Little critters are livin it up at this Petco. The store is super clean and takes good care of its animals. My kids love looking at all the little pets like fish, birds, reptiles, and hamsters. The store keeps the living conditions very clean and that makes me happy for the animals. Sometimes this store seems understaffed and it takes a while to get help in the aisles, especially in the fish section. Not a big deal since I can tell the animals come first here. read more

Grooming stations close whenever employees feel like it. Came in on two consecutive days and both times I was told the stations close at different times, none of which is advertised on the site. I brought my dog Pancho in for his first bath there and am so happy with the results :) my kids were so excited how good their usually stinky puppy smelt and he felt so soft. This was my first time using the self wash at this location and I have to say I was very disappointed. From the time I walked in, I didn't feel welcome at all. $15 is way too much for the poor quality of products your given to use; from the shampoo (basically water), to the towels (so thin they don't absorb anything) even down to the apron (so old it didn't help at all prevent my clothes from getting soaked). Because of this, I won't be going back. I'll stick with Dirty Dogs in the future where the staff is friendly, and all of their self serve bath products (which includes your choice of shampoo based on your dog's skin type, cotton balls/cleaner to clean ears as well as a choice of deodorizing after bath dog "spritz") is included in the price. read more

Every time I drop my fur baby off I know that she is in good hands and comes out smelling amazing each and every time. The staff is so caring and loving of dogs. We don't even live closeby, but we come to get Fido groomed because their manager (Mike) does such a great job! I took Fido to two different groomers before finding Mike and I am so glad I did (the process of waiting for their hair to grow out is such a pain when you just want them to look good- lol)! I like Fido groomed with a particular cut and Mike knows exactly how to do it. When we initially met he showed me photos of other dogs he groomed of the same breed and went into further detail about the coat, the kinds of cut, etc. I felt comfortable right away because he knew what he was talking about and I've been a happy camper (for the most part) after each grooming session. Fido's always happy to see Mike so it makes me even happier. I saw an employee have a hard time getting his harness on and it broke my heart to see/hear him cry because he was just staring at me through the door - I even offered to put it on myself (it's always challenging for us to get his harness on so its a bit of a chore). I just wish they had a play pen/play type of area where they could run around before/after. read more

Just leaving PetCoach for the 2nd time in an hour. Bought Fresh pet Vital Grain Free dog food ($12.00 for 1.7 lbs) only to get home and find that it expired 5 days ago. Took it back and the manager told me "sorry, we try and take expired stuff off our shelves ". I went back to get another bag and found 2 others that are expired. If the best your manager can do is "try", you need a new manager! Here's a piece of advise for Pet Coach. We have been waiting for a month for a grooming appointment. Our appointment is at 2:15. We arrived right at 2:15, but since our dogs were litter outside to avoid a mess for petco. We go in at about 2:20, we waited in the line to talked to the cashier and she went inside to get the groomer out. We waited for about 7 minutes. As soon as the groomer come out, she said that she couldn't complete the service today and tell us to reschedule. She said we are late for the appointment but that's mostly because we are waiting for her. She didn't seem like she wanted to groom my dog. read more

Disappointed in what they offered (for fish) as it was about 50% their own brand, and the rest was not what I would use out of experience. I've brought both my girls here a couple of times. Always, does the grooming for my big husky/st Bernard come out fantastic! She looks like a million bucks! I use the self wash stations with my little pitbull and have to say they are always really clean stations and provide extra towels nearby on top of the shampoos and brushes you need. The Animal Hospital is really efficient as well. One of my girls had a little growth, and I called immediately and was able to bring her in same day! Everyone is so sweet and welcoming. The two star rating is because they actually have a wonderful that vetrinarian named Dr drelich is a UC Davis graduate. He also has some pretty knowledgeable vet techs working for him. The customer service at The Grooming Center is beyond bad. How long do you think somebody should stand and wait for a groomer when there are no other customers waiting and several groomers in The Grooming area with their hands in their pockets doing nothing? The the regular customer service representative cannot answer any questions so why are they at the register for the groomers? Furthermore when you give them information they cannot seem to comprehend what you just told them. You can ask a question and they will answer with an answer that is completely unrelated to the question that you just ask them. Meanwhile there now are even more groomers standing around with nothing to do. Why can't a groomer be at that register to answer grooming questions? That would seem rather logical since the other customer service representatives are not at Liberty to respond to questions regarding grooming matters. Oh and they quoted me one price and then pointed to a piece of paper that had a different price. When asked the description of the services more specifically they had no idea. This is a very nice looking facility and fairly new but they really seem to be pretty clueless overall. I have asked questions of the regular customer service individuals regarding specific training and they didn't have a clue about any of those issues either. It would be far better to put a large iPad on the wall and have everybody just Google stuff instead of bothering to go into the store for anything. This post is specifically about one of the veterinarians at Pet Coach, Dr. Oren Drelich. He was the vet for our dogs when he was at a different hospital in Temecula. He is conservative, doesn't go overboard by giving medications or surgeries that are not necessary. He tries to save his customers money, as we all know how expensive pet care can be. I have never trusted a vet more than I trust Dr. Drelich with my pets. I will follow him anywhere he goes. read more

