For those of you who happen to be fellow Bimmer drivers in search of an indie shop that specializes in BMW maintenance, you needn't look any further than this place right here. BLUF: they don't charge *quite* as much as the dealership would for most repairs. Not to mention...I personally wouldn't go to any other shop unless they specialized in BMW specifically. I don't play around when it comes to a luxury vehicle I intend to hold onto for the long haul. I must apologize upfront for not providing any photos with this review. That's mainly because there isn't much to this place, visually speaking. On this particular visit, my time was rather brief anyway. Ergo, I didn't have time to photograph the showroom. But I can describe it real quick. Picture this: a partially vacant lobby with a stoic aesthetic featuring one display Bimmer and a main desk. Not necessarily a bad thing when you consider how invitingly warm and accommodating the business owners are here. I guess what I'm trying to say here is....looks ain't everything. The guys who run this joint, Dan & Tim, were nothing short of excellent, approachable, professional, and straightforward. Within the first two minutes of speaking with these fine individuals, I knew instantly I was in MUCH better hands than that of Tulley BMW of Nashua. Most of which is due to the fact that they focus strictly on maintenance as opposed to selling cars. But more than that, booking appointments with them couldn't be easier. They allow for online booking via their website, provide customers with a loaner (a concept which would otherwise require an act of Congress from the likes of Tulley), text you updates, and only resort to a voice call if there's extensive detail to explain. It's also worth noting the system they use to itemize their recommendations is somehow cleaner and easier to approve or disapprove via their hyperlinks than the aforementioned dealership. In this instance, I was in need of a transmission fluid exchange; a service which I HIGHLY recommend every Bimmer driver receive, regardless of what BMW may tell you. Okay. Quick story time: a couple years back, I ask Tulley if they can perform this service. Funny thing is, ya know what they tell me? "Oh, you don't have to worry about that. It's 'lifetime' fluid." On top of that, IF they had agreed to perform the service, guess how much it would have cost me. $1500! What....the.....fu- Meanwhile, guess how much UBS charges. At the time of writing this review, circa $700ish if you opt for the special formula that makes the trans fluid last longer. Needless to say, it was worth every penny. Look, I get it. Obviously, Tulley said what they said in the hopes I'd believe them, drive my transmission into the ground until it either exploded or simply started vomiting bits of metal shavings that USED to be its inner gears, then have me purchase a whole new one for the whopping price of 7 grand (yeah....I looked it up). Final conclusion? Dealerships absolutely SUCK as an option to get your vehicle serviced. And this goes across the board for ANY model vehicle, btw. Take my advice: save yourself some bucks (not to mention some headaches) and visit these guys instead. They'll treat you right. Clearly, I shall return in a few months to get my suspension brushings replaced. As of now, I gratefully grant Ultimate Bimmer Services in Nashua 5 healthy transmissions shifting with zero hesitation out of 5. read more

Had electrical problems with my 7 Series: doors wouldn't lock/unlock properly, and gas cap wouldn't open. Brought it in close to closing time without an appointment. They were able to diagnose and fix it, and even allowed me to pick it up, after closing time! Great customer service. Now for the bad part, the price. Yikes! Turned out that a blown fuse was the problem. $3 for the fuse ... $102 for the labor!! Jesus Christ! Lord Have Mercy! Would I come back? Yeah, probably. Will I like it? Hell to the Nah! Went in for an oil change and they charged almost as much as the dealership. I wouldn't of mind if I'd gotten my money's worth but I didn't and here's why. I had specifically requested for air to be capped off in my tires, one was running low and the TP light was on. It was still on, when I got my car back nor was any air added to my tires... Also, my service reminder was not reset when the work was done, so now my car is still telling me to get my oil change. This would never happened at a BMW dealership. These details matter when you are charging big boy prices!! What turned me off most is that they failed to deliver on the small things but made sure to tell me what I needed to spend more money on. Not a good sign. Would I go back?? Not with my newer model, maybe if I'd gotten a beater that needed a new exhaust or something like that. This place seems to specialize in older BMWs with more mechanical problems because customer service was great. All in all, the devil is in the details. Maybe if they didn't charge as much as the dealership, I wouldn't have such high expectations. read more

Called up the number provided on a customers loaner vehicle and left a message the night prior due to them being closed during those hours, Dan returned my call seems literally like the second he got in. I needed to get my vehicle checked due to a multitude of misfire codes, they got me in the same day even though they had a busy schedule and got me diagnosed and serviced ALL IN THE SAME DAY! Which is such a godsend because I had to take a trip back to NC the following day, I will literally recommend their services to anyone in the Massachusetts/New Hampshire area or anyone willing to make a drive here, customer service was top tier and I haven't been this ecstatic leaving a garage in my life! I'm coming back in June and getting my tune-up services done by them 11/10 come here for all your Bimmer needs! Great customer service and great work done! read more

