Crystal was the silver lining to the whole experience. She was very attentive to my pup, and my little pup was put at ease in Crystal's capable hands. As long as Crystal is there, we'll be back! Lady bug just adored the attention she received and was so proud she literally was prancing to the car as we left. Thank you Crystal, for making this experience positive. The Springfield Camp Bow Wows do not follow the standard protocol and doggy care we've experienced at other locations across the country. Our sweet bully breed passed the interview in Georgia with flying colors. I called Springfield East to make a reservation (we would be vacationing in the area), and they indicated she would need to have another interview. I was a little disappointed, but agreed anyway. When we brought her in for the interview, it was clear the Camp Counselor hadn't read our dog's intake form. Our dog was kenneled for 2 hours (stressful) before the introduction. They brought her into a yard and made her meet another dog immediately without giving her time to get used to the smells of the yard, or relax from being in the kennel, and was kept on her leash. From the video, you could tell the Camp Counselor was afraid of our 80-pound dog. We called immediately, since our dog has some leash aggression from being beaten by her previous owners and should not be introduced on a lead. They apologized for not reading the intake form, and agreed to reintroduce her off-leash. They reintroduced her to an old fragile greyhound, and again were afraid of my strong dog. They did not pass her the second time, but agreed to keep her for our full reservation (just without play time), and would re-test her the following morning when she was more relaxed. They said either way, they would text us with an update following the re-test. By 1:30 the following day, I had not received any update. I also noticed she was not in any yards, and did not get "off-time" exercise as promised. We cancelled our vacation and the reservation a day early. When we picked up our dog, they gave us the dog bed we left and the food before bringing her out. Her dog bed was not warm, which means it was never in the kennel with her. This location is a gross misrepresentation of the great franchise that is Camp Bow Wow, from experiences in Nevada, Tennessee, Ohio, and Georgia. This office should be ashamed of themselves and embarrassed to call themselves dog lovers.
