Pretty good spot to park for the night. It's pretty quite. The showers are pretty decent and clean, to say it's a Petro.

Soda, tea, smoothies, slushies, coffee. Ordering was confusing for me but I'm sure that's a me thing. We came through in the afternoon on a Monday. The dining area could have used a broom and mop. Restrooms were decent. I have to give a shoutout to the cashier who was so patient with me. I really do think they could use some signage to tell you where to go and what to do. But this will continue to be my go to when I travel to DC From Charlotte!

Our experience at this Sheetz was OK. This Sheetz is located in a busy area. It was crowded during…read moreour visit on a Sunday around 3:45pm. I got lucky and was able to pull up to a pump immediately. By that time, all 16 pumps were taken and there were cars lined up waiting for several of them. It felt like Costco. I had just stuck the nozzle in when a car pulled up behind me. I've never seen a Sheetz so busy (except for when they ran their $1.776 per gallon promotion on July 4, 2023). The gas prices were average. They beat the prices at the Shell I went to the day before in Chapel Hill. This Sheetz is located just off I-85 / I-40 exit 154: NC 119 - Mebane. This is the same exit for the Tanger Outlets and there are a bunch of big-box stores (e.g., Walmart) and fast food chains nearby. Good for Sheetz, but if you're looking for a more-relaxed pit stop along the interstate between the Triangle and the Triad, there are better options: https://www.yelp.com/collection/Ey266j_8lAHk7iQLDODC9g/Carolinas-I-85-Corridor Note: On this concurrency (overlapped stretch) of I-85 and I-40 in North Carolina, the I-85 exit numbers prevail. Those exit numbers are 131 to 163, west to east. The I-40 exit numbers temporarily "stop" between exits 227 and 259 (i.e., the aforementioned exits 131-163 occur during that stretch). This is the only Sheetz in Mebane. Store #380.

Pilot Travel Center - Outside. This Pilot has 20 pumps. A McDonald's restaurant is attached to the convenience store. I-85/I-40 exit 152.

I am also happy that they have a Cinnabon. the only problems are that the snack charges are high. you can find some of the same snacks cheaper at stores like Walmart and Walgreens. Also, the gas prices are average. I am also happy that Megabus picked this stop. I would recommend this stop to my family and friends when they travel.

It's just off I-40/I-85 exit 152 (Trollingwood Road) in Mebane, so it's in a convenient location if you're traveling between the Triangle and the Triad. Note: On this concurrency (overlapped stretch) of I-40 and I-85 in North Carolina, the I-85 exit numbers prevail. Those exits are 131-163. The gas station is spacious with 20 pumps and the convenience store features both a Cinnabon inside and a McDonald's restaurant attached. Not bad. There's plenty of parking. This is a truck stop too and there are showers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sp8dV5oAtxg. I used pump #9 and it cut off early on me twice. I ended up leaving without a full tank of gas, which was kind of annoying. "Pilot Travel Centers" and "Pilot Flying J" are one in the same. Pilot bought out Flying J in 2010. Pilot chairman Jimmy Haslam, son of Pilot founder Jim Haslam, owns the Cleveland Browns.
