We were regulars for years but the last few times we felt like things had gotten too expensive--which is not a problem if the value is there but it isnt. I always got the seafood alfredo pasta dish and the last few times I had one tiny scallop, a couple shrimp and a couple small prawns for $31. Coworkers of mine have said the same thing and my parents were there recently and they had the seafood pesto dishes and were not impressed for the same reason. Lovely flavours, just awful value and portion sizes. Service is hit or miss. Can get very loud and cramped. Maybe ok for a date night..... read more

We had a super tasty meal this evening...best in Kamloops! Started with the Caesar Salad...the had the Lasagna as the main. Both were very delicious...plus the garlic bread. Pro tip - get in line by 4:30pm...the place fills up quickly! Thank you for a scrumptious meal! read more

Have come here a few times. My first experience was quite good. I thoroughly enjoyed the Caesar salad and shared it with my partner. It was very tasty and one of the better Caesar salads I've had. The first time I came I enjoyed the chicken and mushroom sauce pasta. The following two times I have come I noticed my pasta bowl to be completely drenched and swimming in a soup of sauce. Personally I don't enjoy fishing for my noodles in a soup of thick sauce. I feel this issue could be fixed by adding a more even sauce to pasta noodle ratio. I feel the first time I came I had a normal amount of pasta noodles and the following two times I feel I have not been served enough pasta noodles for the price. Service is quite good and friendly I just wish they took reservations especially in the cold winter months. The restaurant itself is very crammed and sometimes it feels like you're sitting at a table with all the people around you. Definitely not an intimate dining experience like the prices make it seem. I will be trying somewhere else next time as it's not worth it to wait in an hour line to have a bowl of sauce and a few noodles. read more

Peter's Pasta - Italian Near Me - Kamloops, British Columbia

I was trying to visit for dinner on Nov 10 Sun but somehow it was closed. Very disappointed. The actual look different with posting pic.

I had a good time checking out Peter's Pasta. Super friendly and fast service, and the food is good. There is a line so come early or not in prime dinner time. I would come back again. read more

The number one reason why I felt that I need to leave a review for Peter's Pasta is that its pictures do not do it justice! I went on a weekend and there was a 15 minute wait at 6PM, which was reasonable. It's only a lineup - you can't leave your number down. We were greeted and attended to often -- really nothing bad to say about the service. As for food, we got the seafood saffron pasta which was a nice creamy pasta. Pasta was cooked perfectly as one would expect with a name like Peters Pasta. It needed a stronger taste of saffron but it was still quite delicious in its light creamy sauce. We also got the veal and mushroom pasta which was full of flavour - and easily my favourite. The portions were really good and left us with no room for dessert. The garlic toast was also very very delicious. read more

It's the go to favorite for myself my family, and 99% of everyone I know. This place doesn't have a line that starts 15-20 min before open every night for no reason. Service is always above and beyond, food is always fresh and fantastic, and the ambiance effortlessly fits a one on one intimate occasion or a birthday party with a crew. Hands down #1 in Kamloops IMO. read more

My son and I popped in here for a quick bite on a Friday night. The place was packed but luckily a table for two was just clearing so we were seated in a few minutes. Of course, we only had two mains but they were both spectacular. Fresh pasta and vegetables at very reasonable prices. The service was excellent and relatively fast given that every table was full. Peter himself stopped by twice to check on us. I noticed that everyone around us were very happy with their meals, which looked great, pardon me for staring! read more

We went to Peter's pasta on the advice of our airbnb host. Upon arriving, there was a short line queuing outside. My friend questioned whether it was worth the wait, but I insisted a line is a good indication of food worth waiting for waiting for. I was not wrong. Though the menu item I had hoped to get was no longer available, as it was a little bit later in the evening, the owner went out of her way to suggest a combination of 2 menu items that she thought I would love based on my choice. She was not wrong. The wine was great, the food was fabulous, and the service was exceptional. read more

Stopped by this restaurant on our way to Clear Water from Whistler, and it is a hidden gem. From the food to the hospitality, everything was perfect! The food was delicious. The creamy garlic sauce was very tasty. The owner Nichole was super friendly, as well has husband Barry the chef. Definitely a must if you are in Kamloops. Nichole's friendliness won our heart from the beginning. read more

5 years ago today we moved to Kamloops from Newfoundland. At the time we were living out of a hotel and we were about to rely on take out. We got a craving for pasta and my partner looked up on yelp the best pasta in town. Peters Pasta was #1, for good reason. Never have we had such delicious goodness on a plate! We rave about this place to anyone who has never been there before and we bring our visitors from away here as a 'must have' dinner! So, tonight, marking our 5 years of moving Kamloops we went back to Peters Pasta (we do this every Nov. 3). The atmosphere, the food and the friendly smiling faces are what makes this little place of goodness so unique, amazing and perfect. It still remains #1 on our list! read more

Yummy pasta (homemade noodles!), homie feel and terrific service! I highly recommend!!

