Came to Nashville for the day and this store was open as of 6/1/2020. Lots of old antiques,…read moretreasures, trinkets, plants, etc. I really enjoyed this store! I got some classic, old, baby books for a good friend of mine's little one. Alice and wonderland, the three bears (you know, the one with portage made just right?), and more! The printed version I got were mostly from the 1970s. I also found an old Canada map, that I fell in love with the cover. (Of a women in a convertible cruising down a street with very mod flowers everywhere). It was from 1976 and I plan to frame it. (I'll add pictures once I'm able)

Just so you know: The Brown County Antique Mall is actually three different buildings…read more The main one, which sits just off the road, is your typical antique store. It has all kinds of tchotchkes, doodads, baubles, trinkets and other old and unique miscellany. The store is separated into booths, and there are different things in each booth. I saw all kinds of things that I wanted, but I had to physically stop myself from buying some of the vintage milk glass mugs. No one needs a milk glass mug with a buffalo on it, but the heart wants what the heart wants, sometimes. If you leave the main building and walk outside, and then turn to the right, you will see the second building: Route 46 Vintage. This vintage store deserves its own review, so you can read my separate review for that. But I'll just say that this is where you'll find funky vintage clothing and accessories. Then, there's a little shed-looking building that has more antiques and fun stuff, and also handmade goods from local artisans. Basically, the Brown County Antique Mall is a little campus full of eclectic treasures. You can definitely spend an hour or so here (or more!) looking through all of the stuff and buying all the things.

Plum Creek Antiques is small but has a nice array of antiques and collectibles from the Midwest…read more The shop is on the corner of Gatesville Road in Bean Blossom. The owners are down-home Midwest friendly and engaging. There is a large barn with rooms filled with bottles, jars, tools, glassware, furniture and much more. It's the kind of place that you can poke around to find what you want. The prices are reasonable. There are garden type items outside and in out buildings. I picked up a couple plates for $4. There are a couple parking places next to the building.

You can spend hours going booth to booth and still not see it all. This place is more than an indoor flea market. For me it was a walk down memory lane, seeing some of the same dishes or china that were in my home growing up. For my granddaughter, Treasures is a place where she found some old barbies, including clothes and accessories for a fraction of what they would cost new. For my grandson, it is a place to find cool IT accessories for his iPhone or used old swords/ knives which he is into right now. During several visits, I found two dressers and two side tables that were well made and fit the bill for what I was needing. The furniture room quickly became my favorite room in the store. One of my favorite booths is an extensive collection of salt and pepper shakers. The pair I bought look like bowling pins. I have been to Treasures a handful of times so far and yet each time I go I notice things I failed to see during prior visits plus more items are being brought in regularly. You could visit each week and find new "treasures" that you can't live without!

I was impressed that the booths were all well kept, not filled with junky stuff that someone would find at a flea market or garage sale. Well, maybe some of that stuff, but generally there was a better quality of items than I've seen at a lot of places. There seemed to be a fair amount of furniture and oil paintings. There were Coca-Cola and some Barbie items too. However, the number of pure antiques was relatively low. And some of the items were well worn, so maybe not quite collectible, but the pricing seemed to reflect the condition. Seems like a decent place to stop if you enjoy browsing through these places.
