It had been more than a week and it wasn't clearing up on its own. I could have gone to urgent care but I preferred to see a specialist. I called the front desk and the receptionist, Jenna, was super compassionate about my situation. The soonest I could be seen was two days out, so I booked the appointment anyway. Jenna assured me that I would be called in case there is a cancellation before then that could be filled. Sure enough, not even 10 minutes later I get a call back that there was a cancellation and that I could come in half an hour later. Dr. Olsen was able to diagnose my condition very quickly and was very attentive to my concerns and questions. I was out of the examination room within 15 minutes and never felt rushed. My great experience was largely due to luck, but everyone made the experience all the more flawless despite my diagnosis. I am so happy that I trusted Aspen Mountain Dermatology with my needs!

A couple of months after my visit to the West Bend office, I received a letter in the mail from…read moreBend Dermatology saying that I was delinquent on my balance and that they made multiple attempts to collect but failed. This is completely untrue since I never received a phone call or voicemail message or letter in the mail. The ONLY communication from them regarding this was the letter saying I've been referred to their collection agency. Bend Dermatology charged me a $3.70 collection fee and I had to pay the collection agency $2.50 to pay the balance (which was $23.18) via credit card (checks are free) so I paid $6.20 more than the balance due to these shenanigans. Save yourself the inconvenience and incompetence of this business and look elsewhere. I should have looked at Yelp before making an appointment with Bend Dermatology as the low ratings (that are well earned) would have caused me to go somewhere else. BTW, my PCP referred me to Bend Dermatology so the next time I see her, I'll let her know that this is a disservice to her patients.

After several months my deratiitis was spreading . Neither cream was working. Luckily I found Deschutes Dermatology and Dr. Baxter. She changed my medication and after 5 weeks my dermatitis was gone. The doctor said to continue to take the medication because dermatits can still come and go in the effective area. I have had toenail fungus for over 15 years. I discussed with the doctor the pros and cons of taking internal medication to aleaviate this pesky problem. Have to grow my nails out for 3 weeks. Then will send the toenail clippings to the lab to see what course of action to take. I have found a dermatologist I can trust. Will follow up with my story in the near future.

I believe she is a doctor who worked at the hospital and transitioned to open her own med spa. I love that she has extensive clinical experience OUTSIDE of the beauty world. It made me feel safe and like I was going to receive quality care no matter what. The procedure: She really took her time to understand my desired look. I was also open to her opinions and she helped me to create the perfect NATURAL pout. Pain wise (for me) I'd say it was 3/10. The numbing ointment really helped. Post-care: She sent me home with a post-injection serum. I actually think it really helped to get the bruising/swelling down quickly. You can see in my photos that by day 6 I was pretty well healed! Scheduling: While most spa's in Bend were booked 4 weeks out, Dr. Carey was able to fit me in the next week. She spent about 20 minutes on the phone to make sure she answered all of my questions. I felt safe and excited for my big day! The facility: It's the perfect combo of home-y & clinical. It is bright, clean, and is located inside of a cute little cottage in a great part of town. Parking was a breeze. Miscellaneous: Dr. Carey helped me pick out a few sunscreens & a retinol product. She has a great variety of brands and formulas. If you are getting any aesthetic work done, I would absolutely recommend Bend Aesthetics & Wellness. Can't wait for my next visit!
