The building is filled with antique furniture, hardware, doors, kitchen ware and assorted knickknacks. I even saw a kitchen sink. Several vintage cameras caught my eye. The volunteer staff is super friendly, cheerful and welcoming. We were told their story and encouraged to look around. Prices ranged from really reasonable to high. Clearance tables were in the back. Inventory changes regularly. The building is upscale from the outside and a little hard to find as it is located at the end of one way street. There is street parking around the building. Worth a visit if you're remodeling and looking unique decor.

This is a really large store with two floors. Upstairs is all clothing and accessories. Do yourself a favor and grab a basket when you go in. I walked past so many things because I didn't want to carry them around the store, but then forgot where I saw everything. The layout is slightly confusing, but there are tape arrows on the floor and "you are here" maps posted around. The prices do vary by booth. A few of the things I wanted seemed on the expensive side but a quick google search confirmed they were indeed accurate prices. Sometimes the cute stuff is expensive! The staff are also great about holding stuff for you at checkout until you're ready to checkout. This time around I only bought a small metal sleigh for Xmas decor, but there's about 50 more things I wanted to buy but didn't really need.

The clerks welcomed me when I entered and asked if they could help me. They told me about sales in many booths. Most booths were had clearance prices with prices up to 50% off. A friendly old shaggy dog makes its way past customers. The shop is filled with soaps, candles, jewelry and primitive antiques. I searched through every nook and cranny. Each room is creatively decorated. I found a Christmas ornament that I couldn't live without. Actually, I found several, but settled on one. The shop was filled with laughter, as clerks removed ornaments from trees. This made me happy. There is a restroom filled with whimsical antiques. The shop is a little difficult to see from the road, but they had banners out to pull people in. Parking is somewhat limited, but I didn't have trouble finding a spot. Well worth a visit.

There are all kinds of beverages to enjoy. All kinds of hors d'oeuvres are served. It puts people in a holiday spirit. I always finds something to take home. The stall owners are very helpful. Each stall is so personalized that you can find something special hidden in corners. Discovery is fun. The prices vary. I found a lovely candlestick for $5! Just what I was looking for. Of course I've been back several times. Once I walked in the door and within a minute I saw the exact Christmas tree I was looking for. SOLD. I hope people check out this quirky shop.

I visited as part of a special Christmas open house sponsored by the downtown merchants. So, of course, the small shop was filled with interesting Christmas items such as vintage blow molds and ornaments. The clerk was friendly in this independently owned shop. The prices were on the high side, so I reluctantly left empty handed. I parked on about a block north and walked as there was no nearby parking.

I picked a nice old 12 pane window in this shop about 2 years ago. I like digging through the treasures to be had here. This is not a huge shop but still fun. This time I found a small bundle of old recipes and newspaper clippings. It was do much fun digging through them when I got home! Some recipes I will try and some there was absolutely no way I would try lol. The gal that runs this shop is always so friendly and seems to get joy from speaking to every person who comes in. This shop has very nice decor items and furniture. They also had some clothing. The Blackbird Nest specializes in redesigned modern, antique and vintage furniture along with home decor, lamps, new clothing, bath and body products, prints, florals and wreaths plus holiday decor. The shop has several smaller rooms with various items incorporated throughout but items are organized well and prices are clearly marked. I liked seeing furniture, clothing, home and holiday decor all tastefully arranged together in each space. The store has a few narrow isleway's but most are spacious enough to browse comfortably down. They do have a dressing room to try on clothing you are interested in. If you're in Franklin make time to visit Blackbird Nest. Terrific location for gifts, clothing and unique furniture.

The clerk was friendly, answered questions and laughed with customers. There's a wonderful small town vibe here. It was nice to see a lot of actual antiques. Many areas are arranged by color, making dramatic (instagram worthy) displays. They have a lot of glassware and ceramics, some primitive, jewelry, but not much furniture. I like to look around and reminisce about things my grandmother may have used. I thought most of the prices were reasonable. Since the building is old, there are a several uneven walkways that are marked. We had trouble finding parking, as all the street spaces were full. Yellow Moon is well worth a visit if you like antiques.