This is a very popular/busy restaurant, and we left full enough, however their product seems very low cost for the price we paid. Ie Nothing special. And we were all disappointed with the fat spaghetti type noodles we were served. Texture was not pleasant. I guess some love the place so wouldn't tell people to not go, but my kids have not asked to go back so we probably won't. read more

Very busy already when I arrived at 5:15pm. 8 tables already seated when they just opened at 5pm. Aromas of bread invites me as I walked in. Water was immediately served as I sat down. There's a ice cream/gelato bar inside the restaurant. Food was OK. Tastes like a meal one would have if one has an Italian friend and his/her mom cooked pasta. Service was kind of lacking. Peter was attentive, while the two girls saw me looking at them (more than once) with my hand up, but they just ignored me. read more

This place is a great spot for some delicious comfort food. The service is very fast and friendly even when totally full. There are lots of options on the menu: pastas with something like 20 sauces, meat & seafood options, and pasta-free dishes. All the pasta dishes we got were perfectly cooked, and delicious. There are lots of fun Gelato flavors for dessert as well as fabulous chocolate mousse, and a bunch of other options. I saw a few mentions of waiting for a table. We arrived at 6.15 pm on a busy Saturday night with a party of 3. We were seated by 6.30 and the food came really quickly! By the time we left at 7.15 there were several free tables and no line. Top tip: Tuesday night special is currently $16 for all you can eat spaghetti bolognese. read more

This is as close as you'll get to Italy here in Kamloops! They fill up fast and have limited hours, or maybe I am just unlucky at getting there a the right time! read more

Did not expect to find such a nice Italian place in Kamloops on our way through. The pasta is FRESH - as are the sauces. Do yourself a favor and get the mushroom sauce. The creamy tomato is good too, but I ended up putting the mushroom sauce from my partner's dish on mine anyway. Lots of options - meat, seafood, etc. Busy place but they manage to squeeze us in. Great for families! read more

Can't find enough good things to say about our dinner here. Recommended by our Kamloops friends, we came a long ways (from Oregon!) to experience it. Superb staff, all working in unison to make every table feel like they're the only ones.. we six tried five different entrees. Everyone claiming the "most this", the "most that"! Homemade pasta sets it apart. Two of us licked the bowls of seafood pasta, served up with garlic...GARLIC, bread...when I went to pay the bill the owner, a magician at his kitchen, asked how it was...how often does that happen?! We'd return in a minute,. read more

Consistently worth the line up. Great pasta dishes and often with leftovers!

60 or so seats in a cozy restaurant. We arrived just before 6 on Friday to find not many seats available. It was busy! We were seated quickly and had another couple join us. Pasta is homemade and between the ravioli in bolognese, seafood pasta, Caesar salad and bruschetta, the mail was fantastic Truly a hidden gem in downtown Kamloops read more

Best pasta place in this city, always consistent, always hot, always yummy. A family favourite.

Ordered a garden salad, Caesar salad, spaghetti Bolognese, and a creamy chicken pesto special. The meals came with garlic bread. I thought the salads were amazing. Unique dressing on the garden salad that tasted homemade and seemed to consist in grainy mustard, lemon, oil, and thyme, emulsified/creamy. The Caesar salad had a unique flavour that I liked. Maybe lots of anchovies? The pasta sauces were underwhelming to say the least. The Bolognese sauce was not what I was expecting at all (a thick meat sauce with a home of tomato). Instead it was basically a tomato sauce with meat and unfortunately had that same flavour and texture that you get in a tomato/meat sauce from Boston Pizza or any pizza joint that sells pasta. The creamy pesto sauce was very creamy with not much pesto which meant it was a bit bland. The chicken was good though--cooked nicely and was not too dried out. The other disappointing thing was the garlic bread. The bread was boring Safeway-style baguettes. Not tasty and not a great texture--too dense. It was cut very thick and in the end tested more like plain bread than toasted bread. read more

