When I heard there were fresh hand-rolled pretzels in town, I had to give Petoskey Pretzel Co. a try. I've only ever had pretzels from Auntie Anne's or Wetzel's, so this was a delicious upgrade. The small shop was packed, clearly a local favorite. I stopped in right after a workout to fuel the gains. I grabbed the cheese Pretza and the classic cinnamon sugar, both were phenomenal, especially the cinnamon one as a dessert. If you're anywhere near Petoskey, this spot is a must-try for pretzel lovers and newbies alike. Bad service and attitude among staff. Great pretzel, not worth the 20+ minute wait for 2, complete chaos, and zero communication.

The food was so good it left wanting more! The service was great they were so kind. It so clean in there.

After a few hours of shopping, I was just looking to grab a quick soda--and ended up treating myself to one of their original hot pretzels. Totally hit the spot! Tasted a lot like Auntie Anne's... and I'm not mad about it. Yum! read more

Fantastic, fresh soft pretzels. Arrived on a Friday afternoon to this-- literal-- hole in the wall shop, and watched them making pretzels as we considered our selection. Don't plan to eat inside. There is room for maybe three people, tops, to stand between the door and the counter. One original pretzel was a fine afternoon snack for two people-- and a great warm up on a cold day. Don't expect a very traditional German soft pretzel. These are more like buttery, flaky croissants. IF WE HAD KNOWN THEY WERE MAKING CROISSANT-LIKE PRETZELS UP HERE, WE WOULD HAVE PACKED MORE STUFF AND JUST MOVED TO PETOSKEY! The friendly counter staff recommended the garlic cream cheese dip, and it did not disappoint. But honestly, the pretzel did not need any accompaniment. No doubt we'll be back. read more

Great little snack spot close to the waterfront! Love the little shaded sitting area as well.

Loved our pretzels as usual on our yearly trip to the area. The battery in my car was dead and I mentioned if anyone knew of someone I could get to jump it. Jordynne offered to have her boyfriend come and jump us. We appreciated it so much. It was so nice to see such kindness in this crazy world we live in. Thank you!! Kelly read more

Consistently excellent, tasty product. Fast, helpful service. Must visit every trip to Petoskey. read more

Best pretzels ever! I highly recommend this pretzel place...Great staff that are always working hard.

This is hands down my favorite pretzel place and I am so sad that I live four hours away from it! I was reunited this past weekend when my husband and I took a overnight trip to Petoskey to celebrate our one year anniversary. He fell in love with it as well and though I can say the locals of Petoskey are not the nicest, everyone here was super friendly and kind. I got the classic this time with cheddar dip and my husband opted for two pizza pretzas. We will always stop by if we are passing through or nearby! I love it so much read more

Anytime we see soft pretzels we usually have to try them. When we passed by this little quaint shop it was no exception. Service was quick and prompt and the pretzels were some of the best we've had. Plenty of dips and beverage selection too. Can't wait to go back. read more

THE BEST pretzels that you'll ever have. The original, the cinnamon, whatever sauce, etc. Cannot go wrong. We thought Ben's Pretzels in Indiana were amazing. They are, but they don't touch these. These are in another stratosphere. 10/10 read more

Love this place! Always good and fresh. The high schoolers pretty much run it and you can see the items being made.

I'm not a pretzel fan but this is the only place in town that has Frostys (a slushie) of which I am a fan. So when wife and grandkids want pretzel dogs I have a frosty. I enjoy it while everyone else has pretzels. The service has always been great. During summer the staff is usually young people. Glad they give them summer jobs. I highly recommend this small business. After all I really like Frostees! read more

I was so excited to try this place out, since soft pretzels are one of my favorite guilty pleasures!! It's not too often when you can find a place that is not located in a mall or at a sports arena, so when I discovered this, I knew I had to go. The inside of the shop smells absolutely amazing. I ordered two pretzels to split- an original, and a frankfurter. Both of them were so hot, fresh, and tasted incredible. I loved both so much to the point that I was sad when I finished my half of each. Cannot wait to visit again on my next trip up north! Definitely a must! read more

Tried this place for the first time and it will FOR SURE not be the last time! My husband and I tried an original pretzel with cheese and a pepperoni pretzel with marinara sauce. The pretzels were sooooooooo tasty! They weren't firm or hard, like some pretzels are. These were soft and "plush"... seriously so good! The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star review is because of the time it took to get our pretzels. It seemed like there were only 2 people working at the time (I know staffing can be hard right now due to COVID)... but we waited about 15 minutes to order our pretzels. And then the original pretzel wasn't ready yet (a new batch was just about to go in)... so, we waited another 15 minutes to get that pretzel. And you can't wait inside or anything because the shop is so small. So, we had to wait quite a long time out in the chilling cold. That was my only "complaint". Otherwise, AMAZING experience and we'll be back the next time we're in Petoskey! read more