Miracle Vet, that's what Dr. Oren Drelich is! Took my 15 year old mini schnauzer in with GI issues that were unresolved for weeks and weeks after multiple vet visits elsewhere. Different Rx, and instructions = miraculous results! This vet is super personable, smart, smart to the nth degree, and and advocate for keeping expenses down without compromising care. I'm super let down by this place. Normally I take my dog to the vet to get his anal glands expressed and nails trimmed. I thought I could knock this out at PetCoach with the added bonus of a bath for cheaper the price of a vet visit. I completely regret doing this. This grooming appointment took nearly three hours and when I picked up my dog he was so stressed out. They didn't even express his glands and only cut two of his nails. The worse part about this was when I took him back to the vet less than a week later she said his glands were completely full, which I already knew. Also, he has NEVER had trouble getting his nails cut but was screaming when they touched his paw. What a bummer that my baby now has PTSD from using PetCoach services so much so that I have to sedate him now if I want to get his nails cut at the vet. read more

You even get a dog toy or treat every month! The employees were all so friendly and welcoming. The $2 self service wash was enough to get me to sign up, but after learning about all the additional benefits you get with being a member, I won't go anywhere else for anything dog related. This has to do with fish. Long time patron of Petco in for about $1,200 annually for cat and bird food, but the recent experience and (lack of) resolution by management for my little $10 fish issue means no more $1,200 revenue per year and this post :-( Had tetras and half of them died once appropriately introduced to my tank (note; I have over a dozen fish--including tetras--getting along swimmingly--get it :-). 30 day guarantee to replace but the way it went down at the front counter with the "manager" of the store that day was unfortunate. His "aquatic specialist" was on hand who, after seeing the carnage of four one-inch tetra's in the little plastic baggie I brought declared a test of my water was required before they could possibly allow me to take home any more fish. That angered me. 1. I didn't know a "water sample" was required if a 2-dollar fish died. 2. They are 2 dollar fish 3. why do a dozen fish live quite well in the exact same environment, save for the ones you sold me? The snarkiness of the "aquatic specialist" was one thing, the inability of the store manager to resolve was another. I obviously couldn't resolve with the store manager because he either didn't know how or didn't care to. He said the only way to reach his boss was an 800 number which angered me more. I went to an 800 number where a "customer service" rep did everything she could to avoid me talking to the "regional manager" but that exchange was frivolous. As of this posting, the "regional manager" has yet to care to contact me. Sad. I was actually hoping a grown-up would call me and resolve. Not yet. I suspect will find individuals well more versed in all things fish at PetZone for my fish needs, and we are happy to go to Kahoots for all our other pet needs. Bottom line: if you want in and out come here if convenient. If you want something other than supplies, like service--look elsewhere. read more

2 stars for Grooming experience for my 13lbs. Dog.. I always check my dog after groomed to see if there is an issue with the cut, nails etc. There was none at the moment and everything was perfect, gave the groomer a good tip. The next day, I brush my dogs hair (daily routine) and everything was good except the his hair on his head is full of ear powder, you couldnt see it but I felt it and I know its ear powder (Ear powder helps the ear canals stays dry and not to oily) so I noticed that his head is full of powder, I tried to brush it off because I was like oh maybe she just accidentally put some on top.. next day, when the powder wears off, i noticed my dogs hair (head part) is so uneven and just not good to see. I was mad because on that issue because they tried to be smart on it by putting ear powder to get it settled and to make look unnoticeable... I calmed myself to just brush it off and just let them know next time, but today I just cant hold it anymore when I see my dogs hair. LOL. esp. When i paid almost $70 for the groom. read more

They just told us they are shutting down all of their dog daycares. They just opened and we invested so much time with them. This news came at the worst time as I just decided to accept a new job and place my dog in their care daily while I worked. How could they do this to their members? My dog loved daycare and it was the best thing about their facility. We will be canceling our membership immediately and will never shop here again. The best veterinary experience I have ever received. Instead of just throwing a bunch of unnecessary and overpriced treatments like most vets I've been to in the past. The vet and his assistant carefully examined my dog and recommended waiting to see if my dogs sprained leg would heal on its own. Explaining that if it doesn't then come back in a few weeks and get and X-ray and look into surgical options. Absolutely wonderful. I am a member at PetCoach and for 9.99 a month you get 5 free visits a year. That's gold.
