Pete is amazing and so easy to work with! He's professional, responsive, and he just thinks of all the small details when decorating the catering station. i.e what color scheme do you have, what flowers are you using.. And the food... Oh my gosh the food is so GOOD! We got tri tip, chicken, potato medley, vegetables, salad, and Mac and cheese with bacon. I can't stop thinking about the food that's how good it was. Every single guest had good things to say about the food, even my Texans are in love with it! Best decision you'll make is booking with Pete! read more

I want to thank Pete and his crew again for catering another outstanding event (they catered our wedding a few years ago). From the time I reached out to him up until the event (my wife's 60th birthday), it's been top-notch. Pricing, menu selection, # of guests, setup, food prep, doling out the appetizers and entrees, and finally storing the leftovers so that I could take home, great company to work with. I'll utilize their services for my next event. read more

The absolute best wedding caterer we could have asked for!!! If I could give more than five stars I would, I still dream about the food, it was that good!! Pete's firehouse bbq really came through for my husband and I's special day. We had issues with a few of our vendors for the day, but one I didn't have to worry or stress over once was Pete and his bbq! The food was warm, incredibly delicious, and exactly what we asked for. Our guests all enjoyed it immensely, we heard nothing but rave reviews; and they still comment how the food at our wedding was the best ever. Pete went out of his way to help us throughout the process, from tastings to the main event; a truly kind and professional individual. He was always responsive to my emails and questions. My husband and I's favorite part, was by far the late night bites of pork belly sliders and mash potato bar. The appetizer meatballs also a game changer! Wish I could have a plate of everything as I write this. Since we had a fridge at the venue, we were able to keep our leftovers, which they packaged up for us. Though we didn't receive the toppings from the potato bar, only tiny hiccup, we did receive tons of leftovers that was such a bonus! Not to mention, that they heated well and were tasty even days later!! My husband, guest, and I all highly recommend Pete's Firehouse BBQ for your wedding or event!! You'll definitely, thank me later. read more

Petes catered our wedding just 2 weeks ago and people are STILL raving about the food. Not only that but I can't be grateful enough for how helpful Pete has been with all of my questions the months leading up to my wedding and for responding so quickly. Pete and his team truly made it a breeze and were utterly AMAZING! I miss the food already, you can tell how fresh the food is and no bbq is more tasty or juicy than Pete's, we have very happy we chose them for our special day! read more

I was looking for a place to cater a celebration of life. I reached out to Pete and from start to finish, he was awesome. I ended up ordering tri-tip, chicken, Mac and cheese as well as baked beans. I was impressed with the portions and the food overall. The Tri-tip was tender and flavorful. It didn't even need any bbq sauce. The chicken was so tender and moist and seasoned really nicely. I'm not a giant fan of baked beans, but his beans were really yummy. They even had little pieces of corn in them. As for the Mac and cheese, i loved it. I could eat that stuff every day. Smokey bacon and good and cheesy but not mushy. Everyone was asking where the food came from and how found him. We got so many compliments on all the food. We were really impressed and will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommended!! read more

I was looking for someone to cater our small micro wedding in Temecula and found Pete's BBQ on Yelp. From the moment I reached out Pete was professional, responsive and very helpful. My now husband is from a small town in Texas and a BBQ snob. Like most guys he didn't care about the small details of the wedding but the food was important to him. Pete and his team went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure our guests were taken care of and fed an incredible meal. I can't tell you how many compliments I got on the food. My MIL was so impressed with the Brisket and even told them "I'm from Texas and that Brisket is delicious, put another helping on my plate". Unfortunately I did not get to taste the Raspberry Chipotle Meatballs but it was all the rave. I think my fav was the smoked Mac and Cheese with Bacon. My wedding coordinator, who is also a good friend, was so impressed with the service and how friendly Pete's staff was. It was pouring rain and his staff jumped in and helped out setting up and re arranging things. If you like BBQ then Pete is your guy, no lie. From the set up to the presentation to the packing up of all the leftovers, I cant say enough good things. You can tell that Pete and his team take pride in making sure everything is perfect and it shows. You will not be disappointed. read more

