The groomer their hacked up my dog.

I took my dog to be groomed and asked for a trim and they hacked all her hair off. What a horrible job!!!!!

DONT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE. My roommate and I got our 11 month old lab mix pup groomed (bath and nails) done on 2/15/20. When we picked her up she was quiet, and we noticed a slight limp. The staff said it went well and reported nothing out of the ordinary. She continued to limp around for the next few days. Fast forward to today...our dog is now at the emergency vet under anesthesia and getting X-rays because of her severe pain level, shaking, crying, whimpering. The orthopedist believes it is a hip or leg fracture. Also a $600 bill to pay. We have called Petco numerous times to complain with zero response from the store and from corporate. Please save your dog the abuse and go elsewhere. We will be contacting whomever we need to to ensure this does not happy to anyone else's pet ever again.

Poor customer service and quality. The fish display was more of a burial site than a place to pick out a fish for your kids tank. The staff was not very knowledgeable when it came to any kind of tank care or fish compatibility. They also falsified their actual hours of operation.

Take my Pomeranian to the seekonk location and every time she comes out looking amazing. Very patient and friendly employees.

Padded harness - and he seems to like it! :)

Stopped in with my pooch to get him a harness for walks. It was 8pm and the store was fairly busy with an obedience class going on. I brought him to the harness section and tried figuring out what size to buy - but of course could not navigate all those straps while trying to keep my pooch from trying to join the other dogs! Finally I grab what looks close to his size and get into line. The cashier had 4 people in line but was doing her best getting people rung out while calling for back up. Back up hadn't arrived so the sweet cashier tried to help me when we realized it was the wrong size! I got out of line and went back over to the harnesses as back up showed up! The girl Holly, who helped me find a great fit was very helpful, knowledgable and a true animal lover. She was great with my pup - he was loving all the attention! This isn't my usual Petco - but if I were on Route 6 and needed something for my pup or wanted some good recommendations on a product - I would come back to Seekonk Petco!

I couldn't shop here because the second I walked in, I nearly fainted from the stench. Filthy store. Like rotting fish and urine.

The orientation, which cost nearly $50, felt like a waste of time. I was treated like a beginner and walked through the basics of how to use a clicker and give a dog a treat. I understand people need instruction, but this could've easily been covered in 10 minutes, especially for someone who has common sense. The bigger issue, however, is their 60-day expiration policy on class packages. I only got to attend two classes before my package "expired" on December 9th. I reached out on December 30th after being unable to sign up for a class and was told that they only extend passes for medical reasons (illness or injury). When I asked if they could extend my package by 60 days (since I clearly missed the fine print), I was essentially told no. Instead, they offered me the option to pay more money to upgrade to a "Great Dog Flex Pass." Here's the kicker: I was trying to sign up for classes, but many were already booked 2-3 weeks out, and the remaining spots were only available if someone canceled, with 24-hour notice. So, with a busy schedule it is tough to plan around that. When I asked for an extension I was told "Our expiration dates are clearly stated on the website and displayed by our scheduling system each time you sign up for a class." Fine, but if you're running a small local business, wouldn't you want to keep a customer coming back, especially after they've already spent so much money with you? I was just looking for a little understanding and flexibility, but instead, I felt like I was being nickel-and-dimed. Very disappointed with my experience and will not be returning. If you're looking for a place that values its customers and operates with a little empathy, I suggest looking elsewhere.

I am a first time dog owner and I was very anxious about training when I first got my dog. Puppy day school helped train Wally and conferences/classes also helped train me. Wally was at Crossbones for about 3 months, August-October 2022. The investment lasts far long after the program ends. Wally remains a well socialized, well mannered, well trained little guy. Walks great on a leash, loves his crate, is neutral with other dogs, no separation anxiety, I could go on forever. Every time we have people over or bring him somewhere, people say "you have such a polite dog". We really do! And like I said, the program and these classes are built around training the owner as well. You could realistically attend their classes without your dog and still get the same benefit by implementing everything you learn at home. We have several friends with new puppies- I've been able to help a lot and offer advice based on everything I've learned. Of course I always recommend Crossbones :) but being able to help on my own and people seeking out my advice is a great feeling too! If you're on the fence and it's in your budget- it is worth it! We don't regret a thing!

Sydney appeared on the surface to be a knowledgeable dog trainer but she lacks effective communication skills and applies questionable methods in her training of reactive dogs. While my primary issue resides in her poor communication I do recall one occasion where she pulled Odin's slip lead so tight while he was barking at a dog passing by that you could hear it choking him. We had multiple sessions that had same day cancellations on their end. Which is a double standard considering their policy for their customers requires at least 24 hours notice or it will result in a loss of a session or a $65 fee. They definitely value their time and money more than yours. On one occasion I had to reach out to her the morning of our scheduled session to confirm we were still on. She responded 6 hours prior to our session that she had an evaluation that was going to overlap because she forgot to follow up with me. The appointment was rescheduled. On a separate occasion we had a group training session scheduled but the other dogs canceled an hour and a half prior to the session. She said she would reach out that day or the next to reschedule. Two weeks had passed and I hadn't heard a word. I had to reach out to her. She replied by saying "my b for not getting back to you, weekends have been busy busy." We had an exchange via text and she ultimately decided she no longer wanted to work together and she put me in contact with Joe. He offered two sessions with him or a $250 refund. I paid $2,500 up front with the agreement that Odin's training didn't have a set number of sessions but rather we would work with him until he was good to go. Joe undermined that agreement when he offered only 2 sessions. Had he decided to honor my previous agreement with Sydney I would have taken that offer. I didn't agree on the $250 refund since they had only accomplished basic obedience training with Odin. Which he was already well versed in when in a calm environment. One session consisted of her feeding Odin Pirates Booty from a muzzle for 40 minutes. They said in their session confirmations that the session will last an hour. Very rarely was this the case and most of our sessions ran below that time frame. Odin's real issue was resource guarding and his reactivity to other dogs and children. That training was never completed. I do take responsibility for removing the rubber piece off of the e-collar because I thought it was on there to protect water from getting in and I was attempting to charge it. However, the new e-collar they ordered had been in for some time and we never began working with it. Also, they get the cheapest e-collars they can pass with. You're better off buying your own. Which I did. Even though I didn't agree on the $250 refund Joe took it upon himself to refund it to my account anyway. I also never received the new e-collar which he stated was the reason he wouldn't refund more. As a side note, they claim to make training plans that adapt to the dog and the owners needs. Sydney never asked me to demonstrate how Odin walked with me on leash. Rather she had a generic format she implemented instead. At the end of the day I feel they're highly dependent on the e-collar for their training, have very poor customer service and need to develop a stronger work ethic. I would highly recommend seeking training from a more reputable, professional and qualified trainer.
