In compensation, he replaced a couple of other parts while he was under my car and I'm very well satisfied with that. Not to mention eternally relieved to have finally completed a state inspection. What would otherwise be classified as an innocuous, yet necessary tradition, you would be surprised how difficult it is to find a place to get a proper state inspection done IF you're new to the area and not quite sure where to go. Worse yet....if you happen to have tint on your front windows like I did, you'd be hard pressed to find a place that will even perform said inspection, as it apparently violates NH state law. Anyway, this place is fast, efficient, and the staff are very accommodating. They even have a spiffy little waiting area with coffee and everything. Also, they accept Apple Pay. Which....I didn't realize until AFTER I already paid them with my card. See, they have one of those scanners that displays the option as the total is presented. I told the lady at the front desk they should probably post a sticky on the front door mentioning as much. This is such a convenient spot for me to get my state inspection and whatever else done because it's so close to where I live. And affordable? You bet your ass they are! BLUF: they don't charge *quite* as much as the dealership would for most repairs. Not to mention...I personally wouldn't go to any other shop unless they specialized in BMW specifically. I don't play around when it comes to a luxury vehicle I intend to hold onto for the long haul. I must apologize upfront for not providing any photos with this review. That's mainly because there isn't much to this place, visually speaking. On this particular visit, my time was rather brief anyway. Ergo, I didn't have time to photograph the showroom. But I can describe it real quick. Picture this: a partially vacant lobby with a stoic aesthetic featuring one display Bimmer and a main desk. Not necessarily a bad thing when you consider how invitingly warm and accommodating the business owners are here. I guess what I'm trying to say here is....looks ain't everything. The guys who run this joint, Dan & Tim, were nothing short of excellent, approachable, professional, and straightforward. Within the first two minutes of speaking with these fine individuals, I knew instantly I was in MUCH better hands than that of Tulley BMW of Nashua. Most of which is due to the fact that they focus strictly on maintenance as opposed to selling cars. But more than that, booking appointments with them couldn't be easier. They allow for online booking via their website, provide customers with a loaner (a concept which would otherwise require an act of Congress from the likes of Tulley), text you updates, and only resort to a voice call if there's extensive detail to explain. It's also worth noting the system they use to itemize their recommendations is somehow cleaner and easier to approve or disapprove via their hyperlinks than the aforementioned dealership. In this instance, I was in need of a transmission fluid exchange; a service which I HIGHLY recommend every Bimmer driver receive, regardless of what BMW may tell you. Okay. Quick story time: a couple years back, I ask Tulley if they can perform this service. Funny thing is, ya know what they tell me? "Oh, you don't have to worry about that. It's 'lifetime' fluid." On top of that, IF they had agreed to perform the service, guess how much it would have cost me. $1500! What....the.....fu- Meanwhile, guess how much UBS charges. At the time of writing this review, circa $700ish if you opt for the special formula that makes the trans fluid last longer. Needless to say, it was worth every penny. Look, I get it. Obviously, Tulley said what they said in the hopes I'd believe them, drive my transmission into the ground until it either exploded or simply started vomiting bits of metal shavings that USED to be its inner gears, then have me purchase a whole new one for the whopping price of 7 grand (yeah....I looked it up). Final conclusion? Dealerships absolutely SUCK as an option to get your vehicle serviced. And this goes across the board for ANY model vehicle, btw. Take my advice: save yourself some bucks (not to mention some headaches) and visit these guys instead. They'll treat you right. Clearly, I shall return in a few months to get my suspension brushings replaced. As of now, I gratefully grant Ultimate Bimmer Services in Nashua 5 healthy transmissions shifting with zero hesitation out of 5.
