We were disappointed at the time but we found many other restaurants that had good seafood as well. We were traveling with other family members this time and thought this restaurant would be the best places to try pretty much every seafood dishes available in Lisbon and some of the unique foods that we can't get at home. We had barnacles, glass shrimp (it is supposed to have eggs outside the shell but unfortunately we were told the season was over so there were no eggs), spider crab, oysters with caviar, scallops, razor clams, and cheese with bread. My daughter's boyfriend tasted the barnacles for the first time and he loved it. We ended up ordering it twice. Everything was delicious. Everyone enjoyed the food. Excellent service.

Two words - culture shock! This place was recommenced by our Brazilian Tuk Tuk driver. We were…read morelooking for a fish/seafood place and my compañero loves his IPA! We also wanted an authentic Portuguese place and not anything touristy. Be careful what you wish for! We took a number but were almost bypassed as they were calling higher numbers. I got the "matre d's" attention and showed him my number. He spoke no English as could be expected - not an issue! So, he bumped us up to the front of the line. We climbed a long narrow and steep staircase to reach a long narrow hallway with about 20 staff running about and squeezing by each other. Somehow, we found the dining room and our waiter greeted us offering us a choice of tables. Clientele were very well dressed and spoke in Portuguese looking very comfortable. He immediately brought us a huge basket of garlic bread! It was quite a nice atmosphere and reminiscent of an older home with high ceilings. We had trouble ordering from the phone app (as it should be because it was in Portuguese only) so our waiter guided us. No IPA and no wine except moscatel. But this was a cerveseria with no IPA! So we tried two glasses of moscatel- not our favorite as it was much too sweet. We agreed to the garlic shrimp and lazy crab. I asked what it came with and he said nothing and pointed to the garlic bread. I asked about ordering veggies and he said there were none! The crab was fridge cold but would have been better warm. The shrimp could have been tasty if not so salty. It wouldn't have been such a culture shock but it was also very pricey for what is was. I don't regret this experience as I was immersed in Portuguese culture and food. But no veggies is unthinkable! lol

In my opinion, its better than the chuleton. Get the mashed potatoes. They're also delicious and so are the roasted tomatoes that come with the steak. Finish with the chocolate dessert. Great meat ruined by arrogant service…read more We dined at Sala de Corte last night with high expectations, but the shockingly poor service completely ruined the evening. The Good: The meat itself was fantastic quality and cooked perfectly. The Bad: Order mix-ups: The staff delivered the wrong steaks to each of us. Because the waiter didn't speak English, there was no explanation of the cuts, leaving us to figure out whose plate was whose. Arrogant sommelier: When we asked for a wine recommendation, the sommelier suggested a bottle for nearly €200. When we asked for something in the €70-€80 range, he condescended to us, asking if it was "our first time at a restaurant"--despite their menu having options as low as €30 . Disappointing management & service charge: I raised our frustration with the manager, who took over for the rest of the meal and brought the bill. He had automatically added a 10% tip, brushing it off as just a "suggestion." When I voiced my surprise at this level of service and the automatic tip addition, he looked down on us and simply ignored the feedback. Lisbon has far too many world-class dining options with top-tier hospitality to justify paying premium prices just to be looked down on by the staff. Save your money and go elsewhere.

But…read morepresuming nothing's changed in 3 months, they had a bunch of great flavors of pizza by the slice, 4-5 euros a slice. That's already not bad, but their slices were... large. We split 4 different slices, but asked them to cut them all in half, which they did. That was... too much food (we ended up eating some for an unexpected pizza breakfast the next morning.) Great pizza, great sauce, great fluffy crust. The flavors we tried - mozzarella and basil (fantastic), pork belly (basically bacon, but very good bacon - fantastic), one other one I didn't appear to have written down, and the mushroom and truffle that we both agreed was certainly mushroomy, but a bit one dimensional. Would definitely come back if we were in Lisbon in the future. It is basically only to-go, which was fine for us, we were staying at a hotel nearby. The do also sell fancy sodas and a great Italian craft beer for, at least as of a little under 3 months ago, 3 euros each, which we also got one of each (also great, especially when you're on vacation and you don't have access to your beer collection like at home. :D)