Pete's Firehouse BBQ Catering did a stellar job at my daughter's backyard wedding on 4/1/17. Our guests were very impressed with the appetizers and food for 130 people and 10 kids. Their setup was wonderful and blended in with the wedding theme. Communication was excellent! All his help was polite and helpful. We ordered the trip-tip and chicken which was exceptional! The potato salad was a great homestyle with red potatoes and there can't be enough said about the bacon macaroni and cheese! We used PAYPAL which was very convenient. Thank you, Pete and your crew for making our daughter and new son-in-law's wedding easy on planning with your company. Kindly- Don & Linda read more

We chose Pete's for our July wedding and were not disappointed! Pete was always courteous and nice every time we communicated and answered all the questions we had along the way. The set up and his staff were top notch and very professional. Now to review the food! Amazing! We got the grilled chicken and the brisket, and the bacon Mac and mashed potatoes on the side. It was all delicious! What an outstanding meal for the biggest day of our lives! The bacon Mac was talked about for days after! Thank you Pete! Pete's came out to cater lunch for the teachers and staff at our school. It was AMAZING! The meats were so juicy and good, the sides were really flavorful, and his sauce ... oh my! I think I could drink that sauce! My hubs was super jealous when I came home and told him about our lunch. I'm going to have to throw a party or crash a party just so I can have more of their yummy food! read more

We used Pete to cater our wedding and couldn't of been happier. All of our guests raved about the food and commented on how nice everyone was. Pete's Firehouse was the first and only tasting we had for our catering option for our wedding. My husband is from Kansas so it was a must we have BBQ for our meal. Pete was AMAZING... The meats where juicy and so flavorful! The sauces were AMAZING! We had the Tri-Tip and Grilled Chicken. The sides were even more AMAZING... we had the smoked mac and cheese with bacon and green beans with bacon. We had a few vegetarians that attended so Pete was so kind to offer a portobello mushroom and with the sides he left the bacon out just for those people. We also had appetizers served with them and let me tell you their Raspberry Chipotle Meatballs are HEAVEN. They even have a option to have a smoke wagon that can be on site so all your guest get to smell what they are having for dinner. He matches your decor on the buffet, and goes above and beyond to set up how you'd like. ALL of our guest raved about the food and they even packaged up the leftovers for us and put them in our room to have the next day. The food is even better as leftovers! I would recommend Pete over and over again with 5 stars. You won't be disappointed. Thank you again Pete! read more

While in the planning process, my husband and I agreed that serving good food was a MUST at our wedding. Pete's Firehouse BBQ came highly recommended by our venue and we are so glad we decided to give him a try. He was gracious enough to let us do a tasting before booking and within 5 minutes my husband and I knew we needed to have Pete cater our wedding. More so than the food tasting amazing, Pete is such a nice guy. He is personable, honest, and so hard working. When wedding day came, Pete and his team showed up on time to get everything ready. We chose the option of having the meat cooked onsite and it added such a great touch to the day. Our guests absolutely RAVED about how it was the best meal they've ever had at a wedding. When walking around, we noticed our guests had eaten every last bite from their plate and many even opted to get seconds! Just had Pete cater our wedding, and I cannot count the number of compliments we received on the food. Everything was cooked to perfection! We have a couple of picky eaters, and for them to give me the "thumbs up", was a clear sign that it was excellent. Oh, yes... and don't think that your guests will go hungry. Absolutely INCREDIBLE! We used Pete's Firehouse BBQ for our May wedding at my Grandfather's Vineyard in Temecula and everyone raved about it! The meatballs for appetizers were delicious, and the tri-tip was perfection. My husband and I dream about the bacon mac and cheese! We had roughly 200 guests and everyone was happy and satisfied! We had a handful of vegetarians and Pete made sure to take care of them all! Pete's sweet wife made both my husband and I's plate and brought it to us at our sweetheart table exactly how We wanted it! Pete was our caterer for our wedding day on June 27, 2015 at the Secluded Garden Estate, and I have nothing but amazing things to say about him and his team! From our initial email, to the tasting, confirming details before the wedding, and our actual wedding day, Pete did an outstanding job. He goes above and beyond to make everything perfect. He even brings his own décor for the buffet table to match the theme and colors of your wedding. Aside from his amazing customer service, his BBQ is the best I have EVER taster. We had the tri tip, pulled pork, chicken, vegetables, and mac and cheese. EVERYTHING was amazing. We also had veggies and meatballs during cocktail hour. I had so many people rave about the meatballs. I would HIGHLY recommend him for your wedding or any party you need catered. I own a wedding DJ company and I've had the opportunity to work with Pete's Firehouse BBQ on so many weddings I've lost count. I generally don't eat at weddings but when Pete's is catering, I always find a few minutes to enjoy their awesome BBQ. I can honestly say there's not one item of theirs that isn't exceptionally tasty. And I'll tell you exactly what I tell everyone I work with who asks for a BBQ caterer recommendation, Pete's is the only company I'd hire for my kids weddings. One last thing, if you don't opt for the raspberry chipotle meatballs, you're crazy. read more

