The food was so good it left wanting more! The service was great they were so kind. It so clean in there.

When I heard there were fresh hand-rolled pretzels in town, I had to give Petoskey Pretzel Co. a try. I've only ever had pretzels from Auntie Anne's or Wetzel's, so this was a delicious upgrade. The small shop was packed, clearly a local favorite. I stopped in right after a workout to fuel the gains. I grabbed the cheese Pretza and the classic cinnamon sugar, both were phenomenal, especially the cinnamon one as a dessert. If you're anywhere near Petoskey, this spot is a must-try for pretzel lovers and newbies alike. Fantastic, fresh soft pretzels. Arrived on a Friday afternoon to this-- literal-- hole in the wall shop, and watched them making pretzels as we considered our selection. Don't plan to eat inside. There is room for maybe three people, tops, to stand between the door and the counter. One original pretzel was a fine afternoon snack for two people-- and a great warm up on a cold day. Don't expect a very traditional German soft pretzel. These are more like buttery, flaky croissants. IF WE HAD KNOWN THEY WERE MAKING CROISSANT-LIKE PRETZELS UP HERE, WE WOULD HAVE PACKED MORE STUFF AND JUST MOVED TO PETOSKEY! The friendly counter staff recommended the garlic cream cheese dip, and it did not disappoint. But honestly, the pretzel did not need any accompaniment. No doubt we'll be back. read more

This is hands down my favorite pretzel place and I am so sad that I live four hours away from it! I was reunited this past weekend when my husband and I took a overnight trip to Petoskey to celebrate our one year anniversary. I'm not a pretzel fan but this is the only place in town that has Frostys (a slushie) of which I am a fan. So when wife and grandkids want pretzel dogs I have a frosty. I enjoy it while everyone else has pretzels. The service has always been great. During summer the staff is usually young people. Glad they give them summer jobs. I was so excited to try this place out, since soft pretzels are one of my favorite guilty pleasures!! It's not too often when you can find a place that is not located in a mall or at a sports arena, so when I discovered this, I knew I had to go. The inside of the shop smells absolutely amazing. I ordered two pretzels to split- an original, and a frankfurter. Both of them were so hot, fresh, and tasted incredible. Tried this place for the first time and it will FOR SURE not be the last time! My husband and I tried an original pretzel with cheese and a pepperoni pretzel with marinara sauce. The pretzels were sooooooooo tasty! They weren't firm or hard, like some pretzels are. These were soft and "plush"... seriously so good! The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star review is because of the time it took to get our pretzels. It seemed like there were only 2 people working at the time (I know staffing can be hard right now due to COVID)... but we waited about 15 minutes to order our pretzels. And then the original pretzel wasn't ready yet (a new batch was just about to go in)... so, we waited another 15 minutes to get that pretzel. And you can't wait inside or anything because the shop is so small. So, we had to wait quite a long time out in the chilling cold. That was my only "complaint". Otherwise, AMAZING experience and we'll be back the next time we're in Petoskey! read more

We love it here. Been to both locations in Traverse City and Petoskey. Favorites are the cinnamon pretzel, the regular pretzel, and the frankfurter pretzel. I'm not a hot dog fan, but they are fantastic (from a local place in TC called Louie's Meats). Only one party is allowed in at a time, but the service is quick so it's no big deal. read more

