Beware! I suggest before you place your "fur babies" in this daycare you do your research. I don't mean just doing a "walk through" and leaving your loved family companion for a "trial visit". (believe me... your dog will be accepted... $$$$). Read everything before signing any paperwork. Notice on the website (May 15th/2019)they have 1 staff member to 10-15 dogs! These are "pack animals" by nature, ask yourself.."Could you be accountable for 10-15 dogs?" What if your dog was attacked by another dog while in there care? Could you afford the vet bill? I highly recommend you read the DOLA (Dog Owner Liability Act). Many reviews praise the owner of the business giving a 5 star. Remember the owner doesn't "watch" your dog. The owner does "damage control" when issues arise within the facility between your dog and another dog. It's more common than you may think! So please BEWARE... know your rights when it comes to your beloved pet... you have taken the time to open your home to this special pet that relies on you for life, love and companionship as you rely on your pet for the same. Be the voice for you friend... Read the Animal Services Control Act (section 349). All it takes is 1 altercation and the owner placing a phone call and filing a report with Animal Control (which is not mandated by-law to file) and your family friend is "labeled" in the city of Toronto. You may feel like your "socializing" your dog in daycare, when actually you are placing your dog at the mercy of staff to which have no official training to attend to 10-15 dogs and that the owner who gets 5 star reviews(for doing damage control with owners) doesn't decide to place a phone call and tarnish your beloved pets reputation in this city. If you want to socialize your family friend, do so in a structured environment... "Dog Walkers" making sure they are licensed, bonded and insured. In March of 2019 the city by-law changed when it came to the number of dogs that can be walked by a "walker". Do your research your family friend deserves it and so do you! For the record... I am not a dog walker soliciting for clients... I am an owner of a lovely dog that I placed in the care of this facility after reading "positive reviews" ( I didn't know at the time the owner emails/calls you after you have been a client asking for you to go on line and place a review.(I did and like the majority of the current reviews, I spoke of the owner(which I never meet) and the staff I
saw for a few moments while I dropped off my dog.) Keep in mind, you are not going to provide a "negative" review and continue to leave your pet in there care..lol). Do you furry friend and family a favour, do your research.. you won't regret it nor will your friend :) read more
