01-11-2025 Having been cancelled by for a Vet no-show last minute for our previous visit, and having made an appointment for care at 10:15, and having shown up on time for said appointment, one would assume, nay, one would expect, that said appointment would happen on/at (or at least near) that pre-stated appointment time. Nope! We were told the staff would not even be there for another 15 minutes, and would need 5 minutes to set up. No call made to let us know of the delay. Strike 1. Unsurprisingly, at 10:50 we are still waiting to get checked in, and just told the Dr isn't even here yet. Strike 2. * The store itself is clean, bright, and well stocked, but the lack of professionalism, apathetic staff, and disorganized nature of the whole event all add up to equal Strike 3 and our last visit to this location. 11:00 Checked in but still waiting for the Vet. 11:03 Vet is here but they are taking someone's dog who came in after us because it "only" needs a rabies shot. 11:13 Tech is apparently unfamiliar with or (afraid of) handling dogs, but we made it through. - One less reason to visit this part of town again... read more

I just adopted a little Herman's tortoise at this location and the sales person was so very helpful . Michael is a very professional and knowledgeable sales associate and he had loads of patience with me asking so many questions about this tortoise on several occasions. The hood care and insistence that a customer cannot purchase an animal without their strict list of supplies to insure the best care is commendable . My little tortoise. Pretzel, is doing great bc he got good care during his stay at this location and Michael overseeing it too ! read more

I came in today to purchase a tortoise for my nephew and I truly had the best experience. I originally came in and spoke to Joseph whom was such a pleasure and extremely helpful. He wasn't in today when I came back but Colin and Joe were amazing, they got me everything I needed to create the perfect habitat for the tortoise. They literally walked around the store with me, called various stores to get all the needed items, priced check all my items to ensure I had the lowest prices. They both ensured I was educated on the care and habitat for the tortoise! I had the most amazing experience and would never go to another store. I'm only giving this pet grooming a one star because there is no zero. My daughter is visiting from NYC and I brought her beautiful golden doodle puppy to be groomed. My daughter specifically asked for a teddy bear cut. The dog looks like a hairless dog now. The only thing golden about her is her tail. When I complained the groomer said this is what you asked for. I asked to speak to the manager, and showed her the dog and asked her, does this look like a professional grooming job to you? The Manager again blamed the customer by saying the groomer said this is what you asked for. The manager would take no blame for the Groomer's terrible job. I could have done a better job myself. The customer service was terrible, blame the customer for your Groomer's incompetence. Also, they would have to hold this puppy down forcefully, there is no way they would have been able to shave her face down to the skin, and she has scratches all over her face and body. She does not even have hair around her eyes. Please be my guest and see the before and after pictures and tell me who would ask this to be done to their dog. The dog was terrified when we picked her up. I will never use Petco again for anything and I will tell all my friends. read more

