I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Peter Andrews in Huntington, New York. I purchased a sectional outdoor seating set, which arrived damaged and scratched. I immediately contacted the store and they agreed to arrange an exchange. However, the replacement piece I received was also damaged and poorly assembled, with nails sticking out of the furniture.
I reached out to the manager, Lisa, who assured me that they would send another piece for replacement. Unfortunately, the third piece I received also had scratches all over it. Frustrated, I decided to inspect the delivery truck myself to see if the issue was occurring during transportation. To my dismay, I discovered marks all over the furniture, which Lisa claimed were manufacturer defects.
I promptly sent video and pictures of the scratches to Lisa, hoping for a resolution. I also made a note with the delivery man and told them to also take pictures and make a note. However, when I contacted her for the third time, expressing my desire to return the defective item for a refund, she didn't even respond. Instead, she arranged for yet another drop-off of the same piece, this time with the scratches covered up with marker and paint. Not remembering that I had the original video from the third time that she tried to replace the same exact item.
Not only am I deeply dissatisfied with the lack of customer service, but Peter Andrews has done nothing to rectify the situation. They have failed to communicate with me about their plans to resolve the issue, and they are refusing to accept the return of their defective item. Their excuse that the scratches are manufacturer defects is completely unfounded, as the pictures clearly show deep scratches
I am appalled by the deceptive practices of Peter Andrews in Huntington, New York. They have repeatedly sent me damaged and poorly assembled furniture, and have made no effort to address the situation or provide a satisfactory resolution. I strongly advise against doing business with this store, as their lack of integrity and disregard for customer satisfaction is truly disheartening.
In addition to the numerous issues I encountered with Peter Andrews in Huntington, New York, I must also highlight their exorbitant pricing practices. It came to my attention that the furniture they sell is actually from Ashley Furniture's signature line, yet they charge an outrageous amount under the guise of assembly and delivery fees.
It is truly baffling that Peter Andrews would mark up the prices of these items to such an extent, especially when customers can easily find the same furniture at more reasonable prices elsewhere. It is clear that they are taking advantage of unsuspecting customers by inflating the costs and labeling them as additional charges.
If you are in the market for furniture, I strongly advise against purchasing from Peter Andrews. Instead, I recommend exploring other options such as Overstock or even going directly to Ashley Furniture itself. By doing so, you can avoid the unnecessary and excessive charges imposed by Peter Andrews and ensure that you are getting the best value for your money. read more