We had the wedding menu planned for June 2020, paid our deposit, and then Covid hit. We had to cancel due to restrictions on the church and venue. With no place to have a wedding, no guests, and no venue, we canceled and asked for the deposit back. We were refunded half the deposit and told we could apply the other half to an event within the year. Funny thing is everyone else we had contracted with refunded our entire deposits based on the unusual circumstances of the shutdowns. Well less than a year later we sent an email to Pete asking if we could apply the deposit to another event which happened to be a funeral. All we got was crickets. No response. No yes or no. I wouldn't recommend using him until things get back to normal unless you feel comfortable risking your deposit. read more

Pete and his team embodied professionalism and service from our first encounter. After receiving a recommendation from our venue, we reached out to Pete to cater our wedding. He invited us down for a tasting which turned out to be a three course meal that we absolutely couldn't finish (despite our best efforts). The food was spectacular, of course, with a bbq chicken that was both tender and flavorful and a tri tip steak that was juicy and could be cut with a fork. We booked Pete for our wedding and could not be happier with the results. By the time the ceremony started, my groomsmen and I were nearly drooling at the scent of his food wafting across the venue. His team was fantastic, taking extra special care of my wife, myself, and our wedding party while we slogged through innumerable pictures after the ceremony, having appetizers specially played for us. To-go meals were prepped so that we could eat at the end of the night. I can't say enough good things about Pete, but we would absolutely recommend him and his team to cater any event. The food was tasty, the service was outstanding and everyone at the event was fat and happy. Pete's prices were the best we found and he continued to improve upon the deal even after we had signed the contract. Definitely go with Pete. Also, the brisket. Make sure you get the brisket. read more

Enough cannot be said about how amazing Pete's bbq is! We had Pete cater our co-ed baby shower a couple weeks ago. We had about 80 people in attendance. The food was a total hit!! I honestly wish I had known about Pete's catering years ago-there is no doubt we would have used him for our wedding and other family parties. Before your event you can actually sit down with Pete and taste his food. You will be hooked after the first bite. Pete and his wife Melissa are an amazing and caring team. When my wedding planner Birgit Aviles recommended that we try Pete's for our catering, my husband was determined that they were going to be our caterer. After a hearty taste test, we were beyond sold (and stuffed!). Melissa met with us at the venue a couple of weeks beforehand to finish with details which was wonderful. The day of, we had a fantastic spread of tri-tip, smoked chicken, smoked mac n' cheese, baked beans, salad and rolls. I had SO MANY of my guests tell me they usually don't like wedding food, but every person cleared their plates! The only thing I heard anyone complain about was that they didn't get enough mac n' cheese! They even made a small dish of mac n' cheese and had portobello skewers for our few vegetarian guests. After the event was over, they packed up all the leftovers for us so we could snack on it later that night and the next day! They also had two servers that worked their butts off throughout the night helping serve our guests and then clean up. Everything was beyond delicious, beyond wonderful, and top notch. Thank you for your wonderful customer service and delicious BBQ! read more

This review is for my personal interaction with Pete for a catering job. I wanted to say he was very professional and responded quickly to email inquiries. While I we didn't ultimately end up choosing firehouse for our catering needs (it was a tough choice that ultimately came down to a personal reference), I do believe they would have provided great food at a great cost. Pete was even able to help me with my gluten free and vegetarian needs. If you are looking for a BBQ/buffet style catering, I would definitely make Pete's one of the first places you contact. read more

We had approximately 180 guests and the lines went quickly and guests raved about the food. Pete is a stand up guy and was extremely easy to work with. His wife set up a beautiful buffet to match our colors and flowers with signage for guests. We decided on the tri-tip, chicken, vegetable medley and the bacon mac and cheese!