I'd like to say that the staff at this location is super friendly and helpful, very customer service oriented, you won't be disappointed. They're well stocked on everything you need for your pets. A special commendation goes to Logan (with a hat, look for him ) he's super friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure you get the help you need on everything you may need for your pet. I was very happy using Petco store and petco grooming for the last four years. I will start with the positive, Elsa was our groomer. She's super sweet, understanding and goes above and beyond. I felt respected by her friendly demeanor and she's very talented and enjoys her job as a dog groomer. She made you feel like a family member. She has great social skills unlike the manger, Bree. Elmo received beautiful haircuts. We will definitely miss her overall pleasant demeanor. I can't give this store a 5 star rating; however, Elsa deserves a five star rating in writing. I wish you well, sweetie pie. Unfortunately, my last time I took Elmo he scratched himself to a bloody mess. Which led to VIP fees. Before my arrival- I knew the rigid manager with the unpleasant demeanor, Bree. I should inform her I will be running a little behind. I had an emergency situation and had to leave my overnight shift to pick up my daughter in Delray. Instead of having an understanding manager, Bree said, "if you don't get here by 9:16am; I cannot take Elmo!" Bree repeated herself numerous times. It was humiliating to hear this as she degraded me/reprimanding me like a child. All the ranting and wasted time, Elmo would of been there within 15 minutes. Bree is argumentative, combative, self righteous, condescending human being. Furthermore, she lacks exceptional customer service. It was the worst conversation I had in my life. She distracted me by her ongoing ranting. I was in the car driving and listening to her tell me the company is losing money because I didn't agree with the VIP fee. If I'm late! Her groomer will be losing commission. Are you kidding me, Bree. You should be ashamed of yourself. All your care about is your title as a manger. If it wasn't for customers the company with have zero sales in revenue. So unprofessional to talk about sales commission and Petco revenue. According to her statement, "The company is losing 50 to 80 dollars for my VIP 15.00 dollar fee." The conversation was unprofessional, extremely upsetting. Bree couldn't care less about you or your pet. I hope you resolve your issues. Stop treating customers like children and be more flexible. It will make you a better human being. This world is bad enough. Thanks, Bree for taking my free bath and grooming away from me. And banning me from your Petco grooming. I'm a single mother, it would of been nice to receive my free bath and grooming for Elmo. You're beyond evil, it will catch up very soon. No option for Zero stars so have to choose 1 by default. Took my daughter's Pomeranian (a black Pomeranian who is visiting from NYC) to the WPB Petco groomer and they completely shaved all his hair off and did not follow the instructions provided. So upset and in shock he looks like a completely different dog. We asked for a trim of his lion cut. He had a 1 tangle behind his ear and the rest of his fur was tangle free. Groomer Sarah said she would get rid of the tangle behind his ear. We also discussed the short length on the body and full hair in the frame of the face for the lion cut. Also showed pictures and she viewed the groomers notes from Petco in NYC. Left him at the groomer and came back after 3hrs (the time Sarah the groomer told us to come back). When I got to the groomer I saw that Sarah, the groomer, cut all his hair off. My daughter and I broke down from devastation. Groomer Sarah was rude and dishonest stating she told us that she would cut all his hair off. Totally untrue. Why would we want our Pomeranian shaved completely bald. He now looks like a Jack Russell. So upset about this entire thing and even more disappointed because the grooming salon (Sarah) and manager Amy are not taking responsibility for this error and blaming me the customer. Do not have your pet groomed at this place and specifically do not use Sarah Alas after many years of going to Petco, I am ending this relationship. read more

Grooming is horrible here. Myself and 2 other people in the complex had issues with a male groomer being cruel to our dogs. I have viral care and today decided to give it a go again. Called and they can't take my dog on weekends because she gets too excited!!! She's professionally trained, has behavioral and vet evaluations because of her job as a service animal!!! In search of an affordable, qualified dog training program, I happened upon PETCO dog trainer, "Yvonne", who as it turns out, is clearly West Palms version of "The Dog Whisperer." Yvonne utilizes "positive dog training" and guess what? It works! I realize in large part, it does work because of Yvonne's ability to "read" her puppy client AND pet parent. This women is amazing!!! I never expected to find a trainer with the keen knowledge and sensitivity Yvonne has. "Bailey" and I have learned so much from her. He had to have a shot for pain and more pain meds prescribe with cream and ani inflammation pills. My boy was happy healthy and energetic two days ago when I dropped him off to be groomed. I just relocated from Scottsdale to Florida. I was desperate to purchase a new cage for my parakeets. Their cage had a bent top from moving and they were getting out! I called this store and spoke with a fantastic employee Brooke. In a world where most people are dismissive and in a hurry ..... SHE was not at all. Aside from her professionalism she was very informative concerning cages. She was so patient and more than willing to give her advice on what cage would be the best. i don't even know where to begin.. me and my boyfriend went in to purchase a little hut for our hamsters and some food when we came across the little pets. the hamsters were terribly taken care of! i'm not even sure if they're cared for properly. their habitats barely had any shavings and their wheels were knocked over. One of the gerbils had a bloody nose and lip and was chewing on a rusty piece of metal. let me not even start with the fish, most of them were half dead and one of them was floating in yellow water and was probably dead for days!!! i ended up leaving with a baby betta fish. before buying it i was concerned because it was floating sideway so i opened one of the betta foods and fed it and it literally SPRUNG BACK TO LIFE. i left with the food and the fish.. she is perfectly fine now but that just proves that these employees aren't feeding the animals?? this needs to be noticed and taken care of immediately. read more