Swung by on a whim and glad I did. My mom and I shared a few different menu items to make a picnic lunch: Pretzel Frankfurter (hotdog wrapped in a buttery original pretzel), cheese pretza (comes as a 2, cheese stick wrapped in a buttery pretzel) with marinara sauce, and a Cinnamon & Sugar pretzel (just like it sounds: buttery pretzel goodness coated in cinnamon and sugar). It sounds like a lot but it was perfect for us to share. I loved the cinnamon & sugar the best but mom preferred the cheese pretza. Honestly, it was all tasty and we'll be back! Michigan does not allow indoor dining due to Covid but even in normal times this cozy spot doesn't have room for eating in. The covid precautions are good and being followed. Delicious homemade pretzels and great service! It's fun to watch them make pretzels right in the window when you walk up. They follow COVID protocols very well with mask wearing, hand sanitizer, and limited guests in the lobby. Super easy to order online and pick up your order in ~10-15 minutes. We ordered the pepperoni pretzel and cheddar jalapeño and devoured them immediately - SO delicious. Thank you to Petosky Pretzel for the delicious snacks and keeping us safe during COVID. We were in from out of town for a softball tournament and stopped in here a couple of times! Loved the pretzels, staff was friendly and great! Would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a soft pretzel. There are even a number of different options and sauces which we didn't try, but had we been in town a couple more days I would have definitely tried the hot dog wrapped in a pretzel! If you're in town at the ball field, do yourself a favor and head up the steps to downtown and you'll fall right into the arms of Petoskey Pretzel - great for a between games snack! read more

$7.00 for a COLD pretzel dog is not worth it! Cheese inside was like a hard cheese cube. Seriously, a microwave takes a few seconds to operate. Use it. Every time we'd be in Petoskey, there were lines out of the door at this place. We finally decided to venture in when the wait wasn't as long. They had free samples of all the different types of pretzels Incase you're indecisive. We went with the original and it was fantastic. It differed from the taste of a normal soft pretzel. Ive never had a homemade soft pretzel and I don't think I can ever go back. It tasted like a pastry. They also do daily algebra problems which is fun. If I could give this place more than five stars I would, it was that good. read more

Great little shop with amazing pretzels and sauces! A friend recommended we stop here and glad we did. I got to enjoy a regular pretzel with the "atomic mustard" sauce. I was warned that the sauce would be extremely hot but I found it very enjoyable. The only downside of Petoskey Pretzel is the small entry - when a lot of customers are there it gets very claustrophobic. Overall, great experience - amazing food and quality service! Wow! Their pepperoni pretza is phenomenal!! It is pepperoni and mozzarella rolled in a pretzel casing and it is so good that we took a bite and immediately realized we needed another! We got the jalapeño popper dip with it which was also delicious, but unnecessary since it was so good on its own! The staff was also super friendly! read more

If you want to find the best soft pretzel in northwest Michigan, look no further. Our whole group, ages 18 months to 69 years, loved these pretzels. We tried the cinnamon sugar and the plain and couldn't get enough. The perfect amount of salt and buttery goodness. They were taking great safety precautions and the employees were super nice. I was extremely hungry and was let down with the pretzels at Petoskey Pretzel. I got the Frankfurter which is a hot dog wrapped in pretzel. The hot dog was rubbery and the pretzel was dry. Finally, the cinnamon sugar pretzel was very dense and luke warm. If pretzels are fresh from the oven they are probably much better but looked as if pretzel was sitting out for over an hour. read more

The amazingly friendly lady who baked the pretzels on the cold winter day when I visited was so excited to give me samples. Wow... EVERYTHING I sampled was tasty. The warm pretzels reminded me of croissants... lightly buttery and chewy on the exterior and soft on the inside. Truly perfection. Petoskey Pretzel offers sweet and savory spices and dips. As a spicy food lover, I was torn between the jalapeno cheese topping and the jalapeno cream cheese. I went with a plain pretzel with jalapeno cream cheese. Two days in a row. While our family loves Petoskey Pretzel we had an occasion to stop by today, 6/4 around 5pm, after placing an online order for 2 pepperoni and 2 cheese sticks w marinara sauce only to discover we had received 4 pepperoni sticks with sauce. Not a big deal but, after we consumed our snack we were still in the area so stopped by to report the order was filled incorrectly. We just wanted to let them know so it wouldn't happen to another customer. The woman who had made the order argued with me that the order was not incorrect. I responded that I knew what my family ate and all 4 sticks were pepperoni. She then turned to a coworker and seemed to place blame that someone mixed up the display of cheese and pepperoni sticks. Never was an apology offered. We'll be hard pressed to return which is too bad because they make a decent product. read more
