Super friendly guys! It was my first time coming here and I was overwhelmed (in a good way!) by all the pet products they had. My dog used to eat Fromm food years ago when we lived in Austin and I haven't been able to find it anywhere in the four years I've lived in San Francisco. It's the best food around, especially for dogs like mine who have food allergies. Its grain free and full of vitamins and essential fatty acids to keep their hearts healthy and their coats shiny. They also have a cute selection of pet apparel that is Bay Area sports related. I couldn't resist buying my dog Phyllis and her best dog friend Ambar Warriors bandanas. The staff didn't follow me around or hound me (pun intended!) about needing help. When I was there the store owners had the police show up because apparently one of their regular customers was having some sort of a mental breakdown in the store for over an hour. They were very concerned about her well being and didn't want to have her arrested, so they requested an ambulance take her. This seems like a really great mom and pop shop that I will definitely be getting my dog food "FROMM" now on! read more

Wow I rarely see a 5-star business on Yelp! But seeing this one has 5 stars overall doesn't surprise me. The owner here really cares about his customers & our pets. They carry a huge variety of foods, toys, leashes, collars and more, and if they don't have it, they can see if they can special order it for you! I've bought my rabbit's food here for nearly 2 yrs now, and they are by far the cheapest anywhere. Petco charges almost DOUBLE what they charge here, and even compared to some other small local pet stores, I save $3-5 a bag here. Murphy, the owners dog, I think is bigger than me! He's such a sweetheart, my older son is really afraid of dogs, but despite this one being big enough to eat him haha, he loves Murphy because he is so gentle and friendly to everyone that comes into the store. And they welcome pets of all kinds. They also have a good return/exchange policy on pet food, if something isn't working you can go back & exchange at least half a bag for a new brand. read more

What more can we say? We have been coming here ever since the shop first opened and we have been non-stop recommending him to everyone that we know with pets. Prices are always great and the owners are awesome. Jonathan is very knowledgeable and really makes us feel like friends of the store as opposed to just another customer. He remembers everything we share with him about our dog and he has seen her blossom and grow healthier ever since we rescued her from her sad past. We can't get enough of Murphy either - he is a giant teddy bear and the best ambassador a pet store could hope to have. Whenever we get a new product from Pet's Corner, they ask us how we like it when we next return. One time we got an easy-walker and when we next came in, he noticed that it ran a little loose and promptly offered to order her a better fitting size to exchange it. We live in the outer avenues and we definitely have multiple options to stop at a closer store as we head to Pet's Corner. I'm a little late in reviewing this but I just had to compliment this place. As a long time B&B customer myself, I just haven't gotten over the change in ownership from the sweet elderly Asian couple who had to retire and sold their business to the newer Texas couple. Now to be fair, they are still knowledgeable and do their own share of rescue work, (they rescued two huskies from sled dog rescue) however, I have to agree that they aren't the warmest or friendliest of folks. Now Pet's Corner recently opened near my moms place on Arguello Blvd, just blocks from us and since it was so conveniently located, my husband and I decided to come in and browse around. Immediately, Jonathan, the owner, greeted us along with his friendly Bernese Mountain dog. I inquired about the Orijen dog food they carried and that immediately sparked a conversation about the quality of pet foods in most pet stores these days. I was quite delighted to find that he was just as knowledgeable about humane grade and holistic pet food as I was. I was also very pleasantly surprised to know that Orijen has actually flown out to hold a meeting about their product with the owner. Overall, I would definitively chose to shop here over many other pet stores and here's why; Quality is outstanding, customer service is excellent, the owner is knowledgeable about pet nutrition without being pushy or trying to force a sale on you and the prices are very competitive and much lower than you would find elsewhere. I love this pet store. The products they carry here are organic and healthy for dogs and cats (I'm not sure if they carry other pet supplies for animals such as birds, hamsters, etc. I haven't checked). I like to feed my dog and kittens organic food instead of the big name brands like Pedigree and Friskies. The two women I have interacted with that work here have always been very helpful and friendly when I have come in. They answered all my questions about cat litter and dog food which showed me they were actually knowledgeable in the products they were selling, unlike some other pet stores I've been to in the area. The owner of the shop even have a big Burmese Mountain dog hanging out in the shop sometimes. He's such a gently giant! (I think it's a he). The store keeps a water bowl outside for thirsty dogs that pass which is a nice gesture. I can even bring my dog inside and let her choose a toy she likes. The prices are reasonable too for the type of quality food, treats, and accessories they carry. They didn't have the type of food my dog likes a few months back and told me they could order it no problem and have it there in a couple days. Awesome! Cute shop, nice staff, and organic goodies for your pet. I recommend this place for sure! The one thing to remember is they are CLOSED on Mondays. read more