Have to say these are probably the nicest most professional people ever! Been having a ton of trouble with Tulley in Nashua and Ultimate Bimmer Service has been nothing but great compared to them for my BMW. Just spent over a grand on my valv cover gasket and although it was a lot of money and the cost of labor was crazy I'm glad I went through them! Probably won't trust anybody else with my bmw. I have to start out by stating this place is utterly amazing! The most important person you first encounter is Dan and he is top notch. He is the key person that you interface with and knows his stuff. I was knocked off my feet by his astute knowledge of the BMW vehicle and he is young but man can he stand his ground advocating for the needs of your car and knows his cars inside and out. I am so grateful for finding this establishment. They gave a detailed report of every function of my car and in addition verified their findings with photos as evidence. I have never found this quality of customer care/service from big dealerships. I trust them exclusively and they were the frontline advocating for problems i encountered from a purchase of my first convertible bimmer and they did not even have to go the extra mile to assist me but they did. I live out of state but needed my X5 serviced while I was in town visiting family - I brought it in and am so thankful. The service is excellent, they are friendly and knowledgeable, you can tell they are honest and the prices are completely fair. They discuss the issues with me that my vehicle has in layman's terms so I have a true understanding of what is going on and I don't feel like I'm being scammed or pressured into services that are not needed. I trust their integrity so much - that I only have my vehicle serviced here and coordinate the services that I need done on my vehicle with my trips to visit my family in N.H. - this says a lot because I live 8 hours away in a large city that has many places that I could bring my vehicle for service, but I chose to bring it here. Additionally, I recently needed a vehicle for my daughter who is a new driver - the first place that popped into my mind was Ultimate Bimmer Services - I called to see if they had any vehicles for sale and was so happy that I was able to buy a car from them. Let me start by saying that the quality work that they do here is excellent. If you are a BMW driver, then this is the shop for you. Even more so if you are an enthusiast as both the owners and staff are all true enthusiasts themselves. I also recently purchased a car from them and the sales experience was one of the best I've had. They had no problem standing behind their vehicle, and were incredibly willing to go through the car with me in detail, describing common problems associated with the model and discussing what is important to look for on those vehicles so I could see and know exactly what I was buying. When we did find a small leak, they were more than willing to do the repair. I am incredibly happy with my purchase, and even happier with the whole experience including both the purchase as well as all work I've had done by them on my other car. I was tempted to provide a rating of only 4 stars as typically the ends of a scale are somewhat questionable and less believable. That being said, I couldn't think of a reason why Corey, Heather and their team don't deserve 5 stars! Having worked on vehicles for over 35 years I rarely take my vehicles anywhere for repair. Why? Partly because I'm cheap (o.k. I said it.), but also, when I do take it somewhere, the repairs are rarely done right the first time. It's never because I'm not capable of making the repair as I've completed many complex repairs including rebuilt motors, transmissions and differentials. Sometimes as the case was with my E90 BMW, after solving and making several repairs over a period of time (this time it including replacement of the heater core and front propeller shaft), I grow tired of working on it every weekend and just needed it back on the road quickly. After finally getting the vehicle back on the road, within days it became harder and harder to start until it didn't. It turned out to be the starter. Not an overly complex job but between ordering and waiting for parts and making the repair it would be another weekend, maybe 2 if the parts didn't arrive in time if I did it myself. I suspected the starter but was 100% sure that was the problem and I needed to register a new battery anyway. I had it towed to Ultimate Bimmer Services. Within a couple of days the car was ready for pickup. There was a minor issue which required leaving the vehicle for another day but it was corrected quickly. As a certified BMW tech with years of experience, Corey is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He performs the repairs to the same level of perfection that I would. Actually better since he has more intimate knowledge and experience regarding BMW repairs, as well as certified training and access to BMW service manuals and soft tools that I can't afford. For instance, all Aluminum bolts are replaced, the correct torque is applied during all phases of the repair and they use Genuine BMW parts. They also honor the BMW warranty that comes with the part and stand behind their work. The repair cost was fair and certainly less than the dealership. Within a week of this repair, the car stalled several times on my way to work. I had it towed back for analysis since the error code indicated an air / fuel ratio problem and I know the intake manifold is typically removed during a starter replacement on this vehicle. The problem turned out to be the eccentric shaft sensor and totally unrelated to the previous repair. I opted to take care of this one myself but I know that if it had been related to the initial work they would have made it right. I was actually pleased to learn that it wasn't related to the previous work. The analysis was spot on and after replacing the sensor, coil packs, plugs and various gaskets my gas mileage improved by 4 mpg and performance is better than ever. If I had to describe Ultimate Bimmer Services in one word it would be "INTEGRITY". If I need help troubleshooting a problem or a repair done on my BMW in the future, this is the only place I'll be taking it. read more
