My brother, who works for the county of San Diego, invited me and my husband for Filipino night at Petco Park. He procured some special 2025 Filipino heritage tank tops for us. I wore my standby favorite 2024 San Diego Padres Filipino Heritage jersey. I remember when Petco Park was still in their construction phase and our group was given a private tour. In the Air Force, we had a nonprofit group, The Top Three, which raised funds for morale, etc for our squadron. We had contracts with other venues to do volunteer work in their concession stands and reap 10% of total sales. Needless to say, we were able to raise a great deal of funds for the unit. We were hoping to broker a similar agreement with Petco Park. Since its official opening wasn't until 2004, our unit members willing to volunteer decreased so we never worked Petco's concession stands. I do recall that they had state of the art beverage delivery systems. I had gone to a company event at Petco in 2005. My mom & dad were able to go and were just so excited. My dad proudly wore his Padres baseball cap, t-shirt, and was ready to cheer on his favorite team. My mom said he could barely sleep the night before! It is such a fantastic and well structured stadium. Having the trolley nearby is so convenient and this stadium is such a great addition to downtown. The seats are comfortable and the electronic displays and screens make it easy for visual reference & entertaining. It's truly a great home base for the San Diego Padres.

LOYAL TO THE SOIL!!!! PETCO IS HOME! America's most beautiful ballpark with America's most loyal fans. The San Diego Padres are not just a baseball team, "The Dad's" are a Cornerstone cultural element to "America's Finest City". Nestled in the heart of downtown San Diego, Petco Park stands as a testament to the beauty of modern ballpark design and the enduring spirit of America's favorite pastime. From the moment you step foot inside, you're enveloped in an atmosphere that seamlessly blends the nostalgia of baseball's rich history with the excitement of the game before your eyes. Never once have I walked into Petco and not smiled to myself with a genuine feeling that I'm home again. The first thing that strikes you about Petco Park is its breathtaking architecture... The stadium's sleek lines and contemporary design are a sight to behold against the backdrop of San Diego's vibrant skyline. Whether you're admiring the iconic Western Metal Supply Co. building, which has been seamlessly incorporated into the ballpark's structure, or taking in the panoramic views of the cityscape and bay from the upper levels, every angle offers a new perspective on this architectural marvel. But Petco Park isn't just a feast for the eyes--it's a sensory delight. The sound of the crack of the bat, the smell of freshly cut grass, the taste of a hot dog (a Barrio Dog is a MUST!) and/or peanuts--every aspect of the ballpark experience is carefully curated to immerse you in the sights, sounds, and smells of the game. No matter where you sit in the park, you will enjoy the game and the view! Of course, what truly sets Petco Park apart is the vibe and energy of the Friar Faithful!!! Whether you're sitting in the stands cheering on our beloved Padres or soaking up the atmosphere at one of the park's lively bars or amazing FOODIE restaurants, there's an undeniable sense of camaraderie that permeates the air. From die-hard season ticket holders to casual fans enjoying a night out, everyone is united by their love of the game and their passion for our team. But perhaps the greatest thing about Petco Park is its versatility. Whether you're looking for a personal escape to destress and unwind (I love coming here after work!), planning a romantic date night with a loved one, or seeking a fun-filled outing for the whole family (Kids fest on Sundays is amazing!!!), the ballpark offers something for everyone. Take a leisurely stroll along the promenade, indulge in some local San Diego cuisine at one of the park's gourmet foodie eateries, or simply sit back and soak in the atmosphere as you watch the game unfold when watching an amazing sunset over the third base side or at night beneath the stars. Petco is more than just a baseball stadium--it's a destination. With its stunning architecture, immersive atmosphere, and passionate fanbase, it's the perfect place to experience the magic of America's pastime. So whether you're a lifelong Padres fan or just for a memorable night out, do yourself a favor and make a trip to Petco Park. You won't be disappointed. Here are some quick tips for the newcomers here... - EVEN numbered sections are the away team/3rd base side of the field. ODD numbered sections are the Padres/1st base side of Petco. - If you're going to a Day game (which happen to be my favorite here) you're likely going to get A lot of sun if you're sitting on the 1st base/right field side... But also any of the rows 1-25 on the third base side as well. - The left field area (sections 126, 128, 130, etc) tend to be a little bit wilder (I lovingly call it the party zone). Trust me.. I still take my family here without issue since they are great seats with great access to food, the team store, and bathrooms right next to where you're sitting. LFGSD!!!!