We love it here. Been to both locations in Traverse City and Petoskey. Favorites are the cinnamon pretzel, the regular pretzel, and the frankfurter pretzel. I'm not a hot dog fan, but they are fantastic (from a local place in TC called Louie's Meats). Only one party is allowed in at a time, but the service is quick so it's no big deal. read more

Swung by on a whim and glad I did. My mom and I shared a few different menu items to make a picnic lunch: Pretzel Frankfurter (hotdog wrapped in a buttery original pretzel), cheese pretza (comes as a 2, cheese stick wrapped in a buttery pretzel) with marinara sauce, and a Cinnamon & Sugar pretzel (just like it sounds: buttery pretzel goodness coated in cinnamon and sugar). It sounds like a lot but it was perfect for us to share. I loved the cinnamon & sugar the best but mom preferred the cheese pretza. Honestly, it was all tasty and we'll be back! Michigan does not allow indoor dining due to Covid but even in normal times this cozy spot doesn't have room for eating in. The covid precautions are good and being followed. Only one party is allowed inside at a time. We had a short wait but it was worth it! read more

The most delicious hot pretzels in northern MI! Get the Jalapeño Popper dip-- you won't be disappointed. And I solved today's algebra problem while we waited (less than 5 mins) for the freshly baked Pepperoni Pretzas! read more

Super Yummy pretzels with amazing customer service! Definitely a must visit before a walk on the bear river!

Delicious homemade pretzels and great service! It's fun to watch them make pretzels right in the window when you walk up. They follow COVID protocols very well with mask wearing, hand sanitizer, and limited guests in the lobby. Super easy to order online and pick up your order in ~10-15 minutes. We ordered the pepperoni pretzel and cheddar jalapeño and devoured them immediately - SO delicious. Thank you to Petosky Pretzel for the delicious snacks and keeping us safe during COVID. Will definitely come back! read more

Good pretzels. Very small space. You're in and out. Fast service. There are a few tables outside to sit at.

So yummy and my kids love this place. We often order online and pick up right after school as a treat. The kids love almost all the pretzels and the staff is great. read more

We were in from out of town for a softball tournament and stopped in here a couple of times! Loved the pretzels, staff was friendly and great! Would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a soft pretzel. There are even a number of different options and sauces which we didn't try, but had we been in town a couple more days I would have definitely tried the hot dog wrapped in a pretzel! If you're in town at the ball field, do yourself a favor and head up the steps to downtown and you'll fall right into the arms of Petoskey Pretzel - great for a between games snack! read more

$7.00 for a COLD pretzel dog is not worth it! Cheese inside was like a hard cheese cube. Seriously, a microwave takes a few seconds to operate. Use it. I don't normally post bad reviews, but this place, or the people working today deserves one. If your gonna serve it cold, let the customer know. I am a local and will not be a patron again. ;( read more

Good stuff really really good service. I'd recommend the cinnamon sugar one loved it!

Super fresh, hot and delicious. Chewy, salty, buttery outer shell combined with a tender inside makes these irresistible. Dipping sauce or not. Cinnamon sugar to complete the savory. read more

Yummy pretzels! During covid we went there and they are taking good precautions. Staff could be a little more friendlier.

Every time we'd be in Petoskey, there were lines out of the door at this place. We finally decided to venture in when the wait wasn't as long. They had free samples of all the different types of pretzels Incase you're indecisive. We went with the original and it was fantastic. It differed from the taste of a normal soft pretzel. Ive never had a homemade soft pretzel and I don't think I can ever go back. It tasted like a pastry. They also do daily algebra problems which is fun. If I could give this place more than five stars I would, it was that good. read more

Great little shop with amazing pretzels and sauces! A friend recommended we stop here and glad we did. I got to enjoy a regular pretzel with the "atomic mustard" sauce. I was warned that the sauce would be extremely hot but I found it very enjoyable. The only downside of Petoskey Pretzel is the small entry - when a lot of customers are there it gets very claustrophobic. Overall, great experience - amazing food and quality service! Highly recommended!! read more

Wow! Their pepperoni pretza is phenomenal!! It is pepperoni and mozzarella rolled in a pretzel casing and it is so good that we took a bite and immediately realized we needed another! We got the jalapeño popper dip with it which was also delicious, but unnecessary since it was so good on its own! The staff was also super friendly! read more

If you want to find the best soft pretzel in northwest Michigan, look no further. Our whole group, ages 18 months to 69 years, loved these pretzels. We tried the cinnamon sugar and the plain and couldn't get enough. The perfect amount of salt and buttery goodness. They were taking great safety precautions and the employees were super nice. I'd you are in the area it's worth a stop for sure. The location is walking distance from the water and a little park. Great your pretzel and enjoy a little bit of Pure Michigan! read more
