunately though their crickets are incredibly over priced. You'll be paying double that I am used to getting charged by the pet stores in Pensacola. Other than that, it's your typical pet store. They seem to specialize in pet supplies, so no cats and dogs for sale here (thank god). Their reptile selection Is somewhat limited though, but they do have a few things. Staff was nice enough but nothing that blew me away or anything. read more

Went when they first opened; the manager is a very nice man!!! I was buying my dogs their food but we got to talking and I work for an animal shelter in Fort Walton Beach. He immediately said he would be happy to save any damaged out food etc for our shelter. Sure enough a few weeks later he gave me a call to pick some up! I cannot praise Cathy in grooming services enough for her kindness, patience and quality grooming services! Our sweet poodle was well overdue for a groom and was clearly matted. Cathy made room in her schedule and patiently de-matted our sweetheart even staying overtime to make sure she was perfectly trimmed. She willingly showed me how to brush and care for our puppies coat to prevent further issues all without making me feel demeaned or talked down to. We have had several dogs throughout the years but have never met a kinder, more compassionate and professional groomer! Update: Had such a wonderful experience with our miniature poodle I decided to try my grumpy 14 year old Pomeranian poodle mix who is not people friendly at all! Wow! I'm blown away once again by Cathy at Petsense in Gulf Breeze. Although he was difficult to handle at first and took both of us to calm him down he quickly responded to her expert handling and received a beautiful bath and sani-shave. Courtney did an Awesome job !!! Our lil dog received the "Best Groom ever"!!!! I was so happy to see a pet store return to this area of Gulf Breeze. Finally, I won't have to go to Pensacola to get what I need! Or so I thought. They always seem to be out of what I need every week (lizard food such as crickets, worms, etc.). I buy what I need, then feed for a week. The day before I run out, I go back to get more food and find that they're out. They need to do a better job in keeping and ordering stock or people will just go back to the places that they used before Petsense moved in. That would be quite detrimental but if I have to keep making multiple trips, I won't be back. Superpets, Petland, PetSupermarket, and Petsmart have never been out of what I needed. I guess I'll have to do it the way I used to and get them on my way home from Pensacola if this continues. read more

It is great to have a pet store close by. I have been in this store several times and the staff have always been very pleasant and helpful. I love the fact that they work directly with a rescue to find animals good homes.
