I brought my wedding dress here because it was recommended at the place I purchased it, Maggie's. I…read morewould never recommend this place to other brides. The changing room is a small, cluttered, repurposed closet. When we picked up my dress we noted an issue that happened due to the adjustment we made on the straps. The seamstress said there was nothing that could be done. It looked and felt like the top of my dress fitted terribly. My mom asked her to show her how to bustle it and the seamstress did so but struggled significantly. I just got home from another seamstress who has to basically redo all of her work. She showed me several places where the work that was done was not done well. Not only all of this but Plus Alterations is cash only. She gave me a price after my consult and then at pick up, stated she forgot to charge me for something and was increasing the price by $38. Super unprofessional especially considering I have to have the dress fixed elsewhere!

I paid in advance to have the waist taken OUT on two pair of very expensive wool suit pants. I…read moretried them on and watched him measure and mark both pair. I asked him to call me when ready. He REFUSED. He said "about a week, you call me". His phone is not set up to take voice mails. I waited 2 weeks, then called. After waiting on hold for 12 minutes he came back and said they were ready. Then he called me back 5 minutes later and said they were NOT ready. I said, see you next week. I picked up my pants and when I got home I realized that instead of taking the waist OUT by about 2 inches, he took it IN by about 2 inches. That cannot be fixed. Now the two best wool business suits I have ever owned in 70 years are trash cause I can't get them on my 35 inch waist. I'm not even fat let alone obese. But Jerry destroyed two cashmere wool suits worth about $1,500 each. When I tried to talk to him he goes into his "I no so good at english" mode. 40 years in america and he only speaks Italian. "WHATTA you mean" he says. then hangs up on me. RUN AWAY from this guy. In my opinion he is senile at best.