10 stars wouldn't give this place justice. I'm no stranger to dogs, but I had my hands FULL when i started bringing up my new/first Rhodesian ridgeback puppy. Pet stores are a dime a dozen around the bay area and i was starting to lose hope as I could never find a right "feel" at any of the stores I went into. Either the service was lousy and the prices were good or the prices were to high and the service was good. I know I cant always have my cake and eat it, but i totally am right now. Johnny has been the only one who has helped me and i'm pretty sure it's his store, man is that guy awesome. Totally hands on, totally on top of his stuff and even when other customers came in i still had his full attention (turns out people just came off the street to say "hi" to him and his dog). I walked out of there with real bones/marrow for much needed down time, a new trick "touch" safe/pain free harness, healthy and CHEAP food -(wow 20% higher price's up the street at pet food express). Not to mention there is a 24 hour pet hospital across the street - pretty much a one stop shop. I will ONLY come back here for pet supplies read more

A few months ago, boyfriend and I adopted a rascally little 5 month old pup as first time dog owners. Pet's Corner is literally around the corner from us, and has been an invaluable resource since day one. Jonathan and Angie are great! They are knowledgeable about animals and make a real effort to get to know each customer (and their owner) personally. They even organize morning dog walks through Fort Funston on a regular basis. We'll be moving to Oakland next week and will all miss this place very much. They inspire loyalty in their customers, and that's worth a trip back across the bridge. read more

Love this pet shop! Nice big selection, including my dog's sometimes hard to find Wellness Healthy Weight for small breeds. Plus! So many of her favorite GoDog toys! I had to get her yet another dinosaur. She acted shy about it in the store but went crazy (as per usual) on the (almost but not quite) indestructible toy once we got home. This is not the kind of neighborhood pet store where the owner just blindly buys "10 of everything" or, conversely, one that carries a few select items and then charges double mark-up. Jonathan thoughtfully chooses his inventory and even does extensive research, if he hasn't heard of the product before, to make sure it's safe and healthy. And beyond that and, for what is akin to a "mom & pop" store, the prices are outstanding. There are very few pet stores like this that really give you the value for the money. And Jonathan is truly THE NICEST GUY, I always enjoy seeing him, as I do his gorgeous big fluffy dog Murphy. Selections may not be as diverse as the other pet stores but the products they do carry are mostly the ones I think conscientious pet owners buy who care as much as I do what they feed their pet. We've talked to them and they DO know their products, what's in them and where they come from and the different companies and overall miscellaneous pet health questions. I love Pet's Corner. I was really happy when they opened the Geary/Arguello location. It is very convenient for me. They have a great selection and great prices. I am an Amazon shopper, but Pet's Corner consistently has better prices, so I go there. My dog absolutely loves this place too. We cannot walk by without going in. Mogwai, my Alaska Klee Kai, and I walk by Pet's Corner often on our longer walks around the parks near midtown. We finally stopped in (admittedly because I needed to use the restroom), and I'm glad we did. Mogwai got to play off leash with Murphy, she never gets to go off leash because of her husky instincts, but the owners were very good at watching and making sure all was well. Great little local pet store with a ton of healthy pet food options! The boyfriend was the one who found Pet's Corner on a day we were in a rush to buy some wet food for our dog. It's a nice little shop that has pretty much everything you need from wet and dry food to treats, shampoos and leashes. The owner, whom I gather is named Jonathan from the other reviews, and other workers are always pleasant and ask if we need any help. Not much good to say about this place..parking is horrendous. If your very lucky you can circle the block and get a spot close. I went to this shop when they first opened and haven't been back since.. Though I've come by because they are close to the Vet that I take my dog too. They have a nice selection of products albeit higher priced than a local shop. They are knowledgeable and friendly. I only wished I could give them a higher rating but only time will tell for me with this shop. They are catering to a niche and I'm a general use. As I said they are close to my vets office so I will continue to browse here but I'll shop with the ones with the best price. read more

I love this place, and Muscles and OrangeCat love the treats we bring home from here. They carry a large line of hard-to-find brands of food; everything from the McDonalds end of the spectrum to the Michael Mina of cat foods. They carry tons of toys, which is good because cats like a new toy for all of about....5 minutes before returning to playing with dangling stereo wires and stray crumpled paper balls. We also get our Pssssst can refills here (sorry Muscles, but you make some poor choices sometimes with regards to occupying off-limits places like the kitchen counter). This is our one-stop shop for pretty much everything our cats need. They have just about everything for your dog, cat or small pet at extremely reasonable prices. And if they don't have it, they'll order it for you. The owner has done this for us many times, and he's always got the latest info on the brands he carries. When I first got my dog, I had no clue where to go besides places like PetSmart, Petco and etc. My brother lives near Pet's Corner and we would walk past here when we would go out to eat. One day, my boyfriend and I decided to go inside to see what it was all about. For a small pet store like this, it actually has great deals and Jonathan was extremely informational and personable. He related to all the things we were going through as first time pet owners and he introduced us to all different types of dog foods, treats and accessories needed for a giant pup to be.
