This Shell location does not mess around. They're my go to spot for reasonable and fair gas prices, a good selection of snacks, and most importantly, their coffee. I walk by 10 coffee places on my morning walks passing them on my way to this Shell. That says a lot. The secret here is to fill your cup up 1/4 to 1/3 of the way with hot chocolate, then fill the rest with freshly brewed coffee and enjoy. It hits. Be sure to put these guys on the map and give them your business. It's not often in this town you find clean and well maintained gas pumps, ones where you don't feel like you need to burn off your hand skin with bleach after filling your vehicle. The smiles and customer service only add on, giving this place a true 5 star experience.

What Trinity Food Mart has got going for it is being the only convenient store located…read moredowntown--specifically by the DIY district. Since I have family that live within a three minute walk to Trinity Food Mart, I have been there several times more then the average person. Trinity Food Mart is where it's at for wine and beer in a pinch, although prices are $2-$3 above most (for example, a six-pack of HopNosh will run $10.59 where you can usually find it for $8.99) but you really can't beat the convenience. So, if you're in a pinch for adult beverages and are headed into North Durham, Trinity Food Mart is the perfect place to stop. They also have milk, bread and the assortment of gas station snacks (although NO half & half!) They've also gotten rid of their 9th Street Bakery goods--so sad! According to the man on staff when I asked, 9th Street is selling to other companies now. So you won't be able to pick up a local cookie or muffin but you can still pick up a banana or a cliff bar!
