The owner of Maddox AV valued quality in the same way I do (hidden cables, color matching, clean work) and was creative in coming up with solutions to conceal wiring and run wires through the walls of our complex deck house. We looked for bids from 4 different HVAC companies to install a system or systems to reduce our energy costs in the winter and give the house A/C in the summer. The bid from Ambient was on par with everyone else but we liked our interaction with Bryan and wanted to support a smaller, local company that would hopefully be responsive to any issues or problems that arose. We are glad we went with them. The guys at Ambient installed 2 full mini-split systems (2 exterior units and 8 interior units) in our old home. It was a lot of work for the install and a lot of work getting them setup correctly. Bryan and his guys were timely & responsive through the whole process. Even when a late phone call from me would probably go to voicemail with any other company, Bryan still answered and was quick to fix our issue. We have already recommend Ambient to other friends who have needed work done. We will continue to recommend them to others too.

BLUF: Excellent communication, did what they said and didn't sell me on what I didn't need…read more My double garage door sprung its only spring and like the weather-adverse person I am, I "needed" my garage door fixed before the next snowstorm. I was able to provide the type of garage door that I had and Annapolis Garage Door squeezed me into their schedule. The technician showed up on time and that a best practice for a door that size is to have two springs on the door to reduce strain and for redundancy. They gave me the choice if I'd like one spring or two. Two of course - I definitely don't need a failed spring taking out a car or person. I also asked them to quote me a new garage door opener because my current chain driven opener is ridiculously loud. Annapolis Garage Door replied, "We're glad to give you a quote a for a new garage door opener but we think you'd might be happy with a simple tune up." Sure enough, Annapolis Garage Door tuned up the garage door and the system is many decibels quieter. They had the chance to sell me a new system but instead they sold me on their company and I've been since spreading the good word to others.

Upon my first call, Megan was wonderful. She answered any questions I had and if she didn't T know the answer, she was quick to find it and get back to me. Making an appointment for them to come out and look at my residence was fast and easy. I thought I would have to wait a while, but it was less than a week. Steve came out and assessed my residence. He took time to explain options and what he thought might be the best fit. I received an estimate within the same day and immediately called for an appointment. I got an appointment within two weeks. The two guys, Robert and Jake, that came out were professional and polite. I was prepared to have to clean up as I knew they would have to make holes to run wire. There was very little cleanup as they cleaned up as they worked. After the work was done, I thought I had an issue and called right away. Robert came out the same day and all was good. The whole process was a great experience. I would recommend Thomas Miller Electric again and again. I am grateful to my friend for recommending them.
