Just so you know: The Brown County Antique Mall is actually three different buildings…read more The main one, which sits just off the road, is your typical antique store. It has all kinds of tchotchkes, doodads, baubles, trinkets and other old and unique miscellany. The store is separated into booths, and there are different things in each booth. I saw all kinds of things that I wanted, but I had to physically stop myself from buying some of the vintage milk glass mugs. No one needs a milk glass mug with a buffalo on it, but the heart wants what the heart wants, sometimes. If you leave the main building and walk outside, and then turn to the right, you will see the second building: Route 46 Vintage. This vintage store deserves its own review, so you can read my separate review for that. But I'll just say that this is where you'll find funky vintage clothing and accessories. Then, there's a little shed-looking building that has more antiques and fun stuff, and also handmade goods from local artisans. Basically, the Brown County Antique Mall is a little campus full of eclectic treasures. You can definitely spend an hour or so here (or more!) looking through all of the stuff and buying all the things.

So fun looking through all the booths in this antique shop. We spent a few hours looking and as we…read morewere checking out we found out there were 2 more buildings! So we are definitely going back to this shop to check out what we missed and to see what new items were added by the vendors. The building we did see was a good size and the variety abounds. I love costume jewelry and was able to find several pieces that I liked and I brought home. There were big outdoor items on the front porch when we walked up. The place is right on the highway and easy to get to with adequate parking. The prices in the booths varied greatly with some being very reasonable and some I thought were high but I think that is the same as most antique/vintage stores of this type. We had a lot of fun shopping there and when we checked out the cashier was nice and helpful and told us about a couple store policies that we asked about. I will attach a lot of pics to show the variety here.

Gene was a shady buyer to deal with. He marred my seller reputation on facebook marketplace because…read morehe was not able to take no for an answer. I was trying to move and get rid of things without having to hold things for people. No money was exchanged, I was clear and explicit about what was required to purchase from me and I could not make an exception for him in selling. He acknowledged that I should just let the next person take it. Great! But instead of just walking away, he spitefully gave me an 1-star an on "communication" when it was clear he understood because he got upset. Now nothing can be done about that undeserved review. They stopped teaching civics in high school when they started gutting public education in the 80s. If you look at the our world this may be one factor in why people have such a sense of entitlement and cry wolf just because they didn't like something. The item ended up going to a single mom trying to rebuild her life since it was so affordable. Happy it went to someone like her rather than an unscrupulous buyer like Gene. I was cleaning out my messages when I was reminded of this event that happened a year ago. But even if this was more than a year ago, the undeserved review still exists on my profile which goes to show how being angry and pouting for a few minutes can affect others for years. Update: Gene responded to a review I made and claimed his account got hacked and never reviewed me negatively. Then my google review got removed for this shop. However, I don't trust this claim. His review of me as a seller occurred the same day I gave him a heads up that another buyer could pick it up earlier and was giving him the opportunity to come sooner if he was able. I have the time stamps from our interaction. His questionable claim about being hacked to ensure that only reviews he likes appear for his shop further confirms that he hasn't changed and is STILL an unscrupulous buyer and businessperson, when something doesn't go his way.

The owners are very generous and helpful. Gene and Megan always make time for conversations and to…read morehelp let customers know some good shops in their area. The items in the store are always changing and very interesting.

Even though we were a bit intimidated after seeing the large boxes, everything fell into place pretty quickly. The set up was no trouble for 3 adults, the online videos and instructions were very helpful and easy to follow. Thank you for manufacturing such a sturdy and attractive piece of furniture. This compliment is coming from a German, and we are certainly "picky" and expect high quality. You delivered!

I was a bit overwhelmed when it arrived because it required a fair amount of assembly and I've had bad experiences in the past; not from this company but with other products. Oftentimes products that require assembly do not come with good clear instructions. Or the parts are poor quality; threads strip, things break when you try to put them together, etc. I also don't have a great deal of patience when trying to work through projects like this because of lack of customer support or proper instruction. In the case of our Bedder Way bed, however, I was pleasantly surprised. It was still a bit of a project, as it took me over 3 hours to get it all together, although I was working at a somewhat slow, methodical pace as I followed along with the instructions. Whoever wrote the instructions deserves a Pulitzer prize because they could not have been more clear. Everything was explained in such a way that there was no confusion about how things were going to fit together. Parts were all clearly labeled with photographs. The instructions were careful to point out what the user needed to watch for before proceeding to the next step. Adequate warnings were given along the way, such as needing at least two people to lift the frame into place when mounting it to the wall and making sure you have it securely mounted to studs in the wall, or have another method that is equally secure. The quality of the wood and all the individual parts were top notch. I can't believe that such a project came together without me getting frustrated with the process at any point.
