I was towed on a traffic stop and Pete's charged $470 to release my truck. The Texas department of licensing and regulations sets maximum fees for private property $272 for vehicles weighing 10,000 pounds or less $380 10,0011 to 24,000 lbs vehicles weighing 25,000 lbs is $480 per unit with a maximum of $978.*    Local Tows: Pronto Insurance estimates that local tows (5 miles or less) could range from $35 to $125.      *    Long-Distance Tows: The cost can increase significantly for longer distances, potentially reaching $275 for a 40-mile tow. And I was under 10 mile from there facility... please,,, in my opinion this is price gouging and I am going to do all I can to seek justice for this behavior and I suggest anyone to do the same. read more

Sleazy, dishonest towing service. Please stay away. Driver charged me $250 for a car that had stalled on a railroad track in Downtown Kyle. Car was located literally two blocks from the towing yard. And my car was in danger of being hit by train at any moment. Driver instead took advantage of me and my elderly mother and overcharged us $250 for an emergency that could have cost us our lives. This is the worst tow truck experience I've ever had in my life. Please stay away and get an honest, reputable tow service that will not rip you off in your time of need. read more

Horrible service. Company came to my property to tow a 3/4 ton truck contractor got stuck in the mud, belonging in a truck smaller than a S10, completely incapable of doing the job. Driving on my grass, when I asked him to get off of my lawn he jumped out of little pick up asking where is the grass --- I said this is my lawn I mow it please don't drive on my yard use the driveway. He proceed to tell me he couldn't move the truck, a complete fool could figure that out...he left saying the f word followed by you. Wouldn't call him under any circumstances. read more

Worst service I've ever had was perfectly fine with the $70 trip charge but once the guy arrived he said he would do it only for $200 cash. It's 12:30 at night right now and I just got off work. Have to go back in at 8am. What kind of service is that... Biggest douche and sleaze bag I've ever met. This is the kind of company that brings good companies down. read more

I don't even know where to start. This is by far the absolute worst wrecker service ever. On 6/1/18, I called them to tow my car to the nearest town because a tire went flat on me. When I called, the lady that took down my information, was an absolute idiot. I told her exactly where I was (FM 2720) but when she repeated my location back to me, she kept messing it up. I told very clearly and calmly that I was on FM 2720 and would say " ok, 2220?" I repeated it again "FM 2720." Then would reply "so, 2770?" I would repeat myself again much slower, "FM 2720." She said "oh ok, 2270?" I tried to be as patient as possible and keep my cool but seriously, lady?! Come on now. Get it together! I finally yelled at her "NO! FM 2, 7, 2, 0!" Then she got angry and said "Ok, I'll send some one now" then hung up on me. I was a little leary since she never got my location right but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and sat and waited. The nearest town was about 30 mins away. I called at 10:00 AM and by 10:30 AM, I was still sitting on the side of the road. I waited 15 more mins (45 mins total) and called the lady again. She didn't answer. I called again and she didn't answer again. I called a third time and she finally answered. I asked "do you how much longer it's going to be before someone gets here? I called 45 mins ago, they should be here by now." She responded with attitude "I've already sent some one, ma'am! They'll be there soon." I hung up. Finally, the wrecker came, towed my car, paid with my card, got a receipt, and towed me to my destination. The following Monday, I called my car insurance company to open up a claim so I could be reimbursed the towing expense. Well the only receipt I got was the one where I paid Arturo with my card. I produced that receipt to my insurance agent but they needed the one that had my name on it that also had the location of where my car was towed from and where it was towed to. I called them again to see if they could produce a receipt like that so I could give it to my insurance agent. When I called, there was no answer. I called again, and no answer. I called two more times and no answer. I called again and she answered with attitude "can I help you!?" I told her why I was calling and she said "I'm at the doctor's office right now. Can you call back later!?" I said "ok" and hung up. Later that afternoon, I called and she answered. Again, I explained why I was calling and she responded "Can you call back tomorrow? I'm only dispatching today." I told her all I needed was a receipt faxed to me. It would only take a couple mins out of her day. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she told me "there was not a supervisor there." I asked for her name and she told me, "Lex." I hung up with her. The next day I called again and no answer. I called again and she answered. I asked politely to speak with Lex and she replied aggressively "what can I help you with?!" I explained once again why I was calling and she replied with attitude "I already did that ma'am!" I told her in the same aggressive tone, "well, I didn't receive it. Can you fax it again?!" She sighed heavily with attitude and took down all my information and told me that she would fax it to me now. Well no surprise, I never received it. I was angry, I didn't call back again. The next morning, I called again and asked to speak to "Lex" and explained again why I was calling. I tried to keep my composure and remained calm and suck up to her because I really needed this receipt. "Lex" totally lied to me. She told me and my insurance agent that she had previously faxed over the receipt but when I called her this morning, she had no recollection of any receipt and had to take down all my information again. So finally, after jumping through hoops, being lied to, and going round and round with "Lex," I finally received my receipt. However, the receipt was blank and was hardly filled out. I filled out the receipt and faxed it over to my insurance company. "Lex" is horrible at her job. She has no people skills whatsoever, has way too much attitude to be working in customer service, and is a liar. She's completely scatterbrained and won't help you in anyway. I will NEVER contact Pete's Wrecker Service ever again. If you want a professional, prompt, friendly service, do NOT call Pete's Wrecker Service. They SUCK! read more

Really good service. Charged me 80$ to tow from San Marcus to the Volkswagen dealership at onion creek. Definitely recommend them if your south and need help. Steve was there in 15 minutes and helped me out of a very irritating situation! read more
