It makes it easy to find the different animal sections. They carry excellent brands including my favorite pet brand, Fromm. They have a great selection, enough to choose from but not too many where it becomes overwhelming. Note the parking lot can get busy so there is also street parking available on Midvale Blvd. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. I brought my dog in a few months ago and was looking to change up her food. They offered me many samples and explained their return policy. If you open a large bag of food and your dog doesn't like it, you can return it. So don't be scared to try new food for your pets, they will take back open bags. They also have canned food, fresh dried food, and frozen food options for both cats and dogs. One of my favorite items in the store are these cute cat beds that look like a big mitten. They are locally made in the Madison area. My dog's favorite section is the bones. I discovered these cool bones that are considered cheese chews. It takes awhile for my dog to chew through this bone but once she does you can put the last bit of the bone in the microwave and it turns into a treat. I love discovering these new items when I visit Nutzy Mutz. And of course I love being greeted by their friendly store cat!

I can't look into the "animals" section anymore -- it just seems like they are so unhappy and I want to rescue them all away from there. The rooms are windowless and the air is just trapped. When I visited during COVID-19, they didn't have animals, which I think is a good thing. When we last came in, our cashier struggled to give us correct change and I had to ask her for more money back because she had miscounted. Not a big deal, but just not great. The staff were really nice and wore masks and were keeping a safe distance. There were two adorable kittens who obviously make everything wonderful. The store is always clean and stocked. We love buying local from Madison cat toy makers (like TacoCat). We really missed MadCat! They do call ahead, pick ups and in-store shopping. Masks are required for customers.
