    Shrimp Plate

Hands down the BEST food we ate in the Virgin Islands - so delicious that we ate here twice in one day. If we had found this place earlier in the trip, we probably would have incorporated it into each day if we could. It's a small little stall just off Coki Beach. They give you the food to go, so you can bring it to the beach tThere's no menu, and the options are what she made that day. The day we were there, it was between a fish, a shrimp, and a chicken plate, and each one came with delicious, dish-specific sides. She also makes her own hot sauce (and it is HOT), and it's some of the best hot sauce we've had so you definitely have to try it. You must try this while in the Virgin Islands. It will leave you wishing you had one at home.

Top- fried fish and Johnny cakes Bottom- curry chicken, rice, potatoes, plantains, mixed veggies.

The best we had on the trip. 100% authentic Caribbean food. If you visit coki beach, this is a must try spot. But go before she sells out. The food is beyond flavorful and the prices are beyond reasonable. Especially for anywhere in this area. The fried snapper was our favorite!

Best food option at Coki beach - Dushi's offers more flavorful and authentic food compared to any of the standard beachfront grills. It's located on the road that leads up to the beach, not on the beachfront. The one "problem" is that there isn't a posted menu, and you basically get whatever she has available :D My husband got this massive platter of stewed chicken, corn, rice, and pasta salad all for just $10! He ate every last bit of it and said it was amazing!

First time visiting the beach in Saint Thomas and the locals brought me to Petra's and said this a must try! Well they were NOT wrong! The fish was fresh and she was amazingly warm and friendly. Can't wait to come back!

Almost forgot to take a picture before digging into it, lol

Absolutely love the fish and jack bread, must stop by and experience this delicious dish. Everyday she has different things, but I definitely recommend it!!

Bring plenty of cash (it's often cash-only or prefers it), and yeah, it can run a tad pricey for authentic Caribbean eats, but the payoff's huge: think phenomenal steamed red snapper, tender oxtail, creole chicken, and classic roti made with fresh, home-cooked love . The fun starts with the hunt itself out in the middle of nowhere vibes then bam, you're there, often with the place to yourself like we did late one night. Only one other couple rolled in mid-meal, decked out head-to-toe as Thing One and Thing Two from Dr. Seuss first-grade ridiculous, but it cracked us up and straight-up made my night. Five-star gem for genuine island flavor, quirky charm, and memories that stick worth every twist and turn to get there!

In a place where highly priced restaurant dot the island, The Chicken Fry is a great spot to pick up lunch and dinner (no tables) and fill your beach/work hunger. We had 3 big plate orders of stewed chicken, white rice, and yellow plantains, also comes with a side of beans. The chicken was moist and juicy especially with the savory sauce it was cooked with, the rice wasn't dry, the plantains ripe and well cooked, and the beans were seasoned and spiced just right. Service was friendly, fast even with the constant influx of people coming in. Fresh food was coming from the kitchen even by 745pm. The interior is simple, no frills, and well lit. We parked our car on the street and it took us less than 10 min to get our order. The road may seem sketchy to outsiders especially at nighttime but we had no problems finding the place. Would come back to try more of their food and would recommend! Small plates are around $8-9, and big plates start from around $12. Our big plate with the stewed chicken. Rice, plantains and a side of beans were $12 each. Oxtail big plate is $18 . Cash and credit cards accepted.

One day we were over at Coki Beach catching some rays and swimming while enjoying some drinks on the beach when we both got hungry. I said, "Let's go try Uncle Buddy's! It's literally 50 feet away." It's such a vibey little open aired space right on the water with beautiful views. The lady and her son who own the place were super friendly and welcoming. She had her son whip my gf up an amazing cocktail which we both shared and loved plus I had to enjoy a Presidente beer as well. When in Rome :) We ordered a platter that came with fried plantains, rice and beans, fried shrimp, and salad. We also ordered a fish sandwich. All of it was to die for! Excellent! Chefs Kiss :D I love this place and I love hard working people who go out of their way to make sure you are happy. I'll come back again and again while in St. Thomas. Thank you for the amazing food and drinks :) Enjoy!

The Vessup especially stood out, the cream on top was so smooth and delicious and just made the whole drink. They brought out fresh bread to start and it was so good (always a win in my book). For dinner, we went with the lobster with potato and broccolini and it was incredible. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were just on point. Between the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service, this was easily one of our favorite dinners on the trip. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for something a little nicer but still with that island feel.