When the owner of a homemade pasta place in a heavy Italian accent asks, "if you like Cesar salads?" and you reply with yes and he then all heavy Italian accent says, "get a cesar, you will enjoy it." You obviously have only one choice.. One of the most pleasurable dining experiences I've encountered. Everything was fantastic! The most perfect al dente thick noodles to the most delectable scallops, not the mention the amazing Creme Brulee paird with an exquisite wine. Hats off to Peter and staff. read more

This is a small place and every customer is given that personal touch. It's a pasta place so don't come here looking for pizza or seafood. They have a good variety of pasta plates and are all put together well. My favourite starter is the mixed salad plate. We don't go here nearly enough. read more

Peter's Pasta - Italian Near Me - Kamloops, British Columbia

Peter's was our favorite place for pasta when Mama was cooking. Portions were large and flavours to die for. Since the kids took over though, portions seem to have gotten smaller while the prices have gone up. Our last time there, I had the Seafood Safron and a Caesar Salad. Once seated, the waters came right away, but it was room temperature and no ice. The hostess took our order and the Caesar followed fairly quickly. Their Caesar was and still is one of the best I have ever had. The entree though was somewhat lacking. The sauce was rather bland and the pasta slightly undercooked while the shrimps were a bit overdone. Also the garlic bread was dry and tough. We will probably go back and try again and hope that maybe this was just an off night. read more

I hate say this but it's true, about fifteen years ago me and my elderly parents walked into this place a couple of minutes before lunch and told to get out, they weren't open yet!! WE DID! I still live in town never went back!! read more

Ate here on a Tuesday night when passing through town. It's clearly a locally-owned favorite. Also, on Tuesday nights they offer all-you-eat spaghetti and meat sauce, which was very popular. We ordered Caesar Salad and Bruschetta to start, which were excellent and are recommended for sharing. We had pasta dishes for the main course, all were very good. The portions were large; we left full and on the verge of a carb-coma. Peter's offers a decent beer menu, including Italian brewed "Moretti", but no draft on tap. The table wine was decent and complimented the pasta well. When I compare Peter's to Italian restaurants in small centres, it is well above the others. A dinner for a family of 4, with 2 beer, 2 pop and a 1/2 of Chianti was $150. read more

Family owned restaurant meets cool little Italian eatery. You can tell the pasta is homemade with the first bite! The vibe from regulars to out of towners like myself was good, light was dim and the service was top notch. We had the bruschetta that was huge, a fettuccine Alfredo and a saffron seafood dish that was mouth watering. NOTE: order the creme brûlée first as this homemade dish sells out! read more

Excellent hand made pasta that is made fresh daily. I'd call this a hidden gem except that everyone in Kamloops knows about it. Getting a table can be a challenge any night of the week unless you show up when they open at 5pm or after 8pm (no reservations). I'd give it five stars but the ambiance could be improved as a portion of the restaurant still holds a sandwich bar that used to be open during lunch. Still, it doesn't detract from excellent food. read more

I am such a pasta fan and my sweet Mum made the best ever. Now a days, my hubby and I make a bee line to Peter's. love Peter's Pasta, the food and service is the best. They remember you when you come in for a wonderful meal and they also remember what you ordered from the last time you were there. In fact they tease me about not giving me a menu as I always order the same. Keep up the good work, it is a lovely place to dine and I would move in there if I could :-) read more

This casual pasta restaurant was better than expected. The handmade pasta was al dente and the tomato cream sauce had a hint of spice. It was served with chicken that was grilled until crispy, but still tender (a tricky thing to do). Also had the seafood pasta, which was rustic and satisfying. Tables with candles, more formal than family, though there were people in suits and tee shirts alike. We were underdressed after a long day of driving, but didn't feel uncomfortable at all. I would go back. read more

Peter's Pasta... The name says it all... minus the heads up about the abnormally busy hole in the wall. Peter serves all the tables and makes a point of connecting with everyone in this small, but charming Italian nook. The pasta is consistently above average... nothing too fancy, thus it really reminds me of great home cooked food. One of my favorite dining locations. read more

food is ok but hardly as incredible as some claim. service is so so. And by that i mean slow slow. it seems like a place that has just been here for a long time and is hard to get into (doesn't take reservations) so it MUST be good! right? it's ok. it's not fast whatsoever bc one person serves you aNd everyone else in there. First rate-I don't think that you could get better homemade pasta in little Italy in NYC. Served by the owner, who was a very humorous guy.
