After a nasty bike fall, Dr. Karsant and his team had restored my fractured teeth. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Karsant and their incredible team (shoutout to Mary, JoAnn, and Jocelyn)! Whether it's a routine cleaning or a more complex dental procedure, I always feel like I'm in the best hands possible. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist! read more

If I could give 1000 negative stars, I would. DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In April 19, 2023, I was given a $4,000 quote to do gum surgery. The dentist tried to upsell me then and said it would be better to do my entire upper jaw. In May 2023, after giving some thoughts, I called back and spoke to the dentist's wife, who quoted me $5,000 for my entire upper jaw per her husband/the dentist's recommendation, and that she would have her husband/the dentist to call me back to confirm some details. The husband/dentist called, and he confirmed that he would do surgery on my entire upper jaw, molar to molar, for the price that his wife quoted. We confirmed 2 surgery dates in July. Last week, I called and spoke to the dentist wife to confirm my appointment for today. Today (07-17-23) , I showed up to my appointment, and right away I was told by the dentist's wife that they have revised my quote, and it's now $2500 more for a total of 7500!!!!! Had she just tell me that they just magically increased their price by 50% on surgery day when I spoke to her last week, I would HAVE SAID NO, CANCELL MY APPOINTMENT and NEVER WOULD HAVE WASTED MY TIME TO SHOW UP. WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I have been a long standing patient of Dr. Peter Karsant. He is an amazing dentist and I appreciate the fact that he does all of the work on your teeth. Personally, he has performed my root canals, filings, and veneers. The only thing I was ever referred out to was to get braces, as an adult. Dr. Karsant did such an outstanding job on my veneers that I receive ongoing compliments on how "perfect" my teeth look. Although I moved out of San Francisco years ago, I still make the commute to see him. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I refer everyone looking for a dentist in SF to Dr. Karsant. Even my husband, who has never been a big fan of dentists, now goes to Dr. Karsant and is very happy with his care. Everyone in his office are very personable and professional. read more

TL;DR: The office charged me for something they said they wouldn't, never sent a bill, and sent it to collections. I'd love to give this office a higher rating, but shady business dealings has forced me to give them 1 star. I'd been in for a cleaning, and it was recommended i get a more advanced cleaning. When they asked if I wanted to, I specifically asked 'Does my insurance cover it? because if not I don't' and the Doctor said 'We'll do this instead. You won't have to pay for this, and it will work. So I said 'If I don't have to pay anything I'm fine' Fast forward to the appointment date, and after I was told I'd be mailed a bill. A bill? But he said my insurance covers all of this. When i told the receptionist what the doctor said, the receptionist she said "He shouldn't have said that. I'm sorry, but it costs you $XX" I leave, annoyed, but figure when I get the bill I'll call the insurance and see what I can do. It never comes. A few months later I get a call from the office asking what my address is. I told them, and they said they've been sending it there, but it's getting returned as 'this person has moved' which is strange, because I've been receiving mail., and had mail. I never heard from the office again, and after I long period I got a letter from a collections agency. While the staff was nice, it's awful to bill someone you said you wouldn't, not mail out something you said you would, and potentially harm their credit, because of mistakes on your end. Poor customer service. Will not go back. read more

all was fine until my kid had his wisdom teeth taken out. A few hours after we called the office to ask a question. They answered it and said they'd call us back around 4:00pm to find out if the bleeding got better. At 4:10 we called the office and the answering machine picked up! No one called us back to tell us what to do with the still bleeding wound. That is not cool!!! read more

I initially saw Dr. Karsant for a consultation to have a tooth extracted. Both Dr. Karsant and his staff were extremely friendly and professional. Dr. Karsant did a great job of explaining the procedure and proceeded to extracted the tooth quickly and precisely. Subsequently, the extraction healed up quick and cleanly. I will definitely be using Dr. Karsant as my regular dentist and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent dentist in the SF/Peninsula Area. read more

Been coming here for years and it's a shame that I'm only doing a review now. This is my family's dentist. I highly recommend this guy for all your general dentistry needs. Very impressionable staff. VERY GOOD with kids. read more

This office is very unprofessional. They cancelled appointments on me twice. Once happened the same day when I had already requested time off from work. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they said their equipment blew out due to the storm. I thought it was strange they did not have back up equipment but I thought I'd give them a second chance. Over a month later I'm scheduled for my appointment and they call to cancel it because the doctor plans to go out of town. I have again already put in for the time off! So unprofessional to just move patients around like that when it can affect someone's job to keep asking for time off like that. Luckily I found another dentist quick so I didn't have to go back to my boss a third time to ask for time off! read more

I'm so grateful to have been referred to Dr. Karsant. I've been a patient at this dental office for decades (since I was a little kid). Today, I had my implant started, and it was way easier than I had imagined. It was fast and pretty much pain-free. The quick pin-point when I got a shot to make me numb was about as bad as it got. During the procedure, I could only feel some of the work being done such as vibrations during the drilling and some sensations while I was getting stitched up. But other than that, there was nothing that I would call pain. I just had to sit back, relax, and close my eyes...and the doctor and his crew did the rest. Simple and not bad at all!!! I was in and out in less than an hour from start to finish! read more

I recently had my wisdom teeth pulled at Dr. Karsant's office. The entire process went very well. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and helpful throughout the entire process including before and after the surgery. The instructions on what to do regarding the procedure both pre and post operation were very clear, and following them resulted in no pain or complications whatsoever. I was back to my normal activities the very same day, people couldn't believe that I had the procedure done just earlier that day. Overall it was a very good experience, and I highly recommend Dr. Karsant. read more
