If I could rate this facility a 0, I would. Not only did…read morethe dentist perform a botched root canal (I ended up losing the tooth entirely) which he specifically told me he didn't like doing, and charged me over $2,500 for. But they were rude and condescending with their payment collection letter. Stating I was 'unwilling' to pay. They don't know that. I was not unwilling, I was merely only able to pay in smaller increments. Then they said that if I didn't pay in full, it would be, and I quote, 'unpleasant for both of us'. Awful customer/patient service. They are lucky haven't taken my X-rays, showing the failed root canal, from my new dentist to a lawyer yet. Do NOT go to this dentist. Unless, you are ready to lose your teeth. Awful.

In 2017 I visited this dentist, to ensure I did nit need work done after a major upcoming surgery…read more Found out I needed a root canal & crown AFTER the surgery. Then, the crown had too much cement crammed under the gum line, another dentist had to fix it. Then, they mis- quoted me on insurance costs. Now, in 2025, I have a bone infection under the root canal, liquified bone, horrible pain & a ton of money to fix. I also have to wait 8-10 months to see if the bone will regenerate, or I have to have surgery. Why? Because this unqualified dentist missed a branch of the root, left it in, and it got infected. Stay away from this practice. Everyone in it is below par, from the dentist to the insurance staff!

Waiting all weekend only to find that your usual dentist is going to be out of town for a week on…read moreMonday is the beginning of any tooth pain nightmarish journey, especially when your usual dentist doesn't have anyone to recommend. And dentists terrify me. Enough about me, Dr. Fordham's office was filled with angels of mercy who found me a spot on the schedule within the hour. They were kind, understanding and listened to all my "wah wah wah" without judgment. I was certain that they were just covering for the terrible dentist who was threatening them (because really ... all dentists are scary, right?) BUT NO! Dr. Fordham was awesome. Did I mention that he was awesome? Furthermore, he didn't judge me either. For not going to the dentist more often. Which is going to change, because he's awesome. His treatment plan didn't include ripping out teeth or root canals or chaining me to rocks for monsters to eat me either. He gently, clearly and in real language explained to me that I needed to follow through with the peridontal plan... and if I did, I'd probably live. And if I do (and I probably will) I have a new dentist.

Dr. Austin Woodland hits all the marks for me. I've had a few cavities filled, and now as of a month ago, a root canal all done by Dr. Woodland and his offices and I am just so very impressed! Dr. Woodland is extremely gentle, quick to problem solve and has excellent bedside manner. He makes sure you are very numb too which for me is a great thing LOL Every appointment is a breeze at their extremely clean and modernly designed Sequim office location. The ladies and gentlemen at the front end of the office are equally polite and very helpful. Overall... I was a bit apprehensive as I had let my dental care go for a few years during the pandemic. I was also apprehensive as he is a newer dentist.. BUT I was very, very wrong!!! Glad I kept an open mind as Dr. Austin Woodland is the best dentist I've seen in my life. Definitely recommend! Bonus points for the massaging and heated dental chairs :)

Some credit is due. I have a filling by Dr. Despain that is still going strong after many years,…read moredespite being on an incisor. Dr. Despain's work is of higher quality than some of the other service providers in that office. It costs a lot of money for the initial appointments, and then it will cost you more money down the road to repair problems caused by those initial appointments. It happened to me when a filling in 2019 blocked food between the teeth and then required a root canal on the adjacent tooth in 2022. Now this is happening again to my dad who is retired. A faulty crown had a 108 dollar meeting where they didn't even open his mouth. There's talk of 6000 dollars in repairs for a problem they arguably caused (according to my mother who was a registered dental assistant). I went to a different office in 2022, and will tell my parents to do the same now. Advice: take good daily care of your teeth and keep all dentists away; if you do need one, you can find better and cheaper.

I cannot tell you how pleased I am with my experience with Heritage and Dr. Quinn. Her approach to…read moreeverything, including how the practice functions, is entirely unique and amazing. I was referred to her my new dentist after having some long-term problem teeth. Dr. Quinn diagnosed in less than 10 mins what 6 dentists in 8 years could not. She made conservative but very knowledge-based recommendations, based on her findings and made sure I understood everything and answered every single question without judgement or hesitation. She is so funny and personable too, and I dont think I have ever met someone else who personifies what a good doctor should be. The staff is amazing and I had a great experience with Ava-- she was funny and great! I was actually weirdly sad when leaving-- I didnt need a root canal and I would not be coming back. What a beautiful and strange experience I have never had at a dental office!!! I highly recommend her and her staff to everyone who needs an endodontist. The tech she uses is so high advanced and she was just such an amazing doctor, I cannot say this enough.

First of all, dentists = extreme anxiety for me. So much so I haven't been for over 7 years!…read more Alas, one of my teeth broke and I was forced to face my fears. I called three offices in the area, and Steim Family Dentist was the only one that offered to get me in the next day!! Fast forward to procedure day. The front desk employees are welcoming and efficient. The office is clean and cozy. The dental assistant was so cheerful and helpful. She made sure I was comfortable and helped me feel calm. Another woman came in to inject the numbing medication. This woman was the absolute best!!!! I never felt the pinch or the pressure of the injection that I have always experienced in the past! Well done!!!! The dentist is also friendly and calming. He let me know step you step what was happening during the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. I'm quite pleased with the finished work as well. If you are on the Olympic peninsula, I highly recommend Steim Family Dentist!!!!
