Very nice store. We went for the self wash dog area and were overjoyed with their setup. Everything you need, no bending as the wash station is raised. So,I got this cat at pet supermarket. She is a bit different. She is missing some teeth,but I don't mind. She is very small for an adult cat,but I find it cute that she's tiny. This pet shop is amazing!! I had to give my dog a bath and i have a 70lb pit bull which is the sweetest girl ever, but occasionally reacts to small dogs. They have a person who picks up the phone almost immediately and they coordinated with me the best time to bring my girl in for a bath and when I got there we're so incredibly nice to my dog and understood the bad reputation some pits get due to no fault of their own! Amazing! She set me up and offered treats to my pup and I was on my way! The 2nd experience I had with them was I needed a special kitty litter crystals that show the health of your cat and they didn't carry the brand I normally get but they did recommend another brand that had the same thing. The manager was great and very accommodating to our needs and staying open until we arrived. We called about a product item inventory from the Fort Walton Beach, FL store (who was very helpful too) that had be recently sold out earlier in the day! The Pensacola store had the item in stock and kept the doors open for us to make the hour drive/commute the same evening of the inquiry, to pick up the desired merchandise! Overall friendly staff and service. Been purchasing dog, cat, and snake supplies (and snake food-mice/rats) from here for years. Pricing is reasonable especially when compared to other pet stores in pcola. Also, you don't have to sign a "release" form to purchase snake food. Petco makes you sign a form to buy mice/rats which is absolutely ridiculous. One negative...I wish their rewards program provided some sort of discount on the mice/rats. I spend hundreds each year on snake food and supplies, and it would be great if they recognized that reptile owners spend just as much on their pets as cat or dog owners. read more

Cannot say enough about this place and the manager. I love the buy 10 get one free offer for the dog food. Just be sure you stick with the same sized bag so your freeby doesn't get downsized. I did not like the VIP vetcare people that come there from Tallahassee. Please be aware that you still need a local vet for you furry friends care should they have a reaction to this poison they give. They will be long gone. They are NOT cheaper. They up-sell. I only wanted a booster shot for my new pup and apparently the gal is trained to up charge you and sell "packets". This upset me as my dog had one of the vaccines already and I felt that these little dogs kidneys have to filter out all these drugs. No wonder they wind up with ESRD and cancer. Their little bodies can't fight all these chemicals. I called the animal rescue and they were very emphatic that I only give my new pup what they wrote on the paper, no more, no less. The gal could not quote me a price for a booster shot. Guess we need to go informed and know how to speak for our animals. The titres for these vaccines last far longer in their bodies than the manufacturers recommend. read more

Worst service ever. I went to buy some fish for my daughter's aquarium for her birthday. The lady back there never asked if I needed anything and kept testing some water that seemed to take forever. I waited patiently for her to finish what she was doing. Finally she said "I'll be done in just a minute". Next thing I know she had diapered. I figured she had gone to wash her hands and would be back so I kept waiting. When she never returned I walked over to an isle to see if I could get some ones attention. There she was with the other 4 or 5 employees gossiping or whatever. I stood there until someone noticed and looked at me. I gave her a gesture most people would recognize as wanting help and went back to wait for one of them to assist, but no one came. I walked back out in the isle where they could see me again and they were still talking I waited until I was noticed by a couple of them, they looked right at me. I again gestured for help and went back to the aquatic department thinking I'd finally get some service, being the only customer in the store, and I could finally get what I wanted and get out since I' been there close to an hour now. When no one showed up again I was pretty irritated. I went back to the isle and stood there staring at them. They glanced at me a few times and kept on talking. Then they watched me walk right out. No "have a good day" or "did you find what you were looking for?" as they watched me leave. I guess that would have interrupted their chat. I went to a different pet store and paid twice the price for half the size fish I wanted and they didn't carry the other types of fish I wanted to get. I have been going to pet supermarket for a long time using their bathing stations and have had mostly positive experiences however last night I went to get a very quick shampoo bath after my dog had rolled in something absolutely filthy. I showed up at the store at 725 pm, yes the store closed at 8 pm but I was aware of this and for this reason, was only going to do a shampoo and did not need the blow dryers. The store was still full of customers at this time and I planned to be quick. When I walked into the store I was greeted by 3 staff members at the register. I asked which register was open and one staff member looked at me and she said "are you here for a bath?" all I could say is yes before she rolled her eyes in front of me and said "ugh" I was not even given time to explain or say that I would be very quick and out of there way before 8 pm. I have never received such rude service, especially from somewhere I visit often. I was very disappointed and just told the staff member never mind and to forget it. I will not be going back to this store or using their bathing station after this experience. That is no way to treat a customer. read more

Hello my name is Robert, my cat Boots died on 10/12/2014. Two weeks after he passed we got a kitten named Asher from Pet supermarket. He was an awesome kitten, very playful. We didn't realize it until we got home that he had trouble walking. The days went by and it got worse, to the point where if he fell out of his little bed he would meow until you put him back in it. We tried taking him back to pet supermarket, because we didn't know what to do. They said to us "We can't take him back, and we can't sell cats that have problems" Umm you sold us a cat with problems. So we waited 3 days and the cat stopped in drinking his water. The pet supermarket told us we would have to bring Asher to the humane society, so we took him there today and found out pet supermarket doesn't get their pets from THE humane society, they get their pets from Jr. Humane society. So we had the cat tested for everything today at the real humane society, 318$ to test him for everything, the cat was diagnosed with feline herpes in its eyes, Feline leukemia, hookworms, and a tumor in its neck. We just lost our first cat Boots, and today we had to have the kitten Asher Euthanized, because it was affecting his central nervous system and it was shutting down. DO NOT ADOPT ANY PET FROM PET SUPER MARKET!!!!! They do not give a shit, they do not test the animals for a fucking thing. read more
