Pricing was very competitive. Alex and his crew did a fantastic job installing my deck stairs and porch, they are beautifully done and very sturdy. Far better than what we had before. They were there within 2 days of hire and completed the work within 2 days. We told them not to paint but Alex threw in paint for just the cost of materials, which was nice. Although, I wish I had some say on the color since they didn't ask beforehand and I would have loved a natural stain instead. The crew was very kind, they'd even bring my packages into the garage for me and make sure to close the garage door when they were done. The work is sturdy, done right, and I feel confident will last. My only point of advice is to just be more mindful of the garden. I had just purchased and planted 6 new plants and had a succulent ground cover I had been working to grow out for years. It was all so trampled I thought maybe they had dug it out at first. It would have been nice to get warning so I could dig it up myself (since it was fresh planted) or for them to step around it. Overall, I'd definitely hire GAB again (and likely will to finish our deck soon) and will reccomend them to friends and family. I thought the estimate was fair and appropriate for the cost of the materials, the demo, and the labor. A lot of the other contractors were giving me ridiculously low bids, which I knew were shady and they hadn't measured the area. They came within a few days in same day. I had a new, completely rebuilt dock, which is fabulous. They kept the area clean while they were working, and I barely knew they were there, totally respectful. I am so happy to have my dock back so that I can play on the lake.

I see that there's a "not recommended" review here that sounds a lot like my experience -- I'm not…read moresure how that review got squashed but my experience on a bathroom remodel was very much the same. We worked primarily with David. In the initial stages, I asked a lot of questions and every time I had concerns the answer was the same: "If you're not happy, we'll fix it until you are." But then none of the products we wanted were in stock, they pushed us to choose something else. What's more, when we agreed with the bathtub they recommended one the one we chose, the one they recommended was $500 cheaper. Did we get that discount? No. They kept it. There were things we discussed at the initial walkthrough that suddenly were not in the contract (which is online and very difficult to read, and also I suspect they can change it after it's signed), so we got upcharged for everything. When the end product was installed incorrectly David started trying to gaslight us that it was the product, not the installation, and said that if we wanted it redone he'd cover the labor (which I'm assuming means he wouldn't pay his laborers), but we would have to purchase all the replacement products. If you choose to go with them, which I would not, but if you do, get the initial consultation on video so there's no question of what was included. Tell them you will pay for the products and you only want labor, so they can't upcharge all the materials or use cheaper products that they hide inside the walls. Create a contract of your own that you have them sign, that includes what the finished product will be and what is acceptable and what is not. Ensure that if there is extra product (flooring or whatever) you are the one who returns it for credit, or if they return it, you get credit. There are so many other things that went wrong, but this is enough. Literally there's not a single day where I don't wish I'd never heard of them.
