It was packed with people, which was a good sign. We enjoyed all our dishes, especially the tiger prawns, octopus, and seafood rice. The sangria was average. Pastries de Bacalhau - the crust was not brown enough. May be longer time. The stuffing was flavorful but it's more the cod taste than the flavored mash potatoes which I prefer. I actually prefer the other local restaurant I tried the night before better. Caldo Verde - The potatoe part of the soup is great. Perfect viscosity but the flavor is not. It wasn't salty enough but more importantly is the flavor of the veggies and the spicy sausage they supposed to use that makes the soup taste different. Grilled giant pawns - The flavor of the prawns is not as intense as expected and hope to be. The squid ink pasta also lacked of flavor. That's disappointing. With the prawns, they should at least use the prawn shell to make sauce for the pastas. The pasta was tasteless, didn't even use enough garlic and olive oil to flavor it up. Seafood rice - Another disappointment. They used fish, small mussels and little bit of shrimp pieces along with some bigger whole shrimps and mussels. However, the rice was lack of the true seafood flavor that made from shell fish. They also added cilantro which overwhelmed the whatever left of seafood flavor. The lemonade was not a sweet lemonade but sour. Fyi. It's not fair we just went to another restaurant in the neighborhood and everything was so much better but people should know.

Watching the chefs in their element preparing the dishes was so cool; for such a tight space, they were a well-oiled machine. Here were my favorites: 1. The tomato soup with egg. So, so simple, with only two main ingredients, but perfectly executed. I'll need to try making this at home with the immersion blender. 2. Pan con tomato with jamón ibérico. I'm sitting here writing this review and crying a little on the inside that we in the States don't have such easy access to quality ingredients to make such a stand-out dish. Grilled bread, tomato spread, and the best jamón I've ever tasted. This was an order we added at the very end and I'm glad we did. 3. The sweet rice pudding with cinnamon ice cream and toasted rice krispies on top. I was almost too full to function by this point but still made room to demolish this dessert. We also got the grouper stew, which was pretty good, but at that point, I had basically gotten the same dish multiple times and this one didn't particularly stand out. Definitely make reservations! There are two seats on the street but I personally wouldn't want to sit there as there's a ton of foot traffic in the area (plus the cars drive pretty close too so you're also breathing in fumes and exhaust). A perfect dinner in Lisbon: oysters at Rosamar one street over and then some tapas and drinks at Tapisco.

The staff was super friendly, spoke English fluently, and made me feel right at home. I wanted to try everything on the menu, but I limited myself to two dishes: 1) Fried Eggs with Potatoes & Iberian Meat 2) Salted Cod with Confit Egg Yolks Both plates were visually stunning, but the Salted Cod was the real standout. They recommended mixing everything together, and the result was this elevated cod hash which is completely unique and packed with flavor. It's not something I've had before, and I'll definitely be thinking about it long after the trip. With a glass of red wine, my total came to $67 USD which, for a Michelin-tier experience, felt totally fair. Would I come again? Absolutely.

The restaurant has a lively vibe with an octopus chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Also, seeing fresh seafood and fish behind the counter really get the seafood senses going. We tried several different sashimi's and ceviche and all were incredibly fresh, not over seasoned and flavorful. I had flashbacks of eating at Holbox, another Michelin rated seafood establishment in California. All in all, we loved this food. Presentation is simple but the quality of the ingredients and seafood really shine through. Our server was warm and friendly and did a great job of explaining how the different fish were prepared. A winner.

Their pisco sours were the smoothest piscos I've ever had -- definitely order one (or two). We ordered their recommended salmon & dragon fruit ceviche, the anticuchos (like skewers) of black pork belly and roasted octopus, and lobster & shrimp causitas (4 pieces) which were kind of like a single bite nigiri but over a potato biscuit. All the dishes were delicious and drool worthy. Seafood was very fresh and tasty. Not the cheapest meal in Portugal, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and would come back. Staff was super friendly and kindly explained the different parts of the menu so we could better decide what to order. The interior is bright, not too many seats, but there's a giant octopus hanging from the ceiling. Definitely recommend giving them a try if you're in the area and like seafood!
