This shop has very nice decor items and furniture. They also had some clothing. The Blackbird Nest specializes in redesigned modern, antique and vintage furniture along with home decor, lamps, new clothing, bath and body products, prints, florals and wreaths plus holiday decor. The shop has several smaller rooms with various items incorporated throughout but items are organized well and prices are clearly marked. I liked seeing furniture, clothing, home and holiday decor all tastefully arranged together in each space. The store has a few narrow isleway's but most are spacious enough to browse comfortably down. They do have a dressing room to try on clothing you are interested in. The volunteer staff is super friendly, cheerful and welcoming. We were told their story and encouraged to look around. Prices ranged from really reasonable to high. Clearance tables were in the back. Inventory changes regularly. The building is upscale from the outside and a little hard to find as it is located at the end of one way street. There is street parking around the building. Worth a visit if you're remodeling and looking unique decor.

I will definitely be going back soon to pickup those items if they still have them! Perusing this store was a joy for me as they had so many things in my style. A bit quirky, a bit funny, and so unique. I love cats and there was a tall wooden cat that would have fit perfectly on my hearth and that is one of the things I am returning for. This is a business located in a strip mall and operated by a local couple. They were very helpful…read morewhen I was looking to get my new couch and showed me some of the floor models and after I narrowed down what I wanted they walked me through my color options. It was simple and easy. They were not pushy or overbearing trying to make a sell. After everything was set up and I decided what I wanted, they were up front and told me that it would be about 8 or 9 months for the furniture to come in due to COVID. So, they asked that I put half down on my furniture and pay the remaining balance when the furniture comes in. I normally would be a bit hesitant to give that much money to some businesses because without getting the product. However, I felt comfortable doing it with them and did so without hesitation. During the wait, I called a few times and they gladly gave me updates on my sectional. They called me right away when it came in. It was a month earlier than they had predicted. They offer a delivery service for a fee, I think like $150 or so. But I could not wait and just rented a U-Haul and got a buddy and went and picked up the sectional myself. The process was seamless and pretty easy. The only issue, which was out of their control, was the long wait. This business is run by a wonderful couple who is very knowledgeable about furniture. They made the sometime daunting task of furniture shopping easy and enjoyable. I recommend checking this place out for your furniture needs. They are honest, upfront, and friendly.

Our purchases were made during the thick of COVID in 2020 and were told you front that it would take 8-10 weeks for our sectional to arrive. We were so appreciative of their honesty as we could then plan around the timeframe. Debbie is always helpful and goes above and beyond. They carried a ton of adorable vintage Christmas decor. The shop was crowded and people were walking around with their treasures. The excitement was contagious. On this day you pick up a card that has all the participating shops on it and as you shop through each of them you get a stamp from the vendor on your card. Once the card has 10 stamps representing 10 shops than you can leave it at any participating shop to be entered for drawings for gift cards and gift baskets. On this day they also had Easley wines on the table out front and I certainly had to partake. Salvage Sisters is comprised of booths and each one is unique. You honestly never know what you are going to find. I love making my way around the large shop to every single booth. It is good to note that there is a free public parking lot just before you come to this shop on Jefferson.
