We wanted to make sure we tried some good food while visiting found this place & decided to give them a try. We came & we're seated right away drinks just water since we needed an alcohol break. I had the Roasted chicken, Mac & cheese & the dumplings , really good chicken & mac nice flavor , taste to the meat. The dumplings ok for me. Hubby had the blackened Salmon with veggies, mash potatoes & dumplings salmon was very good, good veggies & mash potatoes. Cute little place, simple decor good service & prices we had a great meal certainly worth the try.

Everytime I come home a visit a stop here is a must. Getting some island food into my system immediately helps make the hours on airplanes worth it. I recommend everything. You just have to know your tastebuds and what you are craving that day. I usually go with the oxtail, but this time I went with the mutton. Next time it might be something else. Also you must try a local drink. I usually always go for passion fruit or sorrel, but once again you have to know what you are feeling. Service is quick, but parking can get tricky sometimes.

This place was amazing. It felt like a real local restaurant. when I receive my food, I couldn't stop eating it It was so tasty I finished everything The service was fast and easy it was quick food, but we ran into a problem charging the credit cards. They do a 4% charge on cards I found that very sketchy and the business trying to beat the tax system or something. Cash was a no extra charge.

After speaking to a local, we came here for some authentic Caribbean food! I had the oxtail with the stuffing, Mac and cheese and fried plantains. My husband had the porkchops. We also had the homemade juice. The food was amazing! This is what we had been wanting our entire trip! It was filling and a taste of St. Thomas! The juice was good too but very expensive. Looked like each cup of juice was $4 each and we got 2 cups each. The bill was a little high for our 2 meals and the drinks but our stomachs were satisfied. Go to Arian's for authentic island food!

A short ways off the beaten trail of cruise ship visitors, Arian's is a local place serving down home local dishes. They were open 11-4 for lunch when we were there and they were jammed with locals, blue collar and professionals alike. We were the only tourists in the place, but they treated us like king and queen. My wife had the kingfish with all the Caribbean spices. It was very good. I had the conch in butter sauce. It tasted great, like scallops cooked in butter. The Mac and cheese was also very good. If you are in St Thomas and you want a nice seafood meal away from the tourists, give Arian's a try. We really enjoyed it.

Happy Friday...early start to the weekend...let's eat good...

I got 2 plates for $30 and it's so much quality food. Macaroni and cheese came out fresh and it was soooooo good. Major hit. The wings both were so good as well as the stewed chicken. In a place where highly priced restaurant dot the island, The Chicken Fry is a great spot to pick up lunch and dinner (no tables) and fill your beach/work hunger. We had 3 big plate orders of stewed chicken, white rice, and yellow plantains, also comes with a side of beans. The chicken was moist and juicy especially with the savory sauce it was cooked with, the rice wasn't dry, the plantains ripe and well cooked, and the beans were seasoned and spiced just right. Service was friendly, fast even with the constant influx of people coming in. Fresh food was coming from the kitchen even by 745pm. The interior is simple, no frills, and well lit. We parked our car on the street and it took us less than 10 min to get our order. The road may seem sketchy to outsiders especially at nighttime but we had no problems finding the place. Would come back to try more of their food and would recommend! Small plates are around $8-9, and big plates start from around $12. Our big plate with the stewed chicken. Rice, plantains and a side of beans were $12 each. Oxtail big plate is $18 . Cash and credit cards accepted.

We made a reservation, but honestly it didn't seem totally necessary when we went. From the moment we sat down, the staff was on top of everything and so friendly. The Vessup especially stood out, the cream on top was so smooth and delicious and just made the whole drink. They brought out fresh bread to start and it was so good (always a win in my book). For dinner, we went with the lobster with potato and broccolini and it was incredible. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were just on point. Between the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service, this was easily one of our favorite dinners on the trip. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for something a little nicer but still with that island feel.

The guy helping run the truck, originally from Florida, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He took time to chat with us, told us more about the food truck, showed us a nice nearby spot to sit and eat, and even introduced us to his nephew who also helps run the truck. On my first visit I tried the oxtails, mac & cheese, and passion fruit juice. They were out of the beef patties and rice & peas because it was a busy cruise day, but he promised to save us some for the next day -- and he actually did! We came back the following day and sure enough, he had beef patties waiting for us. The oxtails were honestly some of the best I've ever had super flavorful and tender. The mac & cheese was amazing, and the beef patties were very filling. I ordered two and could barely finish one. The passion fruit juice was a little sweet for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. If I'm ever back in St. Thomas or Fort Lauderdale, I'll definitely be visiting again. The food and hospitality were just that good!

We were immediately and graciously greeted by our hostess/server/bartender all-in-one Tiffany. She had the most charismatic personality and smile. I loved her energy! She explained the menu to us first timers and she even brought us complimentary drinks to try! The menu basically featured an array of proteins (chicken, shrimp, wings, salmon, etc) and sauces (jerk, creole, teriyaki, and the special shama sauce) you can pair it with. Sadly they no longer serve curry goat and they were out of oxtail the day we went. Each order also comes with choice of 2 sides. I ordered the jerk salmon with side of rice and peas and plantains. My salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I loved the slightly peppery spice from the jerk seasoning. The plantains were delicious. The rice was a little dry for my taste but went well with my salmon. My fiancé got the wings in shama sauce and this was SO GOOD. Would recommend. He also got a massive portion order of macaroni and cheese. They definitely make sure you don't leave hungry here. My friend got the shrimp and it was nicely seasoned as well. Prices were very reasonable for the portion. Everything was so plentiful! I had enough leftovers for a second meal. The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is the ambiance. The decor is very bare bone and feels like much more of a take out place than somewhere you would go for a nice lunch. There's also two TVs and they blast the sound here which can be very distracting when your group is trying to have a conversation. The bathroom could also use some TLC. Otherwise, the service and food was definitely a 5 stars experience for me. Would gladly return next time I'm in Saint Thomas!
