Wow. I did not expect such a huge antique mall. Even though I walked through 90% of the mall I…read moredidn't stop at each booth, unless something specific caught my eye, because I was limited on time. I'm sure I could've spent hours and still not have seen everything. Many booths with prices varying. If you needed help there were ways to get ahold of someone without having to walk all the way to the front. I picked up a few treasures that I'm very happy with. Will definitely return.

This is a neat little spot off of exit 76 in Edingdurgh just past the outlets. The only way to…read moredescribe this place is one huge rummage sell. It looks like vendors rent booths in the store and sell their goods. They have some very unique old items such as comic books, shirts, candles, candy, records, toys, knives, swords, stuffed animals, signs, jewelry and postcards clothes. One of the most unique things I saw during my visit was a Vietnam-era Army Coat. There are tons of items here to browse. Because the store has independent vendor booths, you may able able to negotiate with the vendor to get a lower price on some items. This is a neat little spot that even though it is huge, it is clean and very well organized. You could spend a considerable amount of time going through here. I recommend checking this place out if you are in the area and looking for some odd or/or unique finds.

Just so you know: The Brown County Antique Mall is actually three different buildings…read more The main one, which sits just off the road, is your typical antique store. It has all kinds of tchotchkes, doodads, baubles, trinkets and other old and unique miscellany. The store is separated into booths, and there are different things in each booth. I saw all kinds of things that I wanted, but I had to physically stop myself from buying some of the vintage milk glass mugs. No one needs a milk glass mug with a buffalo on it, but the heart wants what the heart wants, sometimes. If you leave the main building and walk outside, and then turn to the right, you will see the second building: Route 46 Vintage. This vintage store deserves its own review, so you can read my separate review for that. But I'll just say that this is where you'll find funky vintage clothing and accessories. Then, there's a little shed-looking building that has more antiques and fun stuff, and also handmade goods from local artisans. Basically, the Brown County Antique Mall is a little campus full of eclectic treasures. You can definitely spend an hour or so here (or more!) looking through all of the stuff and buying all the things.

So fun looking through all the booths in this antique shop. We spent a few hours looking and as we…read morewere checking out we found out there were 2 more buildings! So we are definitely going back to this shop to check out what we missed and to see what new items were added by the vendors. The building we did see was a good size and the variety abounds. I love costume jewelry and was able to find several pieces that I liked and I brought home. There were big outdoor items on the front porch when we walked up. The place is right on the highway and easy to get to with adequate parking. The prices in the booths varied greatly with some being very reasonable and some I thought were high but I think that is the same as most antique/vintage stores of this type. We had a lot of fun shopping there and when we checked out the cashier was nice and helpful and told us about a couple store policies that we asked about. I will attach a lot of pics to show the variety here.

They have some nice stuff here, including a lot more furniture than I expected. They have more room upstairs for browsing too. But the barn seems small compared to the antique mall next door, so unless there is something here that screams "Buy me!", it's kind of hard to rate it higher. Be aware that this is an old barn and has a raised center aisle to walk on. That means low head clearance for air ducts, so watch out. Also, if you are rubber-necking and not looking down, the step down into the rooms/booths on the first floor is large (maybe a 10" drop!) and it would be easy to stumble if you aren't paying attention. Fortunately, the owner did mark the steps in yellow and write "Step" on the ground, but who looks down when you are surrounded by stuff at eye level? I guess I should have. On the positive side, there were some beautiful furniture pieces and a really cool store counter that had shelves that extend all the way through the counter, having a display window on the outside of the piece. This allowed you to see what was in the drawer as a purchaser. Not sure what you would do with this at home, but it was an ingenious piece of Americana. Review #1959