Love this ballpark it's amazing. They have so much to do and eat. This is our 3rd year of being season ticket holders. We drive over an hour to watch a game.

I love going to Petco Park and I don't even like sports that much! It's a beautiful, clean stadium with so many choices for fine food and drink, or more typical ball park fare like popcorn and hotdogs (which are also quite fine by me too). There isn't a bad seat in the park!

Petco park is amazing. I have been there for padres games, to go on the behind the scenes tour, and for corporate events in the suites in the western metal building, the beach area, and most recently the landing. What a beautiful baseball park and the surrounding area is not too bad either. Even if the Padres don't win, it is still a fun experience. Cool that you can bring in some food, and some water, but they don't like cameras with detachable lenses.

The excitement on opening day was palpable. You probably know but Petco Park is rated #1 ... it deserves that! We walked to the park but saw reasonably priced parking all around. The stadium has multiple entrances with plenty of screening staff. The tickets were in our iPhone wallet and we had no problems at all. The cocktail line moved quickly and the tequila in my margarita was plentiful so the costly drink still made me say YAY! Three of us shared beef brisket nachos and will again on our next visit, huge portions with some left over. Sadly, Padres lost but ... we still love them more than margaritas and nachos.

Built with probably age 7+ in mind but my toddler was able to enjoy everything easily. The slides were metal but it didn't burn anyone going down. I was happy there was a good amount of shade! Bring your own food and snacks. Prices are ridiculous. The ice cream truck was $6 for an ice cream sandwich. Prices are not posted and I didn't have the heart to say nevermind and disappoint the kiddos. Great park!

There are four big pine trees with separate retaining walls around three of them for owners to sit down. With it being so close to the bay, there's often a nice breeze that goes through the park. There's no divide between small dogs and big dogs, so it's best to just keep an eye on your dog, and many owners around here are usually respectful. The street parking immediately adjacent to the park is free, however, it has a limit of 30 minutes, and the parking meter workers are strict on it if they're around. I bring my dog here around lunch time because those who live/ work in the area tend to bring their dogs during their break time and my dog gets his socialization time. They close 8am-11am MWF for maintenance/ cleaning. Currently, both gates are broken so it's not as secure as it should be, and who knows when the city will actually fix it. There're a few agility structures and a water dispenser. The children's park itself looks pretty cool for kids with a lot of structures with slides and swings. There's also another separate area with fixed exercise equipment that looks well- maintained. The water feature in the park is a water feature, not a pool.

After we were doing doing some basic tourist-y things, I hopped on Yelp in search of a few parks located withing the vicinity. Not only was the look and design very unique, you really couldn't ask for a better view. Seating was plentiful and again, the design of things were so cool. Shade is easily found and the play structure is great for children + adults of all ages. Lastly, there are restrooms and water fountain located not too far. Shout out to Ms. Maruta Gardner!! My daughter and I thank you because this place wouldn't have been possible without you. Your dedications and love for your community was undeniable. Liberty Station NTC Park - Spacious, Scenic, and Full of Life…read more Liberty Station NTC Park is such a huge, beautiful space and truly one of the best multi‑use parks in San Diego. It's home to so many local events -- 5Ks, food festivals, art fairs, adoption events -- and there's always something happening. There's plenty of parking nearby, lots of trees for shade, and a great trail throughout the park for walking, running, or biking. You get gorgeous waterfront views, and the whole area is super dog‑friendly. It's the perfect spot for a family gathering, picnic, birthday celebration, dog day out, or a hot‑girl walk. And one of my favorite things: after hanging out at the park, I love heading to the Liberty Public Market food hall or True Food Kitchen for something to eat. A great, versatile outdoor space that really shows off the best of Liberty Station.

It all sounds perfect with the exception of the airplane noise up above. The San Diego international airport is nearby and the planes pass by so frequently and loudly, you cannot hear. Also, I hate the planes immision of air pollution. Even if you wear your earbuds to cancel the plane noise, the air pollution is more prevalent here :( I like this park, my friends live nearby in Point Loma so we've frequented this park. I suggest you visit but keep in mind the overhead plane noise and air pollution.
