Garbage company. The most rude owners I've ever met! They leave a brake job unfinished and dangerous then have the balls to be rude instead of apologize like a honorable business. While visiting family in NH, with a rental car, I found one of my tires flat on the morning I was due to travel. As I was working to beat a storm and on a bit of a time crunch, my Uncle George was able to put in a call and they were able to get me in right away. They changed the tire quite efficiently and I was on my way, ahead of the storm! Run away ! Pete was my mechanic for some time, but the revolving door of help means you never know the quality of the work. This shop cost me $3000 + to re do a clutch job on a BMW, and the re do involved several broken bell housing bolts because Pete's grease monkey does not understand torque wrenches. He also over torqued lug nuts on my van tires to the point I needed all new lug nuts. Pete actually charged for this rather than man up and take care of business. SO, after getting burned for $3000 plus I learned my lesson and moved on. So should you ! read more

Had a great experience at Pete's today. We are new to the area and when we went to get in the car today realized that one of the springs in the front suspension had slipped off and was knocking around. A quick google search turned up Pete's as a closeby option for a mechanic. I called and spoke to Joanne, who was incredibly nice and told me to drop the car off. Pete took a look at it and within an hour they called me with an honest, fair price to replace the front struts and springs. Because of the cost, we opted to only have one strut replaced and they happily obliged and didn't make me feel like I "had to" get the pair done (although I understand why it's normally done). They ordered the part and the car was ready in under 3 hours. Friendly service, quick turn-around, and fair price.....I think we've found our local mechanic :) read more

Seriously, save your money for a better shop. Pete was my mechanic for a few years, watched a parade of help go through shop and service went to hell. Their mechanic has no idea how to use a torque wrench, overtightens everything. No idea how to install modern clutches, completely screwed up my car. Be prepared to have the work done over outside Pete's shop as it is unlikely to be done correctly the first time if is is anything more than an oil change. read more

Just moved to area. Had my 2014 KIA Soul inspected and it passed. 7 days later my brakes are shot. Metal on metal. Every other auto tech I have spoken with says it is clear, Pete's Auto did not properly inspect my brakes for two reasons. 1. Brake pads do not wear down that much in 7 days 2. What kind of mechanic does not inform the customer his brakes need replacement soon or in my case immediately. Pete's Auto is incompetent, lazy, and dumb as well. read more

My fiance works in town and brings her vehicle here for yearly state inspection for the convenience. She gets soaked every time. They charge for every little bit they can. Don't stand behind things they fix to get inspection. Heard a lot of other complaints that are similar. read more
